I live in France and I recall that about 10 years ago a school in Juan La Pin came under fire because the Muslims complained that a student had bought ham sandwiches for lunch. This was huge in the media . The mayor of Juan La Pin told the Muslims concerned that there is over 45 countries that would uphold the rules of the Muslim religion and offered to pay for their flights to those countries. If you come to Western Europe for a better life then you must be prepared to accept the culture, if not then don`t come here.

Thats not true. As a Christian, i can pray anytime of the day. The difference between Muslims and Christians is that Christians can pray anywhere anytime and anyhow. Average Christians pray before meals, before start learning, before talking with someone something deep and so on. We even fast too. We just shouldn't make it obvious to anyone that's why we are kept out of these discussions. Jesus tells us to go in privacy when we want to pray so we can ask for a room if possible but not required. The same is for other religious groups. Generally speaking, Muslims tend to be more vocal about prayers but lots of religious groups like Hindus would want a room too. Its not practical

Resulting in dogmatic diktats by the minority imposing its will, their sensibilities and cultural norms upon others turning a school into a religious school at whim of the mob.
New laws must be introduced for a no nonsense approach which vehemently states that any child or parent exhibiting such behaviour will be relayed to the home office and they will revoke the citizenship's of the family and children resulting in their deporting within 48hrs to Rwanda or from whence they came as well as being issued with a lifetime immigration ban.

As a devout druid, I require a stone circle. As a panthiest, I demand a woodland dell. As a shaman, my kids must take their psychoactives on a full stomach at lunchtime to reach the required dream state before break-time. If we all share the same prayer room, who clears up the mess following the crusades, fatwa, pogroms and Bantu expansion? @AWorld180

The people causing the trouble with the threats etc should find a Muslim only school for their, kids! But saying that I feel sorry for the children having to move school, also the fact that it sounds like they are being brainwashed and radicalised by their parents. This has be stopped in its tracks, it's ridiculous thats it's allowed to happen in England in 2024. We will end up like a third world country if it's not nipped in the bud!

I think it is absolutely wrong that we have faith based schools in this country in 2024. Schools should be not just for learning knowledge but also for social integration. Children who have immigrant parents who don't want their offspring to integrate can use faith schools as a means of isolating their children from the world - especially girls. Just for this one reason faith based schools should be banned and religion removed totally other than religious education teaching children what religion is and the differences - nothing more. It really make me sick.

For those saying it isn't a Muslim prayer ban, it is. It's a clever way to allow people of other faiths to eg quietly pray on a bench as their religion allows, but specifically prevents Muslims from practising their prayers. How is praying five minutes going to 'destroy the cohesion of the school' or 'go against Britishness'? How ironic that she claims she wants 'equality' but at the same time discriminate against Muslims by not allowing them their freedom of identity and religion as Muslims. Sounds like the hijab ban in France. To 'liberate everyone' everyone has to be forced to behave the same. That's not respecting difference, it's imposing a monolithic culture where no one is allowed to 'step out of line', all because she thinks praying 5 minutes at lunch is a problem. So glad I didn't put my children in that school. Shame on her.

There was no prayer room or organised prayer , as she said there was no issue for years but then clearly some activists got involved and she allowed pupils to pray in the playground which seems to have annoyed some people , I would suggest those people were Muslims from the more conservative end of the scale who saw them praying outside and concluded that this school was not catering to their religious sensitivities. It is very simple , if you want your kids to get a good education at a highly rated school you need to accept that your religion is not important to anybody else but you, if you can't do that remove your children. I for one am getting tired of this cult bullying all and sundry with their demands.
