I am almost finished with holiday crafting and would love to try the blanket shrug. I'm currently working on finishing up my very first handmade Christmas village and it's been SO much fun. I bought a little kit that comes with all the supplies you need to create a church, 3 houses, and 6 trees. I've been a tad obsessed 😂. I think the blanket shrug will be the perfect after Christmas project.

@@EliseRoseCrochet it was really fun. I found the kit at Barnes and Noble last year on clearance. All the village pieces are made from card stock and they include all the templates so you can make as many houses and trees as you like 🙂It took me about two weeks to put the entire village together working mostly in the evening after work. Because it's paper I'm going to have to be really careful with storing it and it definitely can't go out in the garage with everything else, most likely in a closet to protect the paper and glue from our brutal Houston summers 🙂

I made the costa beanie for a friend the night before an impromptu get together around Christmas and she loved it so much! My friends were so impressed with how it looked and had no idea I did it one night! I didn't have the Wool Ease yarn on hand so I used a ball of Big Twist Classic (Category 5 weight) held triple and it worked beautifully! I'm actually about to make one for myself because I loved it so much!

Yes! They are the Pinwheel Mitts by Ella Austin on Ravelry. I got the kit from Loop London a couple of years ago. It's a knitting pattern if I didn't make that clear! 🧶❤️🐑

@kjkernSerendipity it doesn't give specific amounts, just says #6 yarn in main and contrast color. It definitely used about half of a big skein of bernat blanket when I made the dino this last week.

I'm still a newbie at learning Hebrew. I'm using 50 Languages resources, TH-cam, fellow students, and the Tanakh Readalong, because I want to learn both Biblical and modern Hebrew. That conversation feature on Babel sounds very interesting. My mom had the CD-ROM French Rosetta Stone program, when I was younger. I preferred the game format of Jumpstart Spanish back then. There's always free, online options available, but I feel that if you choose the paid options, you'll probably get more advanced content out of them. But, you'll only get out of it, what you put into it, whatever you invest in, use it as recommended. You only get a result if you spend time doing it.

Live for a quick work up because my time and often passion for a project is rather little.
I have a blanket that should have taken me a couple weeks, 2/3 of the way done and it's been 2 months. I keep coming back to it though which is not my usual process, once i take a break from a WIP, it's usually destined for an extended stay in the WIP basket then when i find it i get mad at it and frog it.
Lately love making headbands because they're useful and cute and quick
Have you tried the Big Twist POSH yarn? It’s wonderful! I have a hard time seeing my stitches with the fuzzy yarns, but this one was awesome. (And it doesn’t shed - even when you have to rip out stitches!)

Thanks for all the ideas. I’m not sure about that sweater made in Scarfy - i made a hat/headband/cowl/mitts with it last year. The mitts are so worn looking. I don’t think a sweater will last long enough to be worth while, even if it only takes a day to make.

Like you my darling, I have a special needs son and I'm unwell myself.
I was crocheting away a while back and suddenly, I stopped and for the life of me, I just couldn't pick up that hook and yarn!! My poor birds needed to be sewn, bags needed handles attached to them and cardigans...
