Joe Kewl Except all the methods in the video are actually really slow. The fastest soul grinding technique I know of is repeatedly fighting the golden winged knights on top of Lothric Castle with all the soul amplifying gear on you (using Rapport makes this easy). On NG+7 each run gives you about 279,000 souls, and if all the runs go optimally they last about 2 and a half minutes each. That means you can get about 6 and a half million souls per hour.
welp, it's wrong now for the most souls from a single Souls enemy now since it was before the Ringed City DLC, cause with Ringed City you get Covetous Silver Serpent Ring +3 which gets +35% soul gain and the new boss, Midir, now gets you the most soul gain at 1,115,370 souls at NG+7
all of the game is held within one dataspace, as in every area can be loaded into another. weird way of describing it, basically the dragon place can be unloaded and lothric castle ca be reloaded from there, all within the same place in the game map
In one of my games, and invader just left me 98 Great Champion souls... I got 2,000,000+ souls for it. It took me from roughly lvl 22, to lvl 111 before I'd even beaten Vordt...

Once i farmed the silver knights at anor londo for the covonent and i started with 0 souls. At the end i had 5000000 souls! Thanks Miazaki for making me farm the knights for 5 days!
Were you also wearing the silver serpent ring or were you in NG+? Whenever I farm them for DMB I only kill around 668 which only gives me about 2.5 million souls (while wearing the symbol of avarice for the item discovery).
That actually makes a lot of sense. Assuming that you did not use rusted iron coins nor any weapon that gave you extra souls or item discovery and you had the average Luck of a starting class (10), then you would have an item discovery of 260. PCK (Proof of a concord kept) has a drop rate of 1% at 100 item discovery and 260%*1%=2.6% drop rate for your item discovery. This means that to farm 30 PCK for Darkmoon Blade you would have to kill 30/2.6% or around 1154 silver knights on average with a standard deviation of (30-30*2.6%)^0.5/2.6% or around 208. Now, you got 5 million souls which means that you killed 5000000/2500/1.5 = 1333 knights, which is well within the range of 1154±208.
Farming those was just cruel. I had an instance where 3 silver knights in a row gave me Proofs. I then proceeded to not see another one for over half an hour. It really messes with your heart.

Just have him come into your world and drop a fat 99 then have him reload and drop an additional 99 and so on. Thats honestly how I helped a friend of mine get super powerful early on in the game. Helped her make a build, dropped the equipment and armor she needed, then gave her all the souls she needed to get high leveled and then I had fun watching her still die and struggle cause shes not a good gamer, and she has dyslexia pretty bad so she really struggles on some bosses. Theres no way she would ever be able to beat a dark souls game vanilla on her own. But still, it was fun watching her struggle against bosses I cleaned pretty easily.

Im at the "Twin Princes" & having trouble beating them so far. Iv invested just about every single soul iv earned in the game & played it for so long that today ill be level 160... At Lothric Castle (pathway up to the castle) you can walk the left stairs & go up. You will meet the 3 winged fatboys. If you learn to master them (lure 1 enemy out at a time & kill) then it gives you about 50.000 souls each time. So when i level up i usually go out there with about 300.000 souls, whichis enough for about 2 level ups for me at the moment. Iknow its absolute insanity doing this, but still i do it. Dark Souls is quite the Soul grabbing game!
I had something weird happen once in ds3, I was trying to figure out how to most efficiently boost my soul gain through gear, and I assumed that two shields of want was the easiest way (since it was easy to come across 2, if you went into ng+). I naturally assumed they stacked with each other, since similar stuff had done so, but to put my mind at ease, I decided to go and test it. So I went to the bonfire before the very first boss in the game (Iudex Gundyr) and tried killing the first hollow you encounter with one shield out. Then I tried doing the same with both shields out, but this time (and to this day I still have no proper explanation as to how or why it happened) it gave me 1 soul less than what the one shield gave me. It was a long time ago, so maybe it was a bug in the game somehow, maybe it was the particular enemy I killed that messed up the multiplication of the shields or something else, I honestly don't know. But I do it made me laugh pretty hard, cause it was just so... Random and unexpected. xD

