I agree with everything you said / did in this video. Was there in November 2019. After arriving in Phoenix, we made it to Flagstaff for the night, then headed to Monument Valley, Goosenecks, Mexican Hat, Valley of the Gods, Natural Bridges, then back north to Capital Reef, Escalante, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Marble Canyon, Grand Canyon then back to Phoenix just before they shut down the roads. It's all incredible!

Wow, that was an incredible trip! Lots of wonderful sights. If you had to pick one, which would be your favorite?

      @@JourneytoAllNationalParks Monument Valley
      Bryce Canyon
      Garden of the Gods
It was all incredibly beautiful. The 3 listed were all so massive and not as heavily touristed.
MV will always occupy my soul.

@@joemanpjg I know! Only so much time and way too much to explore. I’ve been wanting to go back and had plans for Lake Powell & Marble Canyon this past October 2023. But my dates coincided with the eclipse and too many people everywhere then. I did manage to catch the eclipse from 4 corners area though. Best rest stop adventure ever!
      Have a good one!

Picture Monument Valley just like this except with cars, several open air tourist wagons, orange traffic cones and a gift shop. Now picture Valley of the Gods with none of that. I was at both places last May (2023). Still both are well worth the visit!

Exactly! MV is much more commercial. VOTG has zero commerciality. Still, MV is much less commercial than Antelope Canyon

I visited both of these locations about 10 days ago. The scenery was a 10. the roads were a 1. Just awful roads. VOTG roads were slightly better than MV but both were bad. We traveled in a somewhat high clearance truck and still bottomed out a few times. I would not drive either one in a car -- unless it was a rental. 🙂

I took my 21 year old Honda Accord sedan through both places in May 2023 (VOTG 3 times) and up and down the Moki Dugway several times. Camped on Muley Point 4 nights. Never had a problem.

We took the tour at MV because we didn't want to drive it. It was bumpy! We had a 4x4 rental so VOTG was tolerable. We saw some RVs camped out at VOTG and wondered how they got those RVs there without bottoming out. It's a magnificent place to camp in a RV. We would have done it if we had an RV.

I drove a Subaru Legacy with no issues. Just don't go banging through the worst dips, especially on the south end of the loop, weave where you need to. Not a big deal.

I went MV and VOTG in August 2024. I drove a small SUV and saw sedans driving on the road. We never had a problem, no big deal

One is free , the other costs money. I prefer 'free' .

Which one do you think is more scenic?

When the one that costs money is only a few $$$ then do both!
