      It's an unfair contest because Pakistan uses red meat and beef, and those dishes deliver more enjoyable and intense flavour. Even goat or sheep mutton can't compete with beef.

    Nihari was developed in Old Delhi, India, during the reign of the Mughal Empire. Muslim Nawabs (Noblemen) would eat Nihari after their sunrise prayers (Fajr), after which they would take naps until the afternoon Muslim prayers (Zhuhr). It later became a regular breakfast dish for the working class due to its energy-boosting properties.
    Nihari used to be slow-cooked overnight in large pots in order to be given to labourers when they participated in the substantial construction projects sanctioned by the empire. Nihari was served free to labourers.
    After Pakistan was formed and partitioned from India in 1947, a huge wave of immigrants from Delhi settled in Karachi. As many of these immigrants were already involved in the food industry, restaurants were quickly established in Karachi. But many good Indian muslims stayed back and continued the food industry in Delhi.
    When classically prepared, Nihari used to take approximately 6-8 hours just to stew, not to mention preparation time. Thankfully, with the help of modern technology and methods, it is much easier achieve the same result in less time.
    Love from Delhi. Jai Hind. 🇮🇳 (PS: There's more to Indian food i.e South Indian, Bengali, North East Indian..etc)

    This comparison of food from the two nations is ABSURD in my opinion. Both the countries have rich history when it comes to food. Although you can compare Our(Indian) food with Pakistani only to certain extent like the similar cuisines.. but the prep style, the ingredients, the influence of the local people plays a crucial role and it factors into shaping the cuisine. So that pretty much make them distinct and unique.

I am from Delhi, I also claim we have the best dishes especially non-veg, but same goes for Lucknowi or Hyderabadis, they also claim the same thing. I have tasted Pakistani version of Biryani also, it was scrumptious, can't say big difference but yes sabka apna apna zaika hota hai. Hyderabadi Biryani, Haleem, Nihari all date back to the Mughal empire and were served as delicacies.
    Most of the desi dishes you eat now in either India or Pakistan have the same origins and pretty much the same spices, having said that, mannn I would love to visit India one day. It would’ve been really tough for you to choose one over the other.

    Being an Indian I have some information about Biryani, In india main 4 cities have traditional Biryani 1. Hyderabad 2. Lucknow 3. Kolkata 4. Old Delhi, all of them are unique with with some changes, "Nahari" in india can be found in Lucknow which is similar to Pakistan Nahari, but it's buffalo/mutton Nahari both options are available.

    • @arindamsinha6723
      @arindamsinha6723 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@MsSaminaable Thank you for asking this question. Assam brings together a varied range of delicacies , owing to the fact that in every one mile you get to see a different ethnic group residing. However, all the communities have blended here so easily that it is difficult to differentiate between the cultures. I am a vegetarian myself, Now to assist you in finding a nice recipe , let me assume first if you are a Vegetarian - you should try having "Khar" and "Aloo Pitika" at the beginning as these are very easy to prepare and mostly savoured by anyone who resides within Assam or other corners of North East India ). The original Khar Dal is made by filtering water through sun dried banana peels and you can combine any of your favourite lentil to make it a whole thick slurry of the dal, that leaves your taste buds at ease and add a healthy meal to your nutrients intake. Then comes Aloo Pitika ( the most easy yet the most delicious of all - boiled potatoes smashed with chillies or ghost pepper , add some mustard oil for the tingling aroma, and onions, coriander sprinkled over) would leave your mouth wanting more of it. It is believed to be like a medicine when you get cold or fever. Then comes baby potatoes fried , you may check at Google for the recipe. Very easy.
      Now Assam or North East is very much vibrant in consuming meat, if you are a non vegetarian- while Assam is mostly restricted to Poultry meat - chicken, duck, pigeon. The way it is being prepared with sesame seeds I wonder if anywhere else in the world other than North East of India, you will find these recipes. For reference check the "Assam and Meghalaya" playlist covered by David in "Davidsbeenhere" TH-cam channel. You will get a detailed video of these. Assam also likes to savour Pork in ethnic way by using black sesame seeds. David has covered that too. Now the state of Assam is surrounded by many tributaries of Brahmaputra because of which the residents near these banks of rivers get the privilege of having all kinds of fish among which "Hilsa" boiled with mustard is my favourite and then Small fishes cooked with "Elephant apple fruit" you will simply love it.
      Though Beef is not served popularly so much in Assam, yet Meghalaya or Nagaland have extensive extent of serving beef in their ethnic style which is again different than rest of the world. For reference check David's video on Meghalaya.
      But all I am saying here is that, the way Sonny puts a story while he covers a geography, no one else can do it better. David's videos were more like Vlogs but Sonny's Team can give us a story for eternity and to the world. Urging Sonny to come to North East of India❤️🙏

      @aapo Sonny doesn't just focus on the food. He shows a story behind the daily lives of residents in a community, which needs to be looked at by rest of the world.
      And what's wrong in Tenga Gahori ? I am sure he will love it, ad also teelor Gahori then, hahor mankho, there is a list. And which proves that the ideal basis on which North Eastern part of India stand , they have wide range of culinary skills extremely exceptional than rest of this world.
