Hello guys I'm a Zamboangueno living in Cavite now, It's sad that I haven't interacted with any chavacano speakers in here, thank you for putting so much interest in our language
During my college days ('til mid 80s) I have spanish subject for 2 years. I've noticed that my language (waray) has many spanish words. We even use spanish in telling time and in counting 'til now in waray. We use english often than spanish.

I've watched his video before but I think it's better watching a reaction of it from someone who speaks Spanish. I enjoyed this a lot! And yes, I agree with what you've said with regard to those learning Spanish. I've been studying Spanish myself for more than a year but I still have a hard time with verb conjugations. 😂
The number of spanish speaking filipinos is growing because of high demand of spanish speaking workers in the call center industry. Pay is ranging from USD 1000 - 2000 a month which is quite high because the cost of living here is inexpensive.

Hola! Aside from saying "Si Pablo 'ste/este" , we can also say it "Este si Pablo". And for deeper chavacano we use the word "maga" than "mga" (simpler sentences) but we do used both.

Hola, Sol y Luna! There is another Chavcano that the gentleman in the video failed to mention. The ones from Manila- the speakers are called Ermitaño. They are from Ermita, Manila. This chavacano is Closer to spanish in almost all levels of language (ie phonology, syntax). However, there is no known living speaker of the language anymore.

18:30 yeah i am a native chavacano, i can definitely understand when reading spanish but when I hear it, it just makes little sense or understand like 50-70% of it, maybe because my ear and brain is not used to that kind of sentence structure. But maybe just a month living in a spanish speaking country maybe i can learn fast.

I am quite shocked that the sentence construction is somewhat similar also with Hiligaynon, only with less Spanish words though. What is more shocking is that Chavacano is also influenced by Hiligaynon, alongside Bisaya and Tagalog. I feel like I can learn this language by mere exposure as I am a Hiligaynon/Bisaya/Tagalog speaker myself.
Ilonggo people were recruited by Spanish soldiers to build the Fort in Zamboanga in 1565 .
