Wired version is 101g. I doubt it's possible to go much lighter than that with this shape, size and feature set. The only true competition is Logitech G502 and that is even heavier.
@@leduyquang753 you are right, I had no idea that X versions were lighter than previous ones, Razer definitely needs to catch up then. I still prefer V3 wired because I like RGB but G502 X seems to be very good otherwise.
the smart scroll is by far my favorite feature on this mouse..... ive been using the g502 for a long time..... and decided to try this razer out.... and flicking the scrool wheel and it unlocks and free spins is soooo good..... then stop it and its back to tactile..... yes the g502 can do it with the click of a button..... but having it on an auto is amazing....... this is now my new mouse moving forward... i would love to see razer adopt the ability to add and remove weights from the bottem of the mouse like the g502..... but that is honestly the only feature i miss from the old mouse.... and this is close enough to what i had my g502 at weight wise that it isnt a big miss for me..... plus the free scroll makes this a 100% no brainer for me as someone that scrolls a lot
I just bought a basilisk v3 hyperspeed. I use the mouse for work and AAA games, definitely not for FPS game, but the price and built quality is much better than my old wired G502.
Why is razer after years and years still have the same (not like an issue) but more like a feature here, that their RGB setting only can be saved when Synapse running on the background. Is it just me or anyone else experience the same thing? I habe Basilisk V3 Pro white and my RGB set only work when I turn on the Synapse
Keychron M7 is a similar shape and button layout, but it's about half the weight and $55. Not quite as robust in specs, but it still has a 3395 sensor. I have loved using it for the last month.
I love the mouse in white but that white rubber goes yellow real fast, no matter how much you clean your hands. Best advice is BT.L grip tape. I feel that also helps you grip the mouse too.
Thanks for the video. I had this mouse, and LOVED it, but it died on me two weeks in. I then, returned it to Amazon, in the HOPES that I would get a good one, and sure enough, within 1 week, the second one had died! Perhaps I just had really bad luck :(. Man, I wanted to love it though, the feel and function was perfect for me.
Im sticking with regular wired V3 which is my main productivity mouse - I like it way more than the G502X even. Only bummer is that it took me so many tries to get a copy without any QC issues so I’d rather not play that lotto again.
Contrary to most, I love heavy big mice though I have a rather small hand, and yet I hardly touch it, mostly with tip fingers. But as for Basilisk, my hand naturally wraps it and it still feels comfortable. I like this mouse and the smart wheel is not only a helpfull feature but also fun to play with like a fidgety toy lol.
We really, really need either this or the G502 in a lighter model. I love the shape to death and it's why I'm using the G502X, but man even that one is just a little too heavy.
I really want to buy this mouse to replace my Viper V2 Pro. I have owned it for almost 2 years and the battery life is not great when I use it at higher polling rates. This mouse should have better battery life and sensor and I can just keep on using my Hyperpolling adapter with it. Viper V2 Pro claimed to offer up to 80 hours at 1000hz which they changed to 90 hours for some reason while the new Basilisk can give up to 140 hours which is a massive difference and when adding the degradation of the battery over 2 years of use I think I can almost double the time between recharging. The biggest negative is the increase in weight.
I hope they release a wired version with this new sensor and gen 3 switches or at least update the software so that we can select the smart reel sensitivity on the current wired version.
When we put this mouse in bluetooth pairing mode, does only the razer logo blink or the scroll wheel blinks as well, beach in the manual it's mentioned that both blinks but in my unit only the razer logo blinks
I tested the Cobra pro and the problem was that the weight was all centered around the middle of the mouse. I tried the Basilisk 3 Wired and it didn't have that problem. This is a big problem with the Cobra/Basilisk Pro.
They should have moved the sniper button toward the rear - the older version has been great for me. But I never use the sniper button, it is too far forward.
@@leduyquang753 I tried the basilisk v2 and it felt a lot different to hold than the g502 lightspeed, and i love my g502 lightspeed. I would like the same feel, but the basilisk v2 didn't deliver the feel i want. Looks like the v3 is the exact same feeling than the v2.
I don't think this is enough to upgrade if u already have a bask v3 wireless, which I do. Does everything I need it to. Up to 8k polling rate, hypershify, sniper button, magnetic qi charge puck. This seems almost a bad an upgrade as the black widow v4 75 pro, tbh.
Please do a test with all mice you have, happen that I discovered that all razer mouse and maybe all mouse are a totally cr... if you try to do micro movements you will see that the mouse sucks try to do the same with any laptop touch pad and you will be able to do it, but with mouses they dont have enought resolution to do those micro movement and make it feel responsive they will litteraly suck at it, so Im hoping maybe the vyper v3 pro with that glass pad can archive that or maybe another brand. Basically you should notice that you move the mouse and the arrow doent follow and then it jumps while doing those micro movements thats the best way to test mice and that belive it or not affect the overall performance because when you are reaching a button or aiming you need to start lowing down and land in a position. The test consist on doing a 1mm circle very slow and check if the mouse is responsive enought and feels smooth
All my Logitech mouse and keyboard had switch issues. Never buy Logitech. They will go to shit. My mouse was pro mouse and keyboard was G915. All high end products with shitty qualities.
absolutely irrelevant for anybody that is somewhat seriously playing fps games. even if the weight would be better, the thumb rest is the natural enemy of great aim... but even for casual games I find this to be veeery heavy.
The problem is that the weight is concetrated in the middle of the mouse, near the sensor. I had an easier time manouvering the Basilisk V3 Wired with it's 100 grams than the Cobra pro with 70 grams or whatever. The weight is all in one place.
I wonder if they will release a lighter basilisk. I love the shape but its hefty

Well you’re missing the infinity scrollwheel which is top productivity feature.
