This was an extremely helpful video. I had tried everything and done a total tune up and still could not get it to crank. I followed this video step by step and it cranked the first time. It hadn’t started in over a year! The presenter went out of his way to show how to take everything apart, clean, and then reconnect the components. Thanks man! You saved me a costly repair bill.
Great teaching video. I have never cleaned a small engine carb but after watching this video, I cleaned the carb on my craftsman pressure washer. Unit starts and runs like new!!!
2020 CRAFTSMAN 2800-PSI 2.3-GPM Cold Water Gas Pressure Washer with Briggs & Stratton. New purchase $289, worked perfect. 2021 Summer. Won't start. Paid local repair man $40. Was told to use non-ethanol gas to prevent carb issues in Northwest. Worked perfect. 2022 Summer. Won't start. Pissed off and tried to sell on Clist for $100 and no takers. 2023 Summer. Cleaned carb jet w/cleaner ($7) and 14K gold acid ($16 amazon). Works perfect. Thank you so much for giving me the confidence to solve this issue. Can't wait for next carb clog.
I read the manual first, and it sucked. Thanks for posting this because you helped me realize I needed to get the main jet assembly out. Without your help I would have left that whole thing in there because it looked like it didn’t come out - and that made the difference.
Amazing video! I believe you called it the needle valve that is in the center of the float, mine looks like it’s missing a gasket/rubber seal. Should I be able to replace it with a kit or do I have to buy a new carburetor?
I picked up 2 of these this past weekend at Lowes for $25 each, being sold as customer returns for parts only. They have the briggs cr950 engines which seem easier to work on. Both weren't getting fuel so I removed and cleaned the carbs and they are working perfectly now. I also noticed the original Torch spark plugs were gapped at 0.010 so replaced those with ngk gapped at 0.030. Seems craftsman should include better instructions on either draining the gas or running the machines dry and also using a fuel stabilizer, they wouldn't have so many negative reviews for machines not starting.
clean it again but make sure you clean the tank also make sure you use a clean dry gas can with nothing in it and buy new fuel. I'm willing to bet you accidentally dumped water in your tank. you'll know when you pull the carb. if the liquid beads up its water.

Good video sergio argentina
Wanted to hear it run. Lol
had to do an oil change as well. oil was full of gas.
So who all else is here because they grabbed the wrong gas can?
I have to clean this stupid thing every year. Pain in the ass.
@@johnathonroof1222 you could use rec 90 gas and start it every 2 weeks with water hooked up. Or just take the 15 min and clean it.
