By using a combination of the stroke panel and the appearance panel, we can create cool and funky outlines and effects to artwork on the canvas.
In this easy Illustrator tutorial, I will go through how to prepare your text or object ready for a stroke to be applied, how to apply stroke using the stroke panel, and then how to apply multiple strokes using the appearance panel.

Hi, i am tring to add a clipping mask as the fill in the text but it doesnt allow me to do that
HEY WHAT FONT IS THIS ?
Is there an easy way to do this on types in a non-destructive way, so it's easy to change the text later on?
Off the top of my head I believe if you group the text then apply a stroke layer to the group that will keep the text in a state of text - you would have to test this though, not 100% sure.
You can save the effect as a style and then reapply it to diffrent objects such as selected text. Then you can apply it to a new Textbox and have the effect :D
thnx!! but why can't i make it from outside??? the button is there but it's grey and i can't click it!!!
Same
It won't let me do even the first step
