Thanks a lot!
This one was by far the most simple tutorial I could find.
I owe you a subscribe!
Thanks so much for the quick video!!! Very helpful!!!
Too funny. I needed a quick refresher on offset and I was happy to see you use your dog’s name. My dog is Jäger but would sometimes get called Jagger by strangers. He’s such a good boy and yours is probably too.
so cool! thank you for the keychain tip ✨

Hello there, I'm learning clothing pattern design & I need to create the seam allowance but when I do the offset path, I get a the path outside & inside the pattern, do you know how can I get only the outside one? I've been looking around but I'm not that good at Illustrator yet, thanks.
Without seeing the actual file, it sounds like you need to ungroup/release compound path until all you’re selecting is a single shape.
If you have several shapes in a group, you’ll get what you’re describing.
@@BigBlueLaserDesigns Thank you for answering so fast but I already figured out, it happens that I can delete the inner path & as well modify the anchors.
You’re welcome! You can definitely delete the extra path. I’d like you to discover the initial cause. I suspect it’s one of the things I mentioned.
hey i love the tutorial however, i want to make keychain offsets of an image which is image traced, because if we offset it directly the small pixels made by the image trace options shatter and makes a mess. so is there any way i can make outlines for that it would be helpfull
Without seeing the trace you have, I’d be guessing, but it sounds like the trace needs to be cleaned up first, deleting stray nodes that don’t belong. You can also use the “simplify” function to help there too.
