Yo i have a question for you cuz if anyone would know the answer, it’d be you...when you mentioned sending back the zippo to the factory, it made me think of this...so, many years ago, I purchased a zippo that was silver in color, (maybe chrome, maybe nickel...not really sure...but that’s not that important actually) and the main feature of this zippo was the ?painted on? black guitar, or like part of a guitar...like mostly the body. But anyway, after 10 years of normal use (no tricking, just lighting cigs), the guitar literally peeled/chipped/wore completely off and now it just looks like a simple like $15 silver color zippo, as opposed to the $35 silver colored zippo with a guitar on... I guess my question is...is there anyway to like prove it had a guitar on it and have the manufacturer replace it? I mean, I know there’s the letter and number code on the bottom, but I always thought that just had something to do with the manufacture date or something like that...there’s not much else I can see that could indicate anything else really. So what do you think I should do...or am even capable of doing, that you know of? If you answer this then thank you so much in advance.
I'm no expert, but as far as I know Zippo only guarantees functional damage. Scuffs, Scratches, Dings and peeling paint do not hinder the Zippos performance so I think that does not fall under the warranty.
Zorro lighter has my attention.!!For the price and quality it offers, you cant go wrong.Nowadays, theres no genuine idea like before to be main priority.its all about competing&improvising the origin that offers better value for our hard earn money.Zorro has that factors on me.And to be on specific words correctly was"FLAGSHIP KILLER".I beleive Zorro will getting there soon.
I wanted a butane insert for my armoured Zippo and found that the original doesn't fit. The Zorro one fits perfectly. 👍 As for not turning you back on Zippo they might be turning theirs on some of us. I tried buying a new Confederate flag Zippo (they used to sell them) recently and there were none on their website. I can't help but feel that is a political move. 🤔
Have you or anyone you know tried the Alli-Express knock-off of the Corona Elysee? Love this design, really want to test one but they run about $170 on AE. Seems risky and can't find a youtube review of one.
Watched this after several other of your videos. Question: With the Zorro, what do you think about changing the batting cotton, like with the Zippo and the Cotton Bacon? I understand I don't need the bag trick, with the gasket, but I'm thinking more about just having more fuel?
@@mailfisherblade101 "Cotton Bacon" is the brand name for a package of very pure cotton. It comes in round strips, about six or seven in a bag, around 6-7 inches long. They're used primarily by "vapers" who use e-cigarettes and who make their own modified electrical coils (to vaporize liquid nicotine). It's not so easy to find in physical stores, as of 2021, but it can easily be found online. Search for "cotton bacon cotton." The purity of the cotton makes for better filler material (batting) inside the lighter, which allows it to hold more lighter fluid -- sometimes called gas or kerosene, although neither of those words is correct. Lighter fluid is white gas, sold by Ronson or Zippo in small plastic containers.
Wanted to get one. Was wondering if these have the zippo problem where you need to refill them pretty often. Heard some ppl say zippos lose their fuel within one week or even less even if u dont use them.

Right now I'm looking for the best for the money Flints for it. Does anybody have any great recommendations for Flints that work great other than zippo Flints? PS I happily recommend the Zorro lighter I have. It has a great feel and works very well. It holds the gas in almost too well, so that you need to blow on it or wave it before lighting it due to all the gas verses air. If I had the money to blow I'd buy several more of this lighter, it's that great. But this is just my own opinion. I wish I could have the zorro lighters others didn't like sent to me. Lol 🤣 I haven't tried a flat top, simply because the rounded top is so comfortable to use or carry. It would be cool to have one of the super thick lighters for a table top use. But to be honest, I'm disabled, so I can't really afford to buy too many things I don't really need. But if you can afford them, Zorro makes great lighters with an awesome feel to them. I love the weight of all of that brass and the integrated hinges. Mine is awesome. 😎👍

Hi, I want a gold dust brass like the one you have but the picture is so small I cannot know which one it is. Is it the 912 150G with black background $27.65 one?