Hey Limit Breakers, I think I found something interesting today while farming the blue Lothric Knight outside Dancer for refined gems. I noticed that the shield & spear knight was aggro'ed while I was running by it only when I wore mirrah vest or knight chest, but not when wearing deacon robe or the like. I tested whether it was equip load by equipping a greatsword in an unused slot, but that had no effect on the aggro range. Does the armor type you use, and which sounds it makes, affect enemy aggro range?
you can duplicate souls by dropping them in someone elses game and not saving. i think. so in a few tries you can have enough to multiply up to 99 easily.
Does that mean you could level a newer character by having a high-level friend re-spec at rosaria to remove all of their VIT, take off all their armour and invade you? That'd probably be enough to be able to one- shot them
If you use the soul items in quick succession then you can boost that number even higher, no? One shot an invader and then use the solid souls before the +number combines with the total.
Wear the set shown here, go to dragon mausoleum bonfire and kill the first blood knight (it will give more souls unlike the next summonings) recharge the area by sitting in the nearby bonfire and repeat, enjoy your farming.
This caen actually go higher. After one- shotting you can quickly swap your mendicant staff for a second shield of want for an even higher multiplicative bonus
So I noticed the overkill mechanic at the high wall. I killed a lot of those praying hallows for early fame souls and I noticed I got more souls if I got a backstabbing or party, although I didn't know how it worked so I assumed that you got more souls from crit kills (ripostes, backstabbing, ect)
Killing multiple enemies at once, or close enough together, adds all the souls together. So in theory you could max out the number of possible invasions with max level invaders and overkill them all in a single blow.
Get max Level friend. Have him equip All Damage Taken Boost items (Calamity Ring, 2 Clutch Rings, Carthus Blood Ring) Summon him as a red. Use the Johnny One Shot Strategy (Profaned Greatsword R2 + Leo Ring Counter Hit) Switch to Soul Gain items ??? Profit. EDIT: I actually tested this. It turns out Soul Levels have scaling. Even with all Soul Boosting equipment I could use (Covetous Ring +2, Symbol of Avarice, Shield of Want) and a Leo Ring Astora Greatsword Counter hit against a Max Level player, I only got around 600,000 souls per kill at SL15. When I maxed to SL68 and did the same thing, I instead got 700,000 souls when used in the same manner. While this isn't the maximum soul gain, it did allow me to level up to SL 120 in under 20 minutes. If you have a good setup and willing friend, you could potentially Meta-Level yourself in under 10, allowing yourself to Easy-mode to game up until Lothric Castle.
Perfect time to go causally one shot maxed players

The overkill bonus goes all the way back to Enchanted Arms. It's even a 20% bonus just like in Dark Souls. The more you know.

So I noticed the overkill mechanic at the high wall. I killed a lot of those praying hallows for early fame souls and I noticed I got more souls if I got a backstabbing or party, although I didn't know how it worked so I assumed that you got more souls from crit kills (ripostes, backstabbing, ect)

Killing multiple enemies at once, or close enough together, adds all the souls together. So in theory you could max out the number of possible invasions with max level invaders and overkill them all in a single blow.

Not really useless, I had no idea about the overkill bonus, and stacking it together with the invader lvl is pretty awesome

Have him equip All Damage Taken Boost items (Calamity Ring, 2 Clutch Rings, Carthus Blood Ring)
Summon him as a red.
Use the Johnny One Shot Strategy (Profaned Greatsword R2 + Leo Ring Counter Hit)
Switch to Soul Gain items

EDIT: I actually tested this. It turns out Soul Levels have scaling. Even with all Soul Boosting equipment I could use (Covetous Ring +2, Symbol of Avarice, Shield of Want) and a Leo Ring Astora Greatsword Counter hit against a Max Level player, I only got around 600,000 souls per kill at SL15. When I maxed to SL68 and did the same thing, I instead got 700,000 souls when used in the same manner. While this isn't the maximum soul gain, it did allow me to level up to SL 120 in under 20 minutes. If you have a good setup and willing friend, you could potentially Meta-Level yourself in under 10, allowing yourself to Easy-mode to game up until Lothric Castle.
