    Excellent footage of the beautiful rock formations. Using this as we plan to go explore this area in the next few weeks.

    Yes, the sunrise is the way to start things off. Great video and review of the valley. Horse picture for $10, wow. Thanks for sharing and take care.

      thank you! The horse picture can be a great personal souvenir/memory! And it my favorite overlook in Monument Valley!

    I did 'Monument' twice, first in 1984 when I hit the place in the middle of a 2 day-long rainstorm, but came back in 1987 when it was bright and sunny. I took the Navajo open back bus tour and am glad I did. The road was really primitive back then and I didn't feel like taking my van on it. The Navajo tour guides also brought us to some places off the beaten path and we got the scenic point horse shot for no additional cost.

      Sounds like it hasn't change much over the years!

    I was there May 2023 and at the same time it was very beautiful and yet somehow disappointing. Traffic was ever-present and orange cones on the drive clashed with the natural beauty. Just 25 miles to the north was Valley Of The Gods. The near equivalent of Monument Valley and no traffic, no commercialization, very few people camping and blooming desert flowers abounded. I camped 5 days above the VOTG on Muley Point. All free of charge. I'd love to go back. Next time Monument Valley will be the side trip. Anywhere in southern Utah is worth the visit!!

      I dont seem to remember traffic cones. However, I only had one day in Monument Valley but next time I would like to spend a couple days and definitely go to Valley of the Gods!

      Is the drive suitable for a Harley?

    • @MovingToAdventure
      @MovingToAdventure  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@markparadis5167that’s a tough one. I’ve never driven a motorcycle but if you okay driving it on a dirt road, I’m sure it would be fine. It might be easier to avoid the pot holes on a bike.

      You know what, you are right! Thanks for the correction. Stagecoach was just filmed in Monument Valley but not with the cabin.

    HOT TAKE: Monument Valley is incredibly overrated compared to the lesser known Shiprock, New Mexico ‼

    • @MovingToAdventure
      @MovingToAdventure  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Shiprock may be underrated, but Monument Valley is so iconic in the American Southwest. Both are beautiful and amazing places