I was hoping to get a look at the Zorro 538. I have my eye on this one because it appears to be thinner and would think lighter in weight. Can anybody provide any real use info on the 538?
Hi, thanks very interesting. What is the model name of the chunkiest Zorro, the new one one in the box, on the upper left. I need a very durable hinge to play while I use the computer, I can't use my collector's item World War II design on it (January 2013 I believe not an actual World War 2 version) to play it when I'm a bit stressed. I don't smoke but I use it for melting excess sewing threads and electronics heat shrink tube when I'm in a hurry. Thank you. God bless, Rev. 21:4
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors We should petition for Zippo to buy Zorro so Zorro's build quality (it's suprisingly has better quality than Zippo even though Zorro's chinese designed, chinese made. It's one of those exceptional chinese companies) is applied in all Zippos making it way durable than Zippo's Armor (the hinge especially when it fall on a marble floor) and is sealed (I gave up on fueling Zippo, it's just display now, all the methods for sealing it from the strip of plastic technique to the silicone replacement for the felt at the bottom, preventing it from evaporating is not really that great). God bless, Rev. 21:4
wish to the Gods they would. 316 stainless would be prefect in a ZORRO, hell even an EXOTAC TitanLight, or a Maratc XL Peanut. Weight be damned I don't care. No corrosion😂
@@ZippoFanatic77 some reviews say the 912s model has better designed hinges, and also say the screws are just imprinted and not real . Figured I would pass that along.
The shiny lighters look good until they get fingerprints then all I want to do is throw the filthy thing in the washer. I didn't. Give me a Zippo with raised gold texturing anytime.
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors oh sweet, thank you! also one last question, I just got my Zorro lighter a few minutes ago, like what a coincidence, but can you put zippo lighter fluid in the zorro lighters or do they only use kerosene? (I heard that the zippo fuel dries out the o rings)
@@ZigzagMan51 haha no just use zippo fluid. Naphtha by its chemical name is much cleaner and refined. Kerosene is very dirty crude. I put it in my zippo and after a few fills it would never lite again due to how dirty the kerosene was. I had to fully change wick and and cotton just for it to work again. Don’t use kerosene and don’t listen to those crazy redditors lol might work a few times won’t work in the long run and isn’t healthy for the internals
Zorro hasn't fixed the evaporation problem (none of the third party inserts has yet fixed it). Those rubber seals are garbage - they leak almost as much as a regular Zippo. "Two months"? I'd be surprised if it lasted two weeks. I've had numerous lighters that boast rubber seals, and they all evaporate as fast as a Zippo. If this one is different, I'll eat my hat. As for the idea that Zippo is "top dog", I'm wondering how you come to that conclusion, since Zippo is a terrible lighter, and only truly great for one thing - doing spin tricks with it.
@@tikkidaddy I haven't tried Exotac (it seems to be sold out at the moment - and looking at the design, the placement of the seal gives me some concern), but for those who want a lighter that outlasts the excellent IMCO, I can vouch for the brass Maratac Peanut XL: its seals (which are better-placed than the Exotac) work perfectly. Its only drawbacks (compared to the IMCO and the Exotac) are that it's not a wind-proof lighter and you need to use tools to replace the flint.
To be fair, a living wage in China is a lot less than it is in the US. The Chinese workers are probably getting paid as much, in terms of buying power where they live, as Zippo workers are getting paid in the US in terms of buying power there. Not that I think any of the workers are being paid fairly - their businesses are not non-profits, after all - so the profit in both cases goes to some lazy rich scumbag, rather than to the workers who deserve it.
