In this video, we review the latest LEGO Recycling Truck set which came out in the Winter 2023 wave. I picked up the set at a 20% discount which made for an excellent value. (normally $30, bought for $24 US) The 60386 has 261 pieces, 3 minifigures, and offers ample play value for younger builders as well as display value for more mature builders.
The design is incredibly similar to predecessor 4432 from 2012; some parts of this set are identical to it. In turn, this gives the vibe of being part of a city vehicle fleet which is great for collectors and diorama builders alike. Unlike two relevant predecessors, it also comes with a mini-disposal station, giving this set more to offer for CIty builders of all ages.
As a treat, I managed to salvage the 4432 and 7991, which were previous renditions that I've bought and collected over the year. We show a side by side of all three vehicles and point out the development over a span of 17 short years.

I didn’t realize how close the 2012 version was to the new one so I actually ordered it last night. I don’t know why I kept pushing it off :P

@@OregonBuildingRailfan Ah! Likely the same design team was on it, or they felt very comfortable with the look it had that they decided to use it on the current version.

@@vicecitybuilder or it is LEGO hinting the the same model and manufacturer but the “newer one”. Like the 2012 Toyota Prius and the 2023 Prius. It would be cool if that was the idea since IRL that’s whats happening.
