I love the way you combine 4 weight skeins to make thicker cords. I think the bags are great. Can't wait for the tutorial because I am more a visual learner 🙂
I really really want to make these! I just started crochet last year. I'm a knitter, but I like all the bags and baskets I see crochet patterns for. So, I decided to learn.
What a great tutorial on not only making a useful bag, but on how to handle multiple strands of yarn at one time. I also enjoyed what you mentioned in your other video about how to gradient the color to go from pink to blue by introducing the blue color while still using less of the pink color until you eventually eliminate the pink.
I may regret it, but I plan to try to make these. I'm a newbie crocheter. I've been knitting for years but I love all the crocheted bags and baskets I see. So I'm learning to crochet just so I can make all these bags and baskets.
I learned about that style of bag from Jayda and they can’t be beat for use in hundreds of ways and I have a daughter who loves them as gifts . Keep on stitching’ - waves from Alaska 👋🏼👋🏼♥️♥️♥️♥️
I have been crocheting for years, so your instructions were very easy to understand. My largest crochet hook is a Q (15.75 mm), so when I finish a #scraptasticmovingbags, I will include how many strands I held together in my post.
Years ago I made a mat for my grand daughter. I think I used 3 yarns held together. Using front and back post dc. Mat was heavy but very comfortable to lay on (and yes it was big enough for me to lay on. I'm 5'1".) So squishy to walk on also. Just a thought for stash busting and making something fun for Emmers.
I can't thank you enough for this video! I've been sorting out my yarn and there are quite a few skeins I don't have any projects for. I have made one bag in the past and loved it! I should have kept going. Thanks for the inspiration!!
I rate your explanation a 9 . You did very good in explaining. I just didn’t get where to decrease. I will look at this video again and I’ll probably figure it out. Love right back to you
I love the idea of the moving bags, your explanation is very clear!! I don't have an 18 mm hook, but I can use less stands with a 12mm. Thank you for the idea, I have some old ugly yarns that I really can't make anything with, I'll make it and send you a picture. Have fun and enjoy the move!!! Thank you!👍👍👍👍
Just found your channel! I’m new to crochet for about a year… taught myself on you tube… love the scrappy yarn types of crochet videos… I’m a visual learner as well… so I look forward to your tutorial… I would love a big crossbody bag with the scrappy yarn! Your bags are fantastic… going to go ck out all your other videos… :)
I definitely want to make these bags. It has been a very long time since I have crocheted. I have no clue if I have any yarn left. I cannot find my hooks yet. Hopefully they are in a tub somewhere. One of your videos said you made a bag from straps of sheets. I would love to know how the strips were done so that you could crochet with them. I definitely would need instructions to follow. Thank you for sharing the information for the bags.
Its funny, I don't have much scrap yarn, BUT I have a crap ton of yarn I only keep to make granny squares out of someday. I think I shall use it to make a bag, thanks for a great easy to follow video! You get a 9 from me!!!
I am just learning how to crochet. Don’t know if I could handle a bag, but would you consider selling any after your move? They are gorgeous and would be wonderful for WIPs.
I have to make these I'm doing a craft rm of my own omg these bags are amazing. Scraptastic moving bag I love it 😀lol Ur rm is going to be fantastic...
Would you ever mix an acrylic, yarn, and a cotton yarn while making these bags? I’m fairly new to crocheting, and I have cotton to make one of these these bags, but I thought I might mix acrylic with it. I wasn’t sure if that would work out?
I'm excited I can't afford ice yarn so getting a ball band's is 1 of the holy grails in my opinion. Yes I'm excited over ball band's. I love you good luck on your moving I am praying for you and your family. 💋💋💜💜🐶stay safe and huge hugs my dear friend
It's mosaic crochet, I saw the video browsing yesterday but it won't show for me again today to put the link in here for you! Go figure. Lol But it is there somewhere under her channel. Xoxo
I’m thinking that I really love this impromptu tutorial ❤️ It’s like sitting with my friend Ginger and she’s explaining to me personally how to make scraptastic baskets. After the move are the basket going to remain full ? Like art pieces in your new space?
Oh wow this got me to sub. LOL These are exactly on time for me . I was getting ready to buy project bags on etsy to store all these scraps in. This is one of my absolute fav projects this year ! Thank you!
JUST DISCOVERED YOUR CHANNEL. SO VERY HAPPY I DID! BTW, I LOVE THE NAME OF YOUR BAGS…SCRAPTISTICS. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL TUTORIALS ABOUT SCRAP YARN TOTES BUT, THIS DESIGN IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, ESPECIALLY THE SIX DIFFERENT STRAINS OF YARN. CAN’T WAIT TO GET STARTED. THANK YOU!!!!
Thanks for this Ginger. I totally could follow along with you so you get a 10 from me! Now I want to find my yarn (remember I'm in the midst of moving too but I have no where to go and almost everything is in storage!) and make one! Is it cheating to go to Walmart and get a bunch of Mainstay and try it? LOL My thoughts are with you girl and can't wait to see all the moving videos!!!
I love the way you combine 4 weight skeins to make thicker cords. I think the bags are great. Can't wait for the tutorial because I am more a visual learner 🙂
The round section would make nice chair pads for kitchen chairs.

Thank-you, Eloise! I'm so happy that you remembered me talking about how to gradient the colors!!🥰

There are so many uses and adaptations for these stash busters. I think it would even adapt in a flat use for a good strong vest or jacket!
I learned about that style of bag from Jayda and they can’t be beat for use in hundreds of ways and I have a daughter who loves them as gifts . Keep on stitching’ - waves from Alaska 👋🏼👋🏼♥️♥️♥️♥️
I just made some rugs like this! I think I like your bags soo much better! Thanks for explaining how to do this! Xoxo
