After weaving in the ends I pull off the chenille which exposes the cotton threads and then sew them in and knot.

If I could kiss you right now I would. You have rescued me. I have started 3 times with this yarn and was so frustrated not being able to see the stitches. What you have shown makes so much sense. I searched a lot, even under bulky yarns to no avail. Thank you so much. All I wanted was a simple scarf. Thanks again.

I have done dozens of blankets and hundreds of dishcloths. I hate doing corners, I’m never quite sure where to place them. Thank you for showing a close up of all 4 sides and all 4 corners, especially the foundation row corners. Time to use my new knowledge and hopefully not get too frustrated.

@HookedbyRobin I can’t tell you how grateful I am to your channel. I was looking for a stich for a blanket for my adult Son. I was debating between the Lemon peel from your page or the half double Thermal stitch then I found this an just knew this will be the stitch, I have awful issues with straight lines for blankets so this will be my first blanket. My adult son has autism and he was over and picked up one of the cat blankets I made for a rescue and felt it and said “Ewwwww my autism loves this” after my Mom heart restarted I knew I had to do my best to make him a blanket with Bernat blanket super bulky 6 no matter how many times I will have to frog it 😁. Thank you for giving me hope to make this blanket for him. (Sorry this was so long but the story is where the love is lol)

I just want to thank you for sharing this stitch. I have made well over six blankets with this stitch, and I have enjoyed making all of them. I am donating a few of my blankets that I made with this stitch to the Boggy Creek Blanket Drive. The others I will donate to Wishes for Wings because they are collecting baby blankets for the month of October. I am going to continue using this stitch for all the blankets that I make using blanket yarn. Everything looks so even and nice and I don’t have to worry about the stitches becoming unraveled. Also, I am going to make a blanket in the spring for pride month using your tutorial for a Ripple blanket. Thank you for being an amazing teacher. You are truly blessed and talented. Thank you thank you! I am a newbie crochet-er, and I started making a chenille blanket. I probably would have thrown my hook down in frustration if I hadn't found this video and switched from a straight up sc to this hdc into holes. My friends were awed when I stitched in a darkened theater (just need to feel the holes), and that lead me to go try my hand at a bunch of other crochet projects. I recently purchased some realllllllly bad quality chenille yarn and was muttering under my breath when I remembered your video, and now it's coming together into a blanket. Which is good because the yarn was so inexpensive that I bought 12 skeins (and this is why we don't buy yarn at the dollar store, duh). Now it's not going to go to waist and I can make a cute blanket for my newborn grandson.

My first ever crochet project was your viral bee tutorial. That was over a year and a half ago.
A few months ago I decided I wanted so so badly to make my boyfriend a blanket and I bought this kind of yarn knowing he would love it. I followed another TH-cam tutorial and had almost a meter of project done when I realised the sides were wavy and turned to one side. I decided to frog it and when I was ready to completely give up on this gift I came back to your channel and realised you have a whole video on exactly what I needed.
You are such a lifesaver Robin!! Thank you so much for being part of my crochet journey all the way through. Now I know to check your channel first! hahahaha.

What happened to me is the alleged Mark Twain quote - I am such a rookie, that "I didn't know it was impossible, so I did it" : amigurumi with chenille yarn, but boy it took so many failed attempts! 😆 I only started making any progress when I let myself go by feel, like you suggest here. It kind of also works when working into the top of the stitches, but only if I don't let them get too tight. Thank you so much for letting me know it wasn't just me! And also for the color change part of the tutorial.
I am growing to be a big fan of your channel, I have so much satisfaction from being able to - again, as a complete beginner - create intricate patterns (like fans and shells), by following your guidance! ❤ Enjoy your vacation! 🌴
