      Same here,I've been watching his videos for decades and he really helped me decide if a set was worth it's price or not. I've skipped some sets because it's price wasn't justified for what you got and what you could do with it. ✌️👍

    I don't know why the idea of putting a "don't shoot at people" warning on the forklift is so funny to me.

    This set feels almost designed to be sold for $75 at Costco. The employee uniform at Costco is a red vest. Idk about the Lego city economy but .2 for a hotdog seems cheap, and Costco is famous for their cheap hotdogs. With the Costco semi exclusivity and the references in the set, it seems like Lego knew a lot of these were gonna be on sale at Costco and bumped up the price a little bit

    You have to admire this truck for its sheer ability as a toy. Every part of this BEGS to be played with; a cab able to fit multiple figures, a sturdy trailer just made to hold tons of stuff and the execution is immaculate. It is sturdy and made to be used in Kid's imaginations. Amazing toy.

    I know it wouldn't have been as flashy and recognizable but I wish the printed pieces on the pallets were the shipping boxes that the sets arrive to the store in, instead of loose set boxes just floating around. Those are NOT going to stay stacked up nicely after a long truck ride.

    A REALLY nice LEGO semi-truck cab and trailer here. I really like the design of the truck and the fact it has full sleeper accommodations. Many classic sets didn't have room for this inside, so you had to imagine it.
    The prints included are great.
    $100 does still feel like a big ask, even given all this. We do have a Costco near us and we've got a Costco membership in the family. I might consider picking this up sometime down the road. I hope Costco will be carrying it for the longterm.
    And well, maybe this set would be more worth it, if it included a coffee mug in the cab. 😉

    My biggest issue with this set is the modern lego truck just doesn’t make of a toy as the classic pure yellow one does. Oh and also the complete lack of enough sets to make the truck full or give the illusion that it’s full. That sucks too.

  • @sonicguyver7445
    @sonicguyver7445 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

    For the sleeper build, all you need to do is put the pillow piece over on the driver's side. All the trucks I have driven in all have been set up so that all the controls for the sleeper bunk are behind the driver's seat. Plus the Freightliners I have driven all have the TV set up behind the passenger side as well. So just a minor piece adjustment back there and it's suddenly 100% real world accurate. Heck, the Cascadia I'm using now has an arm that you can attach a small flatscreen TV to on the passenger side so you can swing it closer to you while you watch and then up against the side so it's out of the way when you aren't watching.

    I am not a huge city fan (although I've been buying more and more lately - good prints, animals, the exploring, space and so on are related to city now) but this set is a masterclass of what a set needs to be. The fact that it has so many prints (and big ones) and the price isn't ridiculously high shows that LEGO can do them right. even if it's been $10-$20 more just because of the prints, it's still a a good tradeoff for such lovely prints (quality not withstanding - I didn't see them live yet, so I will have to take it as you said it).
    This is how every lego set should be treated regarding the prints. I would have loved to have the 3 stickers as prints as well (might as well - they are all usable) but I can understand not wanting to use a print for a sign or a TV. The major features of the set though are prints, and they need to implement this in everything else as well. Especially castle
    I am still harping on how the shop signs and the letters should have been prints at least - but seeing how much they printed here, I think they could have printed everything else as well - and added an extra $10 on that price. Stickers are just a mess to put on and degrade over time. prints, unless you play really well with it won't and it will keep the set beautiful for a long long time.
    I am also quite happy with your reviews, I see a lot of people mention that your reviews are more sincere (since you're not getting them for free). These reviews never steered me wrong.

    Great review! Thanks for going over all of the features and pros/cons. Glad to hear there are so many printed pieces. Have to agree on the value not being there at retail price (feels like the Toys R Us 10% tax is in play with the current lineup). • @bertbergers9171
    @bertbergers9171 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Thank you for the review JANG, i feel like the truck should be 80/90% size wise, for play in City. For display this set seems great, only when you showed your desing flaw opinions i got aware of the front of the nose, which indeed makes that view a lot less appetizing to put into display.
    And to me as a non-American i would happily believe that high nose to be in style and be in ratio to the amount of visible/usable windscreen for a US sleeper cab truck, so i had no nitpick there.
    I think the price could be standard at €90 as is and when for city and play designed it should be max €80.
    I at first thought this set would be Lego exclusive so i wasn't too happy with the €100,- (however there are lots of sets that i feel are a lot worse overpriced). But then it showed up at a local retailer where it would be free after spending €600 in the next couple of months, and it is also available there. (spend €150 and get a €20,- off coupon per purchase above €100,-)
    So i think i will be able to buy this one for roundabout €75-80 after discount somewhere.

    The question of value is ‘is it worth more than double than the original and would you rather buy the original?’

    This set is a tough one; almost everything is good. But its standard retail price does indeed feel steep, and this is exclusive to one shop in the UK which will very rarely offer anything better than a 20% discount, which is already very uncommon to begin with and really doesn't help this set. And it'll have to compete with a lot of other sets in the same price range which offer even better value and are much more frequently and more heavily discounted. 25% off, like what's taken place in Costco US, is a much better price that I wished this retailed at around £70 for the UK.

    My only complaint with this set is I’m not a fan of the blue headlights.

    I thought the two figs with red torsos were costco workers with the hot dogs like costco is known for right?

    The one thing I don't get is it being 8 stud wide, in the context of their 'new' road plates having 8 stud lanes. How is this supposed to fit with oncoming traffic? The baseplate ones had close to 10 stud wide lanes, so it would fit nicely in that world...

    I believe I purchased that 2010 Lego truck at Toys r Us for $50 plus there was a Toys r Us special blue and white for $50 as well, and I thought that was rather a steep price for either one at the time. I'm not sure what your thoughts would be on 5 and 7 wide wind screens for vehicles.
