I can’t get my head around this being $60, that is absolutely insane
Yeah....
Ive realized that if i want a good deal for residential buildings the creator line is a whole lot better. I'll still probably cave and get the new city sets though since im a sucker for this new wave lol
The fact that this is the same price as the creator 3 in 1 cozy house we just got this year is just ridiculous.
it should be 40 or 50
Really? This seems exactly like a $60 set, even in pre-2022 prices
Go look up what the equivalent family houses since the 80s have cost. That it's still just 60 bucks after 40 years of inflation is the true insanity.
I miss the late 2000s early 2010s creator houses as well as city sets. Something about them combines the simple brick built sets of early lego with the somewhat modern building style of today that feels so satisfying to look at.
I understand the size limitations but it would be nice to fit the whole family in the family car that came with the family house.
I like how this family and their house is environmentally friendly, since the house has a green house, a electric car and solar panels. I love your videos, keep up the good work 👍
This looks really great, and reminds me of set 6374 (Holiday Home) from 1983.I have that old set since I was a kid, and always loved it. This looks like a great modern version of it.
Maybe the room with the shower is supposed to be a "wet room"?
My nitpick is with the connector for the road plate overlapping the grass.
A nice little set!
It’s looks like a really nice Lego set
First time I see a City set with all rooms required for the minifigs to live in, little me would've wanted 20 of these, definitely a buy if it gets 10% cheaper even better
This set reminds me of the creator 3 in 1 Cozy House, which don't have the car, the dog and the modularity, but has 2 awesome alternate builds, a more inspired color scheme, more pieces, can be closed and it's in the same price range. It feels like a way better deal to me, to be honest
you are my favourite lego youtuber
I love this modular thing that is going on, although these houses still seem only facades to me (yeah, I know, there are worse sets, this is kind of nice). Not in this case, but sometimes we can only guess the suggested function of a "room" by a small piece or a sticker.
It's great to see a throwback to the Classic Town sets, with a modern take. The old ones all had BBQs, outdoor seating and mailboxes, so it's a bit sad to see the outdoor area is either path/driveway or off-plate with the football. But overall, I love this. Edit: just realized the conservatory has one open wall to the side, so I guess that's semi-outdoor. Kind of.
5:50 yes, yeeesss! THAT is the kind of modularity we want! We've seen that in the very recent Friends-tower as well, which then connects beautifully to the communal kitchen. That is fantastic! Make EVERYTHING modular, all the modules, forever! I wonder if these modules could even interconnect with the Friends-modules?
(Basically - "Blacktron Was Right", and I kind of want that on a T-shirt)
This set is pretty cute. I love the greenhouse, and the kitchen is a great use of the limited space, but I feel the roof is a bit too simple. I think the design for the front lacks depth.
Lovely set. I’m a sucker for a residential building w/ greenery, this is kinda perfect 😍 except for the price 🥲 Thanks for the review!
I wish I had this stuff when I was growing up with lego. I loved the civilian city sets but my hayday for lego was around 2005 to 2012 and I don't remember sets being that cool when I was growing up. This makes me nostalgiac in all the right ways though!
fantastic review. will never stop watching these over any other lego youtuber
I miss the days when they made 'proper' houses like 5771 Hillside house that you could customise and fill out with other bits, now we only ever seen to get facades which look cool but lack realism
I like how they have all the essentials in this set! (Like the bathroom and space for all the figures to sleep.
The fact that we see minifigs in city sets seeming to age by decades between sets released mere years apart implies that minifigs age faster than humans, at a rate more comparable to a large dog.
Note to architects; don't put a big window right next to the shower that looks out into the greenhouse. lol.
Amazing review once again! I love the OG jang background music so much man
Awesome review! I love that set 🤩
Everybody in Lego City has to cram into this one house! Park your cars on the side of the road; we’ve only got room for one car in the garage!
