And it kind of looks like a baby 458 in some ways. Did I say it looks good?

I bought a new elise some years ago .
Lotus has unique feeling to drive, related to light is right. I hope this one keep the feeling like the elise and evora.
Not the engine, the excellent ( extra ordinary) feeling and a dependable not so powerful engine.
who care the lambo switch or the lcd screen we all hate in our pocket.
I had a 911, but with lotus you buy something different, more fun….
Cost of ownership is also key: smaller engine, less expensive maintenance , more tyres for kms.
I have no doubt they know were they come from and keep their unique way of doing things . incomparable .

It sounds like a great option. I hope a lot of people jump onboard I would love to see Lotus stay around, keeping the purity for many years. Unfortunately, for $60k that means it will be rivaling the well established Supra, more powerful Corvette, and cheaper options that are supposed to have about the same power output like the new WRX STI and Nissan 400Z... I'm not sure if you want to put the AMG 43 and Audi RS3 in this group too, but you get that it's an extremely competitive performance tier...

This car might even make history. Think 40 years into the future, a car exactly like this will be the old retro car that represents everything the sports car has been for some 100 years. It could very well be an iconic car and were seeing it brand new! Mark my words!

Probably not much. That high strung i4 will guzzle gas as it gets into boost. Besides I'd worry more about the costs to maintain the two engines vs the gas.

@@jaybosher6144 Well the turbo is essentialy a free power boost while the supercharger has to be powered by the engine. But it looks like the v6 will be the more expensive option even though it's cheaper to acquire and less expensive to maintain, and has manual transmission.
