UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust th-cam.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.

This is hands-down one of the best tutorials I’ve seen on TH-cam. I don’t mean just for pressure washers I’m talking about for any kind of repair remodel or what have you. You don’t waste peoples time with an overly lengthy introduction, you get right to the point. You explain things well and your subject matter is easy to understand. The results are undeniable. Thank you so very much for putting out such great content!

    Worked like a charm 🌟
A couple of tips some might useful:
🔹Long cylinder jet stuck inside the carburator
    - I just used a really thin hex key that for inside to jostle it a bit, leaned the p.washer towards me & out it came! (It was a good thing I bothered with it b/c it was definitely crudded inside.
    🔹 No air compressor
    - I used Wd-40 & a very thin metal wire from my jewelry-making supplies to clean the elements. (Every diameter of wire can be found at Hobby Lobby or your local craft shop 😊)
    ~Thanks 4 the vid Jeff!

This was EXACTLY what I needed to do. I had let my washer sit for 2+ years unused with fuel in it and the carburetor was completely gummed up 10x worse than the one in the video, which explains why my arm felt like it was going to fall off trying to get it started! Video made the repair really easy and saved me time and money. THANK YOU!

Hi I bought one exactly like this for $100 because it wasn't running right, and cleaned the carburetor and fixed. Recently found one at the local dump and same thing. People just don't want to deal with fixing things. Shut off the gas let run until it quits before putting it away saves a lot of problems. This goes for any gas engines cut the gas line put in shutoff valves on everything. Thanks for sharing.

May 28th 2022. I used the High E string to successfully clear out the carb jet after repeated failed attempts to remove the jet.
The float bowl was a tar pit, float coated in sticky film. An hour of scrapping & a dozen passes with a Guirar string....first time in 18 months running on this very new Honda GVC 190. Tip.....DRAIN THE FLOAT BOWL !!! if your unit is going to sit for more than 3 days. BIG THANK YOU from Oregon to Jeff's Little Engine Service.

Thanks. Just bought this same engine, and it was gunked BAD! Wouldnt start. Jet was plugged tight.
    This fixed it.
A word of advice. If you have ANY yard equipment that takes gasoline, put gas stabilizer in your gas can! It will save you a whole lot of heartache and possibly money. I prefer Startron. But theres others out there. When gas gets cheap, i fill up 4 5gal cans, and dose it with startron. This gas lasts me 4yrs in my equipment.

It worked! Initially, was able to get pin out previously but couldn't get the long cylinder out. Cleaned pin, put everything back together and it wouldn't start. Frustrated, I drained the gas and let it sit through the winter. Tried again today and after straightening out a large sized paper clip and pushing it through the cylinder with a little bend to it, it finally came out. Cleaned it off as instructed and put it back together and it worked on the first pull!!!
For those struggling to get the pin out, try a slightly bent large paper clip and have some patience. Take the time to get that cylinder out. That was the key for me. Thanks for the helpful video instruction....sure like saving some $$$!!

I had the same problem with my GCV 200 power washer. I bought it last fall and could not get it started this spring. I'm not mechanically inclined at all. I was going to try to take it back to Lowes and beg for a replacement or take it to get repaired. I followed the steps in your video. My carburetor was a little different. I put fresh gas in and it started on the first pull. This was a major mechanical victory for me! Thanks for sharing the information!

Our 8-year old pressure washer fell in the salt water pool, and I thought it was done. We rinsed it with fresh water and let it dry for a few days, but the carburator was caked with salt water residue. I had to completely remove it to clean around the float and the valve seat. After putting everything back together, the washer sounds and works like new again. Thank you for sharing the video.

My power washer wouldn't start at all. I took the carb off, sprayed carb cleaner on it, and it finally started but would only run with the choke on. every time I pushed the lever in from choke to run it would die. One thing I did not do was unscrew the main jet and pull that out. I will do that and remove the inner jet/tube as well exactly like you did. Your video is by far the BEST one out there becasue the few others I watched did not show removing the main jet at all. I was removing the carb altogether from the side of the mower and feel stupid not knowing I could have just removed the bottom of the carb pan only because I had to do that anyway after I removed the entire carb off the engine when getting to the flow. Great job on the video becaseu you are helping people whoc can take things apart but you are teaching them how to take it apart fully to removing the carb jets. Awesome job man. I was ready to chuck this thing to the curb not knowing I wasn't doing a full card clean out. Dang it. (:-).

Jeff I can't thank you enough! Watched your video, followed your steps, FIRED RIGHT UP FIRST PULL! Your instructions are clear and concise and easy to follow. I used a single staple instead of a wire to clean out the nozzle of the main jet. Also, on the Honda GCV 160 it's easier to remove the soap holder (two screws) in order to reach the jet in the middle. Thanks again Jeff, you saved me time, money and frustration!!

Thanks Jeff! I just saved a trip to the small engine repair shop and some money doing this yesterday in the garage (all doors open). To everyone out there, if the float comes off, you'll probably lose the little "stick valve" (that's all I can describe it as) as I did the first time and gas was leaking everywhere, so I had to open it up all over again! But, having said that, I know exactly what to do now thanks to YOU Jeff!

After trying to start my pressure washer for 30 minutes I admitted defeat, came inside, and ran across this video. I scanned through it and ran across the float bowl section. Rather than disassemble it, I rapped on it, the best I could, with a screwdriver handle about 10 times. It started on the next pull. So you may be able to free up some stuck parts by rapping on it. I have no doubt that this video helped me. Thanks for posting!