First one I got was the chonky one. Just like you, because of my grandfather, I will always love my Zippo. But hot damn that thing is like a throwing weapon out of Elden Ring or something😂 . Unfortunately the heavy Zorro did NOT come with the seal installed. Everything else was perfect. So whoopie do, put a new o ring on...well despise my being stooopid careful with that super thin o ring and cleaning out the channel and all, the lid would not close flush with one of the provided seals installed, and one of em broke. I don't "trick" I use the lighter for a lighter. I don't smoke anymore. But Ima get one of those 3 prong hinge jobs. I love these things man. The O rings on an EXOTAC TitanLight and a Maratac Brass XL are far easier to install and those lighters will hold fluid for years , unless you use em all the time
cant find these anywhere online...

But if you can afford them, Zorro makes great lighters with an awesome feel to them. I love the weight of all of that brass and the integrated hinges. Mine is awesome. 😎👍
"Table lighter reasons" I also use the butane torch insert for table lighter reasons 😂
Zippo 4evah!!! But, I did also just order half a dozen Zorros based on your recent vids. Only bummer is having to wait a month for shipping.
@@ZippoFanatic77 I checked the links against the ones I ordered from and I did order some of them from those links. I ordered the titanium last week and added one of each of the two sizes of war armor, a red copper ultimate justice and a slim model.
@@ZippoFanatic77 oh dude, I went a little nuts. Also ordered a couple inserts and some parts. I blame you. LOL
After see your Zorro...I will try order it...looks like gud
Would be cool if you shot it, I wonder how it holds up compared to a zippo.
@7:02 That kind of mindset is why zippo no longer tries to innovate or improve their products, because people just buy them anyway not matter what.
Yeah I feel ya. New channel I lost this one. If u want come follow me over there
Make sure to check out the new Zippo Fanatic 77 Outdoors channel as this old one was hacked. Just search in the youtube search bar and be sure to include the new outdoor part. He's back! Let's help him get the channel rebuilt!
Those are definitely cool, but doesn't have that classic zippo look. Especially the look of a tarnished case with a loose hinge that looks like it's been through hell and back lol. Good vid I left a 👍
@@ZippoFanatic77 yeah no kidding, I just took a look at the link in your comment. Those prices are pretty hurtful, nothin under 35 bucks😬 and agreed, I wish they would reinforce the hinges a little more some how cuz tricks are just too fun not to do lol
@@ZippoFanatic77 I think it's awesome how much custom stuff you do to zippos. I would love to get one of your custom lighters one of these days.
Wow 50$ for an armor! My HPB armor ran me on 25 on Amazon - I am in the US tho
Yes that’s the going rate here in Canada. I also lost this channel and have a new one if your interested
We getting out of the trenches with dis one 😤
you should try the imco and douglas field lighters
I have the Douglas field lighter, love it but it nearly never lights in the first try. Might have to try one of these.
Hi, I want a gold dust brass like the one you have but the picture is so small I cannot know which one it is. Is it the 912 150G with black background $27.65 one?
No idea but I lost this channel come see me on my new one
Amazon children's book: Hey Mon Cool It
I just got a 912 and after installing the oring, it won't close. Is it defective?
I was hoping to get a look at the Zorro 538. I have my eye on this one because it appears to be thinner and would think lighter in weight. Can anybody provide any real use info on the 538?
Those links are dead do you have any new links!
I have a 553 how and where do I replace the Wick
Do these Zorro lighters fit a Zippo insert?
@@ZippoFanatic77 Okay thanks for the info!
He sounds like Zippo™ is standing behind him with a gun to his temple
Where can i get the brass one??
i own like 12 zippos, got my first zorro ,hate to say it but i prefer it to my zippos, thicker metal, better hindge, fuel lasts longer
How tricking is with the squared one compared with the Titanium rounded?
@@ZippoFanatic77 yes I know it 😂
But is it better armor Zorro squared or rounded one?
How do I buy one
sweet lighter that brass zorro, but i like the fault of zippos so i can fix it up and get it running. like a engine if u anderstand me
@@ZippoFanatic77 Its more like you less gonna fix a zorro
They are cheaper now, 25 bucks for the 912s after shipping and taxes
The truth is the truth......Give us all your details. WE WANT HONESTY.
