    Lego's pricing doesn't make sense any more. There's no reason this should cost more than $25USD.

      Especially when i see next year sets which the pricing is getting worse

      They are always making city 30% more in US for no reason. Also lego moved in the direction of nonsensical base price, so they can make set discounted, yet in reality it is still over the Old lego price. And people still pays this crap. If the stuff sells, than they can increase price until it won't...

      Lego city prices in US actually make TONS of sense. Havent you noticed most of these gets on sale VERY fast? Thats Marketing tactics.

    As commented on brickset - I think this should’ve been octan themed. Would’ve made the set much more appealing than this generic one.

      Yeah but Octan is supposed to be oil/gas company, and Lego is trying to "go green" with their lego city sets

    They could've added two vertical bars with blue flame pieces representing jets of water that swing out of the way. I really like the sign with the bubbles, though.

    This is the sorta thing I’d get for my niece’s town if it were like $15, but at $33 that’s a no-go. It’s weird that City is so expensive to me, I got two Creator 3-in-1s from like 5 years ago bundled for the same price and that was over 1000 pieces altogether.

    33 USD? Blimey! It sells for 14 Euros in germany in many stores and online. And at that price it is good value, even though there aren't particulary interesting pieces in it. As aways: lovely review Jang.

    I love the soap bubble detail on the sign. I kinda wish that they added opening doors to the vehicle if they're opting for the classic build design.

    I do like the brush parts. That car looks old school Lego in a good way

  • @3Dsjk
    @3Dsjk 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

    The price may have been justifiable if Lego added two or three more large windows on each side, so it was deep enough to fit a car completely inside. I know not every building needs to be completely enclosed like the expensive modular buildings, but shallow interiors on sets like this no longer cut it.

      Some sets are just way more expensive in either EU or NA for seemingly no reason. I'm sure they have a reason backed up by their statistics, but we can only guess.

  • @DrNA142
    @DrNA142 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    To be honest, it looks a little anemic to me. I think a full 16x16 road plate should've been the base of the build, and the build should've been at least 2 studs deeper, the side build should definitely have had a short studded rope with an grappling hook handle for whatever it's supposed to represent, and a few more accessories wouldn't hurt, like a trash can and shovel......
    All in all, it's clearly lacking due to budget cuts, and sadly, i don't think it's fun enough as is.

    It is so sad they always skip the doors of cars :(
    Would it have been really that much more expensive for them to use those oldschool 3 (?) long doors on the side?

    This has been out in Europe for a while, so I have bought and built it for my city. Wht I dislike the most is that the side brushes was very static, but seems like you got them to flex a little more so maybe I just stuck the pins in to deep or something. lso it is like you say quite expensive for what you actually get. But I liked that it was so few stickers, and I am sure I can add it in to a MOC of a service station or something in the future.

  • @viperson9818

    That price is absurd. Either LEGO is having issues like shipping from the factory went up or they’re blatantly pricing out the US markets.

    Gotta love car washes in LEGO form, or for die-cast cars. This one isn't bad, though I wish it were longer.
    True it doesn't have a water spray, but I'm not sure how that would've been done.
    33 for that?! That should be more like $20-25. Yes, wait for a sale!

    Every car wash I've been through you come out the front. If it was a bit nicer it might have a place amoung my modulars. The creator 3-1 buildings are all very nice, they're just smaller. This doesn't really scratch the itch for me.

    That's actually kinda funny how this super tiny car can seat two figures while a lot of other massively larger and super extravagant vehicles from other themes can only seat one, or no more than two.
    What a weird US price, $33, and definitely too high; crazy how much lower it is in Europe and UK.

  • @betulaobscura
    @betulaobscura 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I think too many commenting people got used to cheap, overseas labour of mass produced low quality items. LEGO is one of companies who offer high quality products, pays well their employees and offers them proper working conditions. Plus: many more other aspects like environmental, social etc. That's why final prices of their products are appropriate to their philosophy. Take it or leave it.