I watched your video and thought, no wayI'll get off that easy! My stepfather drained all the fuel when he winterized it summer before last. It was litterally brand new. But after putting gas in it today, I pulled on the rope til I thought I was going to fall out. I pulled the fuel bowl off and it was clean as a whistle. I pulled the jet and emulsifier out and they were spotless. Shot some WD40 in the hole and ran a piece of wire through all the holes even though they all looked wide open. I put everything back, turned on the gas, waited a few seconds for the bowl to fill, and gave it a yank. It tarted right up. I guess the WD40 chased the evil spirits out of the carb. This Honda reminds me of some of the Tecumseh carbs beck in the day. The tiniest speck of trash is all it takes.

Thank you!! I fought my damn pressure washer all day, yesterday, until it would no longer start. I have a very long driveway and was only able to clean about 2/3 of it before the washer stopped working, so I finished using a garden hose and push broom. I've had issues in the past with the carb on my Honda powered wood splitter, which I pulled out and cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner, so it makes sense that the carb is the issue on the pressure washer, as well. I always run my engines until the gas burns out of the carb and treat my gasoline. The Honda engines are the only ones that get clogged carbs...
Thank you again for this video. I am about to seal my asphalt driveway and will hit it again with the pressure washer after I clean the carb.

Thanks Jeff, your instructions worked perfectly on my pressure washer issue where I had left gas in it over the winter. Cranked first time! However, when I got the flow bowl off, I could not see the main jet, much less the longer cylinder. Just what appeared to be an empty aluminum tube. I continued with your instructions, added new gas, and presto. My washer is identical to the one in the video, but couldn't see/find the jet.

So glad there are people that take the time to post these things. I got mine out of storage, pulled a couple hundred times, couldn't start it, put it back in storage, finally looked this up. Clogged jet. Started on second pull. Thanks so much for taking the time.

there is nothing mentioned about cleaning the carburetor in the manual just "take to an authorized technician".
gonna cross my fingers and try this out tomorrow.

Amazing video, great tutorial, and excellent instructions and tips through out every step!!! Sadly I had to take apart the entire air filter housing and carburetor to get the jets out of mine. Unit has run for over 4 years and was completely plugged.

Just finished, Karcher with Honda motor. Couldn't get it running, after a year sitting idle. I did it the long way, and took the whole carburetor off.Jet was plugged. Cleaned based on your video, and it started on the first pull... Much appreciated, thank you!

Thank you so much for this video! Such an easy fix for my husband and I after several failed attempts at starting our once or twice-used pressure washer after it had been sitting in storage without fuel for 3 years.

First time a youtuber has saved my sanity and from me hurling a basically brand new pressure washer across the neighborhood like hulk. I knew it was the carburetor and I had it somewhat apart.....put it back together still didn't start....look up on youtube and watch your video. Corrected my actions, did what you did.......and all be damned if it started the first pull like yours. Awesome job on your video, you saved my pressure washers life.

Jeff, you just saved me two 45 min round trips and probably $50 or so. Everything looked spotless, all the orifices looked clean even before running a few strands of wire though, but one tiny salt looking granule popped out of the emulsifier. I was shocked that is started on the first pull. Big thanks from Leesburg, VA

This was SO helpful! I fixed it with your help! I NEVER can fix anything so I am so excited about this accomplishment! One thing that was difficult on mine was I couldn't get a screw driver in to remove the inside piece like you showed -- my model might be a little older, but I used a sewing pin and stuck it up in there are just cleared it that way and it worked for now. I would love to know how I could really take it completely apart like you did but there was no way to get a screw driver up there and it was impossible to see it either.

You are sooooo good! Thank you for posting this. My Honda pressure washer (Troy) would not start for the first time, in 10+ years. I take very good care of my tools, but I now see I have more to learn. People like you who go to the trouble (I KNOW how much work is involved!), to post 'how to fix stuff' videos will have a special place in Heaven. Thank you.

Many thanks to you for sharing this remedy!
The second jet pin would not drop out for me. I removed the float bowl to expose more of the aluminum shaft that allowed me to tap a longer section of shaft area and like magic the second jet pin finally dropped out. By the naked eye, I could not see any obvious blockage, but I went ahead and followed your plan....SUCCESS!!!
I was ready to junk the pressure washer after trying everything I could think of to start this machine after it had been sitting for a year. I had even started shopping online for a replacement deal. You sir have saved me a lot of money....THANK YOU!

Thank you very much! I didn’t winterize my pressure washer and although it cranked, as soon as I turned off the choke, it died. And then it just wouldn’t start again. I followed the steps and I had some gunk that needed to be cleaned, but it still wouldn’t crank. I ordered a new carb for $20 but decided to go again and this time clean a little deeper. I removed the whole carb, cleaned it with Gumout and repeated the steps in your video again. Put it all back and viola, first pull start. Six full gas tanks later and my property is clean without a single hiccup. Can’t thank you enough for making this process so ABC for me- I was almost ready to buy a new one. Thank you again!

Wow! Thanks for the great video and easy to follow instructions! My husband bought our power washer over a year ago and only was able to use it ONCE. We tried Costco concierge service and the manufacturer toll free number. Neither of them were helpful. I found your video and showed my husband (who normally would not tackle something like this). After following the steps, he is now happily power washing our patio! I'm so proud of him, and grateful for your help! Thank you 😊

Had to pull the entire carb off to get access to the bottom but man, what an easy fix with a can of parts cleaner with a straw. My jet and tube was all sorts of gummed up. I was very grateful that I found your video. The pressure sprayer in your video is the exact same model as mine, and I had the exact same symptoms - wouldn't start after being in my basement over winter / spring and the unit is only 2 years old. I followed your tutorial precisely and there was nothing like the sound of that thing starting up on the 2nd pull ! Thank you very much for helping a rookie like myself.
