Pilita actually said "sorry Dong/Dodong". dong is a term used to refer to a male in Bisaya/Visaya.
I was watching Pilita’s interview by another Latino sibling TH-camrs, Waleska and Efra. And according to Pilita, Spanish songs were all the hype during her early years.
The back sideway bending was fhe iconic style of Pelita.
Ang iingay nyo dalawa, tawa ng tawa...

She is Filipina by birth, but spanish by blood. They are known in Cebu. There are many spanish blood Filipino in Cebu that are rich and famous.
*Pilita's swaying of her body while singing has been her trademark. She says she could belt more and reach high notes when she does that. Haha*
Pilita Corrales is a classic singer from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Shes half Filipina half Spanish ,Asias queen of song,,and shes also a Veteran Comedian Actress,,,ons of the most beautiful Celebrity here in the Philippines
She's 3/4 Spanish and 1/4 native, not half, her mother is full Spanish and her father is mestizo
Filipina insulares! Or white filipina!
Thank you beautiful ladies for another awesome reaction vlog to one of my favorite singer Pilita. 👍🏼❤️
Pilita has a unique voice and style singing,,so classy and gorgeous woman…
Besame mucho was my Grand father and Grand mother’s favorite to play in our vinyl player when I was young.I can vividly recall around 1987 I was already in Grade 1, they would play this song every Sunday. During that time the Spanish influence was so prevalent specially in the provinces. So Nostalgic. I miss my lolo and lola 🙂
9:02 I got surprised at first! My lola is named Remedios and i have this video on window so it's a bit small and i thought that was her LOLLL
Check her tribute to her at ASAP NATIN last month by Gary Valenciano
That is her signature singing style when she bends backward or sidewards
Sol and Luna check out the Filipino and Mexican dance in Mexico. How both nation have that Spanish influences. Posted by Larry Lusanta. A beautiful dance group wearing beautiful outfit and kinda resemblance of a Mexican Spanish dresses . More power to you two. Nos Vemos!
4:15 we pronounce it also without S here in Andalucia Spain
you guys might be interested to Maria Clara at Ibarra episode 2. It's ph in spanish era. It's mix filipino and spanish. Doesn't have eng sub tho.
You already have Christmas decorations? I'm still planning ours hahaha and I'm Filipino LOL I'm late
Yeah we put them up on Sept because of Filipino traditions hahaha but here it's in October
@@SolLunaTV si, gracias guapas.
She speaks Spanish as she's come from a family with Spanish descent. She's so popular during her prime years and in fact a street in Australia was named after her in her honor. Bending her body while singing is her trademark
Pilita went to school at Spain she spoke fluent spanish
She's always reminds me off my late mother who adore her beauty, acting and singing that even her songs,my mom also sings.
That’s her style of singing and she wear with high slit
i'm pretty much binge watching your videos while i have history schoolwork to do (UGH i can't focus) but i love your content so much! as a Filipino, i LOVE my culture and the Spanish language. This is the first time i've heard of Pilita and i'm in love with her voice now
SHE'S FILIPINA WITH A SPANISH FATHER DECENT WITH A MOTHER ALSO MISTIZA SO THAT'S WHY SHE LOOKS WHITE MISTIZA . LOOK AT HER DAUGHTER JACKY LOU BLANCO AND BOTHER MONCHING THEY BOTH DON'T LOOK FILIPINO BUT THEY ALL PROUD PILIPINO.
Pilita has Spanish blood that's why she looks like that. They speak Spanish at home and even in the area where she lives in Cebu City, people in that area still speak Spanish even now. And about "fuistes,' it really depends on the region where you live. It has something to do with the "everyday", "informal" use of the language so don't make it an issue. One example is the word "Ya", most Latinos pronounce it as "ja" while some pronounce it as "ya." Most Spanish-speaking people also have some differences when it comes to speaking the Spanish language so don't make 'fuistes" an issue because Pilita has been speaking Spanish for such a long time more than both of you do.
We have a new teleserye (historical drama) entitled "Maria Clara at Ibarra" (Maria Clara y Ibarra) from Noli Me Tangere. This is one of the novels of our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. Tackles about patriotism and imprtance of history. The main character was summoned to the book so she can witness what had happened during spanish colonial period year 1884.
Nice!
Hello. Can you send us a link that has subtitles?
7:12 She said, "Sorry, dong." Dong is a Visayan word. It is an informal word to address a male person.
He was actually speaking to the sound technician when she said that because she made a feedback sound with the mic by getting close to the speaker, and that created the feedback sound. That is the reason why she apologized to the sound technician but in a funny way.
Pilita es la mestiza Española-Filipina. Abrazen los líricos siempre en inglés, Tagalog, Cebuano o Español. 🎵🎶
Filipino celebs call her mamita, bending her back is her signature pose while she sings and other thing she said "sorry dong" in bisaya language dodong/dong is a young man and Inday/day is young woman.
Filipinos love dancing and singing
If I'm not mistaken, during that time she was sixty plus years old and look at her, still can sing at that age.
She said, sorry Dong (usually the visayans call a lad, Dong, as his name). 😂😂😂
it was not sonido....but sorry dong... "dong" is a visayan word for a young male....thanks, we love Pilita here in the PH...
so we pilipino people are talented
Hola Sol,Luna! Hindi pa kasi uso TH-cam noon nu'ng kabataan niya.
The bend is iconic with Pilita Corrales
Pls react also to Julio and Enrique Iglesias singing Filipino songs like Dahil sa Iyo and others
My favorite spanish song of pilita corales is "La Nave Del Olvido". Please react to that song cause I wanna know the meaning of every lyrics of it, I just like the tune and I always played it. Thank you.
