"It's like poetry... It rhymes."
A trailer/tribute to Darth Sidious/Palpatine, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.
I tried to put their stories in parallel with Darth Nihilus, Visas Marr and the Jedi Exile/Meetra Surik from Knights of the Old Republic II (KotOR 2).

Visas is probably one of my favourite character.
That's an interesting similarity between Visas and Vader, there is a peculiar parallel to them, even Nihilus and Sidious, though they both hunger for power in very different ways.
That's what I was looking for. But you're right, Visas and Vader share a strong similarity.
Didn't even realize that Kelly Hu voiced Visas. Great live and voice actress.

What was the message trying to be conveyed ?
I suppose it's the similarity between the characters of different eras. Like Kreia said, it is a cycle of war that never ends. The same story that rhymes over and over again.
@@experteulogist palpatine and vader wouldn't have been any match to the ancient sith lords.
The scale might be different but the concept is the same.

I love the Kotor games and lore behind them. It's a big sin that Swtor came along and ruined all that bulid up towards the true Sith for Kotor 3.

I cannot believe I have not yet commented on this masterpiece. I am not kidding when I say that by now I have watched it so many times I literally know it by heart, and I think I know about this video for about a year now? In that time I've recommended it to people on other sites too, for I honestly think this is an underrated tribute, although I see it still has relatively few views haha. I will do my best to continue recommending this video to others ;) But seriously, the parrallels, the music and Kreia's and Visas' lines.. Dude it's so good. The impact of it all, even after watching it for the idk how maniest time. My favourite parts are by far when Visas says "If only I had not felt that pain, that loss, as strongly as I did" with those shots of Anakin, and then at the end, when Vader decides to help Luke and turns against Palpatine "I cannot allow you to face him alone." Like ughh, my HEART. The "Forgive me." at the end only makes it hurt all the more. Ooff. So this comment is by now almost a year late, but the feelings and love for this tribute remain as strongly as then so I will tell you about them now anyway. Thank you so much for making this wonderful video, I know it seems like I'm exaggerating or something but I'm truly not. Together with one of DuduFilms tributes this one is number one in my heart. Thank you so much
Wow... I don't really know what to say but you sure made my day. Thank you for your support and that is the truth: it still has not enough views. Keep spreading the word haha. But seriously, I understand what you feel about the video because it happened to me with other tributes (including DuduFilms). I just didn't think it could happen with one of mine. I'm truly happy it did however, I would lie if I told you I didn't make this tribute to make someone feel something. I'm so proud of the part with Luke, I still remember how exited I was when I found the parallel and the montage. Sometimes it's better when it hurts a bit ;) It's always special when I'm told I'm in the same category as Dudu, he is a true master and I'm just an apprentice. I love this video. It’s an amazingly drawn parallel between Kotor 2 and the Prequels. In the first half of the video you use Kreia and Visas’ dialogue about Nihlus to reference Palpatine. Their similarities are remarkable. Both being Sith Lords that perpetuates a Jedi genocide and both having an insatiable hunger for power. The pausing of the music and focusing on Sidious while Kreia says “and that is why he must be stoped,” gives my chills every time. Then in the second half of the video you have Visas talking about her service to Nihlus but its used as Anakin’s, or rather Vader’s perspective of Sidious. Vader’s dead world is Padme, if only he wasn’t so afraid of that pain and that loss. Altogether its a really well done video, it really shows how Kotor 2 and the prequels yah know, rhyme.

This exemplifies the depth and care that was put into KOTOR 2. Some of the BEST Star Wars ever made was in that series, then EA bought it...betrayed and MURDERED IT...from a certain point of view.

Star Wars rhymes throughout its many stories. I never noticed this rhyme. I never compared Palpatine to Nihilus since Kreia insisted it is not the same kind of power the two 'men' crave. Only at the end did I see it, "I have watched my people die, you will survive."

Kotor 2 was peak Star Wars, you can't change my mind. Just the amount of fleshing out, and truly putting the Jedi to the proof behind their choices, etc. It drove home the fact of (In an incredibly powerful way) Jedi arrogance, and indolence in the face of adversity. And in that fear to act, they created two of their own that had the potential to destroy everything the Jedi stood for. Revan, and Meetra Surik. In a sense, they orchestrated their own downfall in the Old Republic era. An interesting thought, I think.
As for the video, yes. The parallels took me a couple watches to catch, but once I did, I only loved the video even more. Well done (From 5 years later)
Thank you (from one week later). It is, still to this day, my favourite Star Wars game and one of my favourite games of all time.
@@experteulogist I played it on Xbox first when I was a kid, and I loved it so much back then I wore out two discs playing it. (Not to mention controllers) And even today, when I go back to play it, the philosophy the game brings in to the Star Wars universe is just incredible.
Same thing here. I played it on Xbox as a kid and a few years later on PC, it made me appreciate it even more. The more you grow as a person, the more there is to this game.
