Jesus what a bassplayer NHOP was, not even the contemporary Jaco whould have mastered those low fills between the double stops from the solo from 9.00.....

Move over, Barbra Streisand . . . O.P. was one of the greatest "People" of the twentieth century in the field of music and the world at large. How I miss him!

I have been lucky to see and hear several times in Paris Oscar and Ray, Oscar and NHOP (with other sensational side men)but never the 3 together. What a kick

Need a reminder about what you might have missed by attending too many pep rallies? Here it is. The substantial part of my musical education is contained and packaged in this performance and ones like it. Comparative study about piano styles and talents for jazz piano of Erroll Garner and Tatum and Peterson is requested now. We have made this request many times We have yet to see any results. Much of my earlier attention to jazz music came with references to this man's talents. Seeing is believing here.

After experiencing these clips of Oscar, along with the double bass of Brown, and Pedersen, I understand why Oscar is considered one of the all-time greats! The double basses we're equally great.

Oscar Peterson was the consummate virtuoso and liked him best with Ray Brown. The other bassist was fine but he didn't groove like Ray. I also miss great drummer like Ed Thigpen😍 RIP gentlemen.

Neils Henning was “fine?” Oops. He’s one of the greats also. Check it out.

Niels is great; but he’s no ray brown! (Like Jordan is great; but he’s no wilt chamberlain!)
