This will be a great project. Had an old friend in north central Iowa that restored classic tractors. If he wasn't too busy he would build Super H T/A tractors and take them to shows just to watch people scratch their heads as they walked around it. Guy was phenomenal as a restorer, building tractors that looked far better than original. He would always give me advice or cheap parts for my 300. First tractor I drove as a kid was an H raking hay for hours. Your projects are all fun to watch and learn. Good luck!
Awesome! Keep it up! I have a 1955 Ford 860 that at least two previous owners ago they painted blue and slapped a 4000 sticker on it. My Dad’s school buddy that works on tractors said it was a thing back then since 4000’s and 800’s look similar. I also still have the 860 my grandfather bought brand new. If you ever need anything in southwest Michigan give me a holler. P.S. on the hunt for a KB-3 R-1150 rear axle with the 4.22 gear ratio.
@@ruhtra-k I think maybe I saw where you posted on a FB group that you were looking for a KB-3 4.22? Might have been someone else, either way I’ll keep my eyes peeled.
Have you looked into the possibility that your H might be a demonstrator and maybe the previous owner painted it red because the demonstrator’s were painted all white and then when they went to sell it the dealer would paint over the white and paint it red, perhaps they made a deal without painting it and then painted it red where he thought it would look good and left it white for the same reason. But it’s a really cool tractor!😀🇨🇦
@@keithwarkentin that would be super cool, but alas it isn’t. Demonstrators for the letter series tractors were only Super As, Cubs and Cs in March of 1950. No documented evidence that an H or M was ever painted up as a demonstrator- at least back in the day, many have been since by ambitious collectors and restorers! I think it was just someone with an older tractor trying to freshen it up back in the day with some paint and decals. I think that’s almost cooler, since they didn’t do a bad job at all!
@@Countrylife7128 you’ll have to email me for that, I don’t broadcast locations of junkyards online unless the owners specially request that I do so. eBay parts vultures, etc. can ruin a yard in less than a year and we’ve already had problems on a small scale in this yard with those types.
I saw that H on Marketplace. I agree that is some cool patina. Glad to see you’re going to get it running again.

@@dirtdigger8196 yeah man, I’m trying to get the current Coleman stuff wrapped just so I can start on this one sooner!!
That's you right there Eric. Love that wide front.
@@MarkWYoung-ky4uc thanks Mark! I picked up a narrow front for it as well, just to have the option!
Awesome tractor and video!

That cheaper fuel was called : " Power Parraffin " in South Africa.
By any chance, could you tell me the name of the yard? Because I got old farmalls and I would love to know where to get parts.

@@BareKnuckleBinder I kind of expected that with locations and stuff. But thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
