Now we are dating pretty steady. So men do ignore the women between dates and make yourself desirable to other women and see what happens.
That’s so funny because I’m the total opposite. I NEVER go for the guys all the other girls want. I don’t want those guys at all…I find the “Diamond in the rough” type guy that most other women overlook. Not saying they’re not good looking or well built (cuz they are) but they’re not the kind of guy women swoon over. But the guys I like have this *thing* I can’t quite put my finger on it, but they’re just a little different. Special in their own way and not like the others. It’s this innate thing I feel from them. I remember when I was reading The Game by Neil Strauss (a classic BTW) I told a younger, hot girl I was trying to pick up all the strategies I'd learnt in the book & I was trying them on her while telling her I was doing them. I ended up in relationship with her & she was an abusive narcissistic - so it turned out very badly. I had this exact thing happen. Long distance. Girl and I would talk but since it was a long ways I figured why bother I would just stop talking for a month at a time. I somewhat "ignored" this old coworker (let's call her Sarah) who apparently found me annoying. She's a bartender at my old catering job, and whenever I approached her or a fellow bartender, I would tell the same joke, "I'll have one large beer to help me get over my ex-girlfriend." One time, she said to me as I approached, "John, I don't want to hear it." A week or so later, I was approaching her coworker, and from the distance, Sarah said "John" in a stern voice. So yes, I was annoyed and since then, I didn't really interact with her. Went from outgoing to quiet. Sometimes she'd say hi to me when we saw each other, and I would emotionlessly say hey. I think a few times she would ask me to do this favor/task and I would just nod my head. Once or twice she thanked me and I didn't respond. I left the job, went to work in this cafe in the same building, but came back for this one particular service. The catering crew were REALLY desperate and reached out to me. In the ballroom, I made eye contact with Sara, who was only a few feet or so from me. What's funny is she _approached_ me; she could've just acknowledged me and went on with whatever. I know I would've. She asked me how I was (to my slight surprise), said she heard I switched to the cafe downstairs, asked me if I liked the job. So many guys use this strategy to cope for having low self esteem and fear of rejection. To me they are the most pathetic of all, worst than guys who actually try and get rejected, way worse. Because they are below these women yet somehow delude themselves that they are somehow better than them and "have better things to do" than talking to women. I agree that giving her too much during the first 1-3 dates evaluation phase (chocolates, flowers, expensive gifts, etc.) is a bad idea. It looks needy, desperate, and clingy. Ok, I connected with this guy on match, we seems to like each other, he said straight that he does not like the back and forth text messages, he prefer face to face, but he was going to be out of town for 2 weeks, and if I don’t fall in love with somebody else while he is out, is a coffee date! Its not a big deal. I have been getting so used to being ignored by women over the course of the past 5 years, that the boomerang is coming back now. I had this exact thing happen. Long distance. Girl and I would talk but since it was a long ways I figured why bother I would just stop talking for a month at a time. Finally she couldn't take it and flew out to visit and basically jumped me in the driveway. She told me it drove her nuts that I'd talk and then she wouldn't hear from me. She said it "pissed her off" but we know that it wasn't in a way that she'd walk away.

