  • Installing a NAT-TV COD-F50 for my Sync 3 system. This will enable my side mount mirrors to come on with my turn signals. It also enables full use of all camera will driving at any speed. System also allows you to type in the navigation system will driving if you need to change your destination.
    The COD-F53 allows for addition video inputs and can be wired to your uplifter switches. I did not need the extra inputs, which is why I saved about $80 and went with the COD-F50.
    Also big a shoutout to the crew at NAV-TV. I got a defective unit, and they were on top of it. Immediate troubleshooting, and they overnighted me a replacement with a prepaid shipping label to return the defective unit. Awesome, stand up people.

    Excellent video - I used it to install the same system in my 2020 F350. I did the FORScan change after installing and testing with the turn signals. My module was aluminum not black plastic like yours, but held in with the same 3 screws and with the do not drop sticker on it. Pretty straight forward install.

    Well done video! I just installed it using your video as guidance. I would have never been able to install this without the video. The instructions they give you are no good. Thanks again!!

    According to NAV-TV, "2020+ Vehicles must have the APIM coded via Forscan or the NAV-TV OBD2 programmer." I didn't see you doing that in the video so I assume you did this install on a pre-2020 Super Duty?
    It looks like you left the power on in your truck throughout the installation - is that correct?

      This was done on a 2017 F350. There could be a tweak to 2020+. As far as the power, yes, had it on at various times as I was troubleshooting and verifying that everything was working. No reason to disconnect the battery for this install.

    Is that module behind the SYNC screen part of the power seat circuit?

      Honestly I don't know what it controls exactly. I just know it's very expensive if you damage it to replace.

    Does this allow camera views whlie the truck is moving too then?

      Yes. Full use of the camera while the truck is in motion. Love it.

    Did you have to change anything in FORScan?

    • @3rdgenworkshop
      @3rdgenworkshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For my 2017 no changes required. I believe that's true on for 2017-2019. Some people have told me for 2020 and newer there was a change needed with FORScan.

      2017 F350. Should work on any 2017-2022 Series Super Duty.
