I've got Illustrator CC (2017.1.0 Release) and the Cap and Corner options have moved. They're no longer under the Stroke Menu as shown at 2:25. Now you need to access them by clicking on the word "Stroke" in the Appearance Menu. A popup menu appears with those options. Other than that, I love this tutorial! Thanks!

Do you know if it's possible to outline a stroke you made via the Appearance panel? I can't seem to do so (Adobe Illustrator CC 2018). Really great tut, btw.
I encounter difficulties when I want to break up the already made graphics in the way you show in the font. I would like to get several objects by cutting them in turn from the border font and subsequent strokes. Then I will give them different fillings to create unusual graphics. I also have an idea to make graphics consisting of several patterned fillings and add them or subtract them from each other. Tell us what commands to use to manipulate them.