Cebuanos and generally Bisayan people love to have fun and make jokes even at their own expense. They throw self-deprecating jokes to lighten up the room all for the sake of breaking the ice and fun. 😊
Mi pavoreto de a cantar de cancion en titolado siempre ista mi curazon by placedo domingo
a lot of mestizas(zos) from Cebu. My mother is one too but not Spanish but Portuguese.
"Sorry dong".
Dong is a visayan(cebuano) endearment for a young man.
It's part of her concert and she sang so many songs
Bending qas was her signature.
Pilita said, SORRY DONG. in cebuano and if we don't know that person, we call Dong to younger men than you and Day (die to pronounce) for younger ladies or girls.
she said " sorry Dong" it's in a cebuano accent. my dialect.
the words she uttered..".sorry dong" means sorry boy in english...
Hi try to watch Gratata by Rookie Kpop Girl Group ''Lapillus'' there is a Filipina member their name CHANTY, actually She's Filipina-Argentinean she can speak Filipino , English .Spanish,Korean and basic Japanese ...
She's a castiza, full Spaniard mother and mestizo father
Waleska(also a latin american) did a live interview with legendary queen Ms. Pilita Corales.
Nice reaction. I hope you guys get to react to Maria Clara at Ibarra. The show is so good and they speak spanish 60%-ish. I think. Haha. I wanna see how you guys react to how the old filipinos speak back then. Hehe.
Hi Sol and Luna! Can you also react to SAMBIT by Press Hit Play? That's their newest single! 🥰
B4 anybody else in the queendom of Phil entertainment , she is the queen!
She is called Asia’s queen of songs. Her fans are mostly rich people.
Hola Sol y Luna buenas noches!
Sonido is considered a Filipino word in Cebu
In strict Spanish rules of grammar, Fuistes is proper. Fuistes is Past Singular, Second Person, indicative mood for "You were" . Fui, FUISTES, Fue, Fuimos, FUISTEIS, Fueron :)
Es fuiste, without that s
Pilita is from Cebu and majority of mixed race (spanish-filipino) population is from that region because my great grandfather is a white gobernador-general of Cebu from Spain but since my grandmother who looks very latina married a native Filipino so most of us looks like mexican. Hahaha
We were influenced by mexican spanish as well. That's why we say sibuyas (onion) instead for Ilocano as cebolyas which uses double L(ll) as LY.
Sol amd luna try to watch the new teleserye in gma aired last oct 3 here in ph..titled waa maria clara at ibarra the story goes on about the book noli me tangere wroted jose rizal theres a lot of real spanish language and the pure tagalog words way back that year..im sure youll pretty like that teleserye...
Hello. Can you send us a link that has subtitles?
@@SolLunaTV heres the link th-cam.com/video/QrdlJOuC-wM/w-d-xo.html were on ep6 on mon..the cinematography, costume, make up are indeed they copy the actual looks of the character in novela....some of the spanish words on that novela i couldnt understand well
7:37 She actually said "Sorry, dong!" which is Cebuano for "I'm sorry, boy/sir." And no, we don't have "sonido" in our language, ours is "tunog".
she said sorry dong.. sorry dong means sorry boy in Cebuano.
In the middle of the clip, where she looked like she dropped something, she turned to the music director and said "Sorry, Dong" (not "sonido"). Dong is a Visayan nickname used to courteously talk to men and boys. I'm assuming that Ms. Pilita Corrales missed her cue to start singing again, so she apologized to the music director and to signal him to keep on playing/vamping until she can find her way back into the song again.
Here's another Spanish song from Pilita Corrales th-cam.com/video/cV4aACLW2SU/w-d-xo.html
Olla mi amiga mi el como isplicar usted para para y abrirtar y tu curazon..
the "bend" is her trademark.
Mi pueden tu preguntar..como sillamo ustedes
nowadays many Filipinos will speak Spanish
it's not a pure Spanish mix anymore
Spanish Tagalog Visayas English
There are many Filipinos singer can sing spanish like MARTIN NIEVERA,GARY VALENCIANO etc
Kindly react to bini's latest comeback mv strings ty
She speaks Spanish very fluently
Her mother is from Granada… is fuistes a granada thing?
I've heard that mostly from latinos who live in Miami
Sorry dong in Visayan terms .he asking for apology pilita is a singer comedian and actress at the same time .

Miss pilita her husband is Spanish they can talk Spanish you no pilipino and Latino is similarities when it comes to family
Hi Sol and Luna 👋 If you have time, can you please react to "Maria Clara at Ibarra" a new tv series by GMA? Most of the conversations are in Spanish reflecting the history of pre-spanish period in the Philippines, the story written by Dr. Jose Rizal our national here in the Philippines. The novel is Noli Me Tangere. 🙏😁
Noted
Hello. Can you send us a link that has subtitles?
What Pilita said at the start was: This one also probably likes me 🤣
Pilipino no usar sonido solo sound
Carinosa?😃
adding s in a past tense verb is a california thing too most 1st generation hispanic americans say hablastes comistes and it annoys the hell out of me cuz i learned spain spanish and its like talking to a latino trying to sound cool
hahaha mostly of Spanish speakers get annoyed by it specially native speakers because this is a modification made by latinos in the USA and it is grammaticaly incorrect. In our case, we don't mind it but we know it is not correct form of conjugation.
Biro joke
SORRY GUYS MEANING
Sonido is not tagalog
Thanks for letting us know
Sonido no es una palabra filipina.