Adding this to my list, mostly for those minifigs, but also because a house or two would be nice for my city. Wonder how easy it would be to double this up and make something a little more reasonable, size-wise. Also wonder if this could connect to the new Apartment building set.
I like that the gaming truck's game has fans in other sets and exists throughout the larger Lego City universe.
Once again - I ADRE this 8x16 system so much. I REALLY hope Lego will continue for a LONG time. It's really very well thought system
I really appreciate the modular system-within-a-system that LEGO is using for some of these CITY and Friends sets. I just hope that they continue this trend, including with any future fire and police stations. How cool would it be to stack an apartment on top of a jail cell?
I like the modular arrangements. This would be a great set to sell as two separate smaller sets. Make the car and garage a $20-$25 dollar set and the main house a $35-$45 set. You could make a bunch of little $10-$15 modules to make a bunch of addirions
Jang, given your work history, you may have a bit of knowledge regarding printing. If we are on the same page, LEGO may not always run a "second strike" of white when they are printing over color. They are cutting corners and and only printing one pass.
Greatly appreciate this review :D thanks Jang!
lego should really make more houses. the recent creator cozy house and this one have knocked it out of the park
I love this set, probably one of my favorite new 2023 sets…but wish the price was better. Thanks for a great review Jang!
My nitpick would be the offset that exists in this set with the flowerbed. It gives the set +2 studs. Which means you need to put an extra 8x8 plate of road to get the house flush to the street. That is if you want it along the road with the current road system. Again you need to invest with a set to get this to work. I got similar issues with the apartment building where you got that bike road plate. And sure you get the connection tiles. But where are you supposed to connect it? Since the bike lanes in all sets are inset 2 studs from the road.
Nice house love the green house great review
I love that they are designing their sets these days with the mindset of the buyers being able to link up separate sets to easily build up a large city for themselves.
This looks really good with the other road plate sets
I like your review. The charger in the carport is nice. For $60 I find it underwhelming. Should be $39. at most. Not much playability.
2:20 It's one of these Dutch tomato plants! Big like melons, 120% water!
Finally a home within my budget haha
I sort of wonder what this would look like if you mirror build a second one and stick the main parts back to back. May have to try that in digital lego. :)
Beautiful house set! I love all the greenery, the overall colour scheme and interior details with some new pieces in my collection❤ And I'm super happy to have those countryside like buildings back in City series instead of square town buildings like police station, fire station, etc
Agreed it's overpriced, but I got it brand new for 28$ just a few days ago, so I believe it's a good deal for this set😊
Keep up the good work, JANG!✊
Apart from the price, my only criticism is that the roof should have a little bit of overhang to the front - one stud, or why not a half? Otherwise, a pretty set that's on my getlist.
Okay the interior is really cute
I like the design of this. Itd be cool if they super sized it as a modular building
This is a great set! More please :-)
I remember watching your Channel when i was a kid...😭💔
Got this for 40€, i still think it's too much, i agree with everything you said + i think the car port should have been a bit wider
I know this isn’t possible but I have a vivid memory of you reviewing this exact set before. Strange times
That is a nice little house. It gives me some classic town vibes, especially the kitchen. Odd how the stove hangs over, though. I would definitely modify that.
$60 is high! This seems more like $40 to me! $50 is pushing it!
As soon as I saw that kid with the dinosaur shirt, I was in.
The stickers on the fridge remind me of the Seinfeld set.
The color of the car is amazing. Looks really good for such a boring, repeated car design.
Great review! I wish Lego would put staircases and back walls on these if they are going to price them on the high end. At least put a nice sink in the loo, Lego. Also, the car seems underbuilt. No opening doors?
I am a bit excited to see the ice cream shop and apartment reviewed.
I wish they would connect floors via stairs so adults like me with zero moc experience can have an easier time. Idk how difficult moc is for a first timer to adjust all these sets for city realism.
I had no idea this existed, I got the creator 3 in 1 house and that was also $60.