I somewhat "ignored" this old coworker (let's call her Sarah) who apparently found me annoying. She's a bartender at my old catering job, and whenever I approached her or a fellow bartender, I would tell the same joke, "I'll have one large beer to help me get over my ex-girlfriend." One time, she said to me as I approached, "John, I don't want to hear it." A week or so later, I was approaching her coworker, and from the distance, Sarah said "John" in a stern voice. So yes, I was annoyed and since then, I didn't really interact with her. Went from outgoing to quiet. Sometimes she'd say hi to me when we saw each other, and I would emotionlessly say hey. I think a few times she would ask me to do this favor/task and I would just nod my head. Once or twice she thanked me and I didn't respond. I left the job, went to work in this cafe in the same building, but came back for this one particular service. The catering crew were REALLY desperate and reached out to me. In the ballroom, I made eye contact with Sara, who was only a few feet or so from me. What's funny is she _approached_ me; she could've just acknowledged me and went on with whatever. I know I would've. She asked me how I was (to my slight surprise), said she heard I switched to the cafe downstairs, asked me if I liked the job. Curious to see how she'd react (considering her past signs of not liking me), I told her I didn't plan on coming back to catering, and yeah, she did seem a bit surprised: "You're not coming back?" I remember saying "I don't think so" in a slightly disgusted tone of voice. But that wasn't it. That month, at a bar, Sara put her hand on my arm to get my attention and gave a slight wave. I just gave a slight smile and brief, still wave and went forward to catch up with friends (it was crowded). So it's funny...she approached me when I temporarily came back and reached out to me at the bar.

So many guys use this strategy to cope for having low self esteem and fear of rejection. To me they are the most pathetic of all, worst than guys who actually try and get rejected, way worse. I agree that giving her too much during the first 1-3 dates evaluation phase (chocolates, flowers, expensive gifts, etc.) is a bad idea. It looks needy, desperate, and clingy.
But I could not disagree more with the ignoring thing. The ignoring women thing only works for very attractive men and /or on a woman who is attracted to a particular man. If she’s not interested or she is not attracted, not only would she welcome being ignored, she will wholly prefer it. Attractive women want to be just as invisible to unattractive men as they are to them.
If a woman is not attracted to a man, she could not care less about his personality, sense of humor, occupation, or mental games he’s trying to play with her (i.e., ignoring her).
Lastly men need to be hyper self aware. If a dude who looks like Bredan Fraser from the Whale spots a hot 9 or 10, it is extremely unlikely that she is interested in him or would care about being ignored by him.
I got your point but ignoring a woman works and preserves you from wasting your resources. If you ignore a woman and she ignores you back so let it be. Move on because she is not yours. Let us imagine this scenario, you ignore her and she ignores. Now do you want to go back and start chasing her? You will look weak and needy. And she will have leverage over you and she may not see you as man.

Im not needy or thirsty of having a woman around me. The one that is interested will chase me even if I'm a 4 or 5 because that's the normal order for attraction. I kinda agree kinda disagree… It’s true no woman wants a simp type guy chasing after her like a puppy dog and agreeing w everything we say… that said, if you ignore me or act completely unimpressed I’ll immediately lose attraction. Part of my attraction is feeling the man’s attraction towards me…The secret sauce is to let her see that you WANT her. You have eyes for her . She doesn’t have to even question that. Cuz it’s like hardwired into our biology to want exactly that no matter how much we try to deny it. In the romance novel the man is so overcome by the female all he sees is her. He’s damn near obsessed w her-But he always has to hold back for whatever reason or try to keep himself away from her despite his desire. So she’s utterly confused and ends up thinking of him all day long. Salty and sweet, you need both for attraction. Too much sweet gives me a toothache lol. Too much salt makes me think you don’t want me and I move on. Just find that balance and you’ll be way ahead of most men in the dating scene.

Like I said, when you know that a guy is REALLY into you but he holds back, that’s what really *gets* us, and what drives us crazy cuz we’re like…WHY?? If I catch even a whiff of “indifference” I’ll lose attraction 💯. It has to be totally confusing like “I KNOW he wants me 100% so why doesn’t he come after me? Why is he holding himself back?” That’s what causes the mystery (and what causes us to fantasize the most). And when I say we know the guy wants us I don’t mean because he necessarily verbalizes it. A week ago I went to this place where I know for ages after not going for months. The first thing I thought at the entrance was the lady bartender who is always in me face at the time to order. Its not a big deal. I have been getting so used to being ignored by women over the course of the past 5 years, that the boomerang is coming back now.
I intentionally avoid looking women in the eyes at all cost, and even if it happens that i make accidental eye contact, my stomach is immeditalley turning almost litterally upside down.
