    I really love all of the quality care that goes into these meals, what a fantastic staff they have. It speaks to the level of detail that appears to be more important in everyday life in Singapore too. You would never ever see this quality of care in an American hospital- my grandmother was even served obviously spoiled food in a hospital here before, as well as continuously received her roommates specially made meals on accident. And was constantly served sugary foods despite being diabetic. Hospitals here sadly seem to be in the business of keeping people sick as long as possible, so they can make more money off of them.

    This episode is really good, almost reminds me of the Inside Maximum Security Episode where it was cooked for the inmates but this time round is for the children’s. CNA should make more ‘hospitality’ videos progressively

    I love ethical hardworking professional hospital staff. They cook food production (every meal, everyday) with passion and proud of it. Their planning is accurately measured. If prison meals are as professional in the world. It's Human Right. Government Prisoner Staff just don't treat their work seriously. Often jail mate's meals are lacking passion leaving jail mates hungry and lacking nutrition. Easy way just set aside a small production kitchen for cooking sauces, pack well & stored in freezer room for 1 month's cooking.

    Alot of work goes into cooking hospital food for that many paitents, staff and doctors daily. ❤For specialty diets.
    With the operating costs high. I can see why some hospitals only cook for the paitents. And the staff can eat in the food court and pay for their food. This is what happens in some Canadian Hospitals.

      @dialindsey ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@John_Smith_86 Very impressive for a public hospital. Canada Public Hospital is allot of reheating and very very basic food. Mainly frozen veggies, instant mashed potatoes, simple pasta, sandwiches, basic fruits like apples and oranges.... much envy to Singapore.

    • @John_Smith_86

      @@dialindsey We charge even citizen patients a high fee, for access to healthcare. Only the poor have their healthcare paid for fully by the government, and even then their healthcare become restricted modestly in scope

      @@John_Smith_86 True for the most part, one will live and not go bankrupt. Our hospital won't let you die, and will stop there. Good quality of health is up to the individuals pocketbook and knowhow of how to navigate the system.

    The diabetes menu is boring. Confinement Meals got ginseng steam soup. Quality meals. Wah! The food wastage. I always finish all my meals. I really don't like food wastage. If I cook, I will always feel the challenge to make super delicious meals and I would expect people served to finish them. Untouched meals will near zero to my standard. But sick people, you never know when they are sick, they don't feel eating and recovering will be affected slow or fast. A health appetite delicious meal, they will recover fast. Thats the challenging task of a chef.

    20:21 - not an accurate way to measure food waste due to human memory limitations. Implement hybrid AI night vision daylight camera at food waste disposal station on ceiling (reduce splatter on camera), where camera have inbuilt car windshield wiper with spray to DIY clean dirty camera lense. Hardware is cheap, design is ready tech, but management and patent costs makes product expensive. Simple way is to install a phone camera on a metal height adjustable mount linked to AI app, change the ethnic food plates to different colour (plastic?), the AI app will auto trigger based on 1. colour of plate to know which ethnic food it is or special diet it is, 2. visually log the amount of food waste per empty space left on plate. There's no disruption to the speed or productivity of food waste disposal team. Monetise as hospital sci fi movie or real life?

      And your solution would be, without compromising food safety, hygiene and the lack of time for the Operating Theatre staff to get access to a ready-to-eat meal?
      Those packed meals are for Operating Theatre staff (not just doctors but also nurses, allied health professionals and technicians who are involved in OT work). And I can tell you, staff working in operating theatres don't get the luxury of time to eat, especially for the more complicated operations which can stretch for hours on end. They may get a quick 20-min meal+toilet break in between, not forgetting with the need to remove full PPE and then scrub down again and don on full PPE again for it.

    Excellent feature but Genevieve Lee’s accent and tone was quite hard to understand. Perhaps she can practice to develop a bit more of a neutral English accent and to speak with clearer ennunciation. CNA and Genevieve have quite an international reach, and I’d personally love to see more of these kinds of quality features.