The modular system is such a good idea. I love the idea of being able to create your own building house etc. Think it really makes me wanna get more of them. Price point aside, the set itself is wonderful. Great review as per the usual from our boy Jang.
The set does look really nice. But the other side of the plentiful windows is it makes it obvious how small it is
I wonder if that's the same game that's being played in the black and green game tourney truck.
Nice looking set, but the building is too shallow for the price. It needs to be 4 to 8 studs deeper, just to keep up with the standards set by the enclosed modular buildings.
Great set, I wish there was more access and walls in the house
The father minifigure is great
This set should be cheaper
cant believe this is retiring this year
nice 👍
Adding those tiles is nice of them. I hate that the Lego Mario sets were missing extra plates to connect several sets or create your own paths. It's just plates, they don't cost much to add
In México it is $1499 pesos ($88 USD)!!!
This things are made in Monterrey.
Set should come with a Firetruck, when the electric car burns the house down.
I like your videos
I wonder if that's a compact style bathroom like seen in European or Asian countries where the toilet/shower is all one shared space
That looks great. The Electric car looks like a Hyundai Ioniq 5.
No need to differ between regions - here in Europe a lot of prints match the low quality you received
3:20 what is that spiral-shaped thing on the fridge supposed to be?
$70 AUD here in Australia, equivalent to about $45 USD!!!
60 smackeroons for half of a house is crazy
Nice house
Thejang is his channel on twitch
7:46 what is that on the kids hear a bluetooth headset?
I like the lego common buildings they have been putting out lately.
For too long Lego city has been just police, fire and Hospital with things like a harbor, very industrial but very few sets that make a city or a suburban area.
yep.
Shoutout to Jang for calling it football 1:12
I agree this should be $50 USD tops, and why no soccer ball print? I thought LEGO has that print...
Needs more solar panels ;)
The official price here that Lego sells this for is $85, which is overpriced, but everywhere else sells it for AT MOST $70 AUD, so I actually think it's fair value, especially since it has a lot of new pieces in this that I have never seen before (the windowed atrium, the fridge). All Lego needs to do now it meet the price of their competitors.
There is printing on the side of the child's head. It wasn't shown properly or mentioned in the review. Is it a hearing aid? Gaming earpiece? Great review otherwise, and that puppy is super cute.
As a clumsy person, amongst other things, the placement of that stove disturbs me.
How ironic that a family with a nice house and electric car have an empty fridge 🤣
Those is red pumpkins
You’ve talked about the Lego city tax before, but this house feels largely incomplete to me. It should really have been longer in back. No sink. No stairway. I don’t mind the open back but it needed to be longer. The dinner table being in the hot as heck green house? C’mon. I would have accepted like 4 sets two backs at $35 each to customize but this as a house set even for kids? Lack luster
these new civilian home sets are nice
Even Lego can design a better looking car than Tesla.
One, yes way too expensive. Two, yes still all too rare of a type of set for Lego City and kinda necessary for actually having a cityscape or just a more stand alone build in a non professional layout that kids will realistically have. Three, love how the Modular system of buildings has only continued to increase and expand over the years across multiple series. And four, PUBBY PUBBY PUBBY, BABY GUD BOI, SCHMOL DOGGO, PUPPER, PUPPO, BEHBEH DOGI, WIDDLE BABY FLOOOOOF!
So therefore yeah, 7.5/10. Too much price hike.😅💕🐕
You heard it here folks, Jang said tomatos are fruits. Debate over 🍅
$60??? This looks like a $30 set, maybe I'm just getting old but that's outrageously priced. Wow. Looks good though.
The only house i can afford.
Just picked this up with a third off, but I'm a little disappointed. The build uses a lot of large specialised parts and every single transparent piece has multiple scratches. The final build does look nice though.
Looks good but the creator version is much better value
That stovetop build is really sloppy looking. I wish they had given it a more even base.
$60 feels a bit steep for this. Great set though.
Aremt all lego cars technically electric cars...
Or am i breaking a 4th wall here
