    This is absolute nonsense. She has a serious condition (low Ferritin) and you should have asked about key symptoms of Iron deficiency AND referred her to her GP. Please look up the Iron clinic in London, they have great resources or find the anemia community online for resources. Your advice here is alarmingly vague and outright wrong!

    What about ferritin is normal but tibc and iron saturation is not normal?

    i have a question my Ferririn level is 44 but my other iron labs are normal
    ive been researching and have found that for men and women the optimal ferritin level should begin at 70
    Is this accurate and if so in my case should i take an iron supplement since my Ferritin was 44?
    Thanks

      It means that your iron reserves are low but the more low ferritin goes on it will lower RBC. So get the daily amount of iron

      Iron defiency is very common in menstruating women. Low ferritin shows that your stores are depleted. I would take an Iron supplement and take it with a vitamin C source (vitamin c pill, orange juice, etc) Colonoscopies are recommended in the 50s and beyond but as you still menstruate I would look at that as a source of the iron depletion since you are losing blood, esp. if the periods are heavy. I am not a doctor, but a patient with a similar issue to you. Hope it helps

      You need red meat. We have eaten it daily for hundreds of thousands of years. It does not cause cancer or heart disease those are debunked myths.

    • @chrismasterjohn
      @chrismasterjohn  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not know anything about your case nor even what is in this product and cannot answer that question. Generally a temporary carnivore diet based on red meat, liver, and clams would be the fastest way to correct iron deficiency anemia with food.

      @@chrismasterjohn yes I've tried that before but I think my iron was too low for that. I might need iron infusions. I just wanted hear a different perspective so I compare it with my other notes.

      Hi how its going now?
      In my opinion your Iron is way to low and you have to consider to take a iron injection.
      How are you feeling and did you supplement Iron?

      I’ve always had varying low ferritin,… my last result was 24
      At 59, I’ve continuously been symptomatic, while all being chalked uP to Fibromyalgia, as I entered my 3rd Chapter of life !!
      For the first time, my Doctor’s nurse suggested I supplement with a low dose of 25mg, and just after one week, I’m already improving,… my breathing is noticeably better, having deeper sleep and I just feel more alert than I ever have 🤗 >>>Better late than never, but I am a little more than pissed that not ONE professional ever suggested supplementing with iron, if only to see if it could make a difference ?? As I’m typing this, I’m realizing I haven’t had much of, if any daily anxiety/irritability,… this small inexpensive pill seems to have been the long lost piece of the puzzle I’ve been searching for several decades…

      Not sure why this supposed doctor is telling "probably not" ... yes your low levels of ferritin at 16 is way low even if it was at 30 or 40 or 50 or 60. Ferritin should be closer to 100!!! So you WILL absolutely feel what it is you're feeling. You can experience this as well if your hemoglobin is too low and of course if your iron is low. Take a vitamin A supplement with your iron and vitamin c at least 500mg's this will greatly help you. Also, you should never ever take zinc with copper they'll cancel each other out. you should take them at least 3 hours apart. Hope this helps! Just a concerned citizen.
