    Nice. I've got the same kit, minus the components for trailer, and a new F350.
    We're putting a camper on the back and looking forward to regaining the part of the 360 view that we lost when I removed the tailgate.
    I'm looking at setting the camera at tailgate height, and using the Voyager Bluetooth camera that was built into the camper. This video has been very helpful.

    Thanks for the video. Helped me install my stuff. I noticed that you installed the yaw sensor and used the sticker. You only need to do one for the pro back up assist. It’s either the yaw or the sticker. Sticker takes all those measurements and the yaw is quick calibration. Just FYI

      @TheCOM I have a big question... I installed the accessory camera... I have the fifth wheel prep package and had the yaw sensor... how do they work together?? Or seems I can only use one or the other. The camera has its connection and the TPMS.. There is no way to also connect pro trailer backup sensor. An I missing something??

    Thank you the video! I have a couple questions. Why did you need to use the sticker if you installed the yaw sensor for the trailer back up assist? Do you know if this would work on a new f150? Appreciate the time.

    • @johnsnyder6646
      @johnsnyder6646 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. In the SuperDuty, I believe the Sticker is for bumper/hitch trailers, and the yaw sensor is for 5th wheel/Gooseneck trailers.

    • @TheCOM
      @TheCOM  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late reply. After further investigation the Yaw sensor is for the goose neck and 5th wheel and you only need the sticker. But I am not clear on the dash if the trailer tilt works without the Yaw sensor or not.

    I FINALLY have my truck so I'm back to your video. It's been a year now, how has the camera system held up? Did you add the TPMS system (wow that add-on is pricey!)?

    • @TheCOM
      @TheCOM  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The camera is still working and performing as it was new. I am still happy with the camera and do use it all the time. It has saved me many times from Getty out of my truck to check behind the trailer in tight situations.
      I have not added the TPMS. I do check my tire pressures monthly and do walk around the trailer before every trip.

    I've had this Ford backup camera system for about 4 years now and have loved it. I only have one issue. My trailer is a gooseneck and routing the camera wire to the back bumper is problematic. With my gooseneck I can turn the trailer to a full 90 degrees from the truck and even more. I have found it to be more maneuverable than a bumper-pull. But imagine my surprise the day I discovered I had pulled on the cable and ripped the wires out of the connecter. What a mess. I spent hundreds buying a new wire harness and having someone splice in the new connector. Do you have any suggestions for moving the camera plug into the bed of the pickup? Something that doesn't require a bunch of wire re-splicing? Great video Captin. Thx.

    • @TheCOM
      @TheCOM  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My truck came with a wire hook up in the bed and on the bumper. The bumper I had to replace like on the video but the in bed one is ready to go for a 5th wheel. It is located drivers side just behind the tailgate. Mine is a 2022 lariat

    I just bought a 2022 xlt which has the knob for the pro trailer back up assist. Does this kit come standard? Wondering if I need to contact the dealership

    • @TheCOM
      @TheCOM  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had to pay extra for my camera kit. The pro backup assist I think is an option you can pay for when building the truck. Sounds like you have that option on your truck if you have the knob.

  • @edandrade4002
    @edandrade4002 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I believe the yaw sensor is only for 5th wheel/goose neck trailers. For a bumper pull like yours you only need the sticker. I want to know how you got the yaw sensor with your truck and package though as I ordered my '22 F350 with all those options and all I got was the stickers and after a lot of back and forth with the dealer they said the yaw sensor was an extra purchase! Jury is still out whether I will order it and install it. I am more interested in getting the trailer backup camera and TPMS systems setup on my camper.

    • @TheCOM
      @TheCOM  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe you are correct after some more research. The Yaw sensor seams to be for goosenecks and 5th wheels. My truck came with the Yaw sensor in the back seat with my camera package. I am not sure why you didn't get it. Some of the dealers can be dirty. Thanks for the comment.

    • @TheCOM

      Yes. I can turn the video on while I am driving. I just hit the camera button on the dash then the three line hamburger menu then select the Aux camera.

    I have a 2021 F350 I have the camera set up already from the factory I just want to install the TPMS do I just install them in the tire or is there extra wiring harness that I have to use I got a couple boxes of stuff from when I bought the truck they almost look like duplicates

    • @TheCOM
      @TheCOM  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to install the TPMS sensors in the tires and run the harness like I did (see minute 9:21 where I left the connector if I ever purchase the TPMS modual) . There should be a connector or box that the connector connects into that will read the TPMS sensors and relay it down the wire to the truck.

      2. The connector for the yaw sensor