Oh I don’t know off the top of my head. But I have new channel I lost this one
Do they make stainless steel models?
wish to the Gods they would. 316 stainless would be prefect in a ZORRO, hell even an EXOTAC TitanLight, or a Maratc XL Peanut. Weight be damned I don't care. No corrosion😂
Nice buddy you going to have a live stream tonight
Ok I will be there
They should make a thick titanium lighter
9:35 *_chunk_*
did I miss something? 12 minutes and you did not light either lighter ?
He didn't need to that wasn't even the point just image it being the exact same as a lit zippo
@@Zippoguy338 not to mention that he says you can put a regular zippo insert in a zorro
@ainsleytoledo2846 yeah they function the exact same just the zorro case is different but both are the same idea
I cant find any online. Where do you get yours
Aliexpress but the shipping can take a while for some
So has anyone gotten the huge one with screwed on hinges?
@@ZippoFanatic77 some reviews say the 912s model has better designed hinges, and also say the screws are just imprinted and not real . Figured I would pass that along.
@@ZippoFanatic77 also what brand butane insert?
Loved it
Where can I get one??
Ali express. I have a new channel also I lost this one
I have one for 50 shipped if u want
haha you changed your tune about non zippos real quick
hmm there even another model name heavy armour
They want waaaaaay too much for the titanium. Like I understand that titanium is more costly but not for the price they are asking haha
@@ZippoFanatic77 true. I ordered one anyways haha hope it’s good quality
Zippos come with a loose hinge by factory. So, yeah lol
The shiny lighters look good until they get fingerprints then all I want to do is throw the filthy thing in the washer. I didn't.
Give me a Zippo with raised gold texturing anytime.
I don’t buy from China anymore
Where do u buy ur mobiles from ?
Is Ali express safe to order from? Anyone order from them before?
Yeah it’s safe bro I order there all the time. But I also have a new channel now. Lost this one
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors oh dang, what’s your new channel called man? I love your content
Man
@@ZigzagMan51 just click on the name on I’m commenting from. Thanks I appreciate it Gabriel
Dude......you could kill someone with it if you threw it at them. Lol
As for the idea that Zippo is "top dog", I'm wondering how you come to that conclusion, since Zippo is a terrible lighter, and only truly great for one thing - doing spin tricks with it.
so which is a good lighter? I am still looking for a good onne.
IMCO, EXOTAC TITAN LIGHT or Maratac brass peanut XL by County comm
@@tikkidaddy I haven't tried Exotac (it seems to be sold out at the moment - and looking at the design, the placement of the seal gives me some concern), but for those who want a lighter that outlasts the excellent IMCO, I can vouch for the brass Maratac Peanut XL: its seals (which are better-placed than the Exotac) work perfectly. Its only drawbacks (compared to the IMCO and the Exotac) are that it's not a wind-proof lighter and you need to use tools to replace the flint.
what they are, is the remains of ronson british empire hong kong!
Imma fan boi too
no lighter to see ............ only fingers
Size matters. hahaha
WTF is heavy tricking lol
I’ve seen u being ignorant on all these videos. Why do u even watch them lol
I would buy a Zorro if they pay their workers a wage on the level of Zippo and provide a lifetime warranty.
To be fair, a living wage in China is a lot less than it is in the US. The Chinese workers are probably getting paid as much, in terms of buying power where they live, as Zippo workers are getting paid in the US in terms of buying power there. Not that I think any of the workers are being paid fairly - their businesses are not non-profits, after all - so the profit in both cases goes to some lazy rich scumbag, rather than to the workers who deserve it.

zorro, in some point is bettee than zippo....
At the end of the day it’s still Chinese junk that you throw in a drawer. I would say Zippo or DuPont.
The O rings on an EXOTAC TitanLight and a Maratac Brass XL are far easier to install and those lighters will hold fluid for years , unless you use em all the time
*IT SADDENS ME SOOOOO EXTREEEEMLY THAT ZIPPO WONT CARE TO TAKE NOTES8'((((((*
