Ilia thank you for these beautiful videos! I walked the coastal route a year ago, and watching this first day brought back wonderful memories. And you chose the inland route so I’m looking forward to seeing what I missed. Also - great music selection, we want to steal your playlist. Thank you again!
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I hope you enjoy watching the other videos on the channel too. th-cam.com/play/PLCP4dFS3YN3jcNAsfuR0HDJgrgBEmjtln.html&si=OugEkcIfB34KfOAr
@@Ilia.justtravel Indeed. As you know, everyone’s Camino is their own. It was raining when we arrived in Porto. It was raining at the Catedral when we began our walk. The rain along the beaches up past the refineries soaked our shoes as the water ran down our legs and filled them from the inside. My poor wife’s shoes never dried and her feet were a mess when we got to Santiago, in the rain. We experienced flooded trails, detours and horizontal rain crossing the Eiffel Bridge. And yet, we persevered. We got up each morning and walked. We walked in the rain with other Pilgrims and we all basked in the glorious sunshine when it appeared. Bom Camino!
@@stevefoster1511 Wow, what a journey you've had through the Camino with challenges and the beauty! It's truly amazing how despite the rain and all the difficulties, the spirit of the Camino brings people together, helping each other. Thank you for sharing your experience, and Bom Camino!
Enjoying your videos. I’ve walked out of Porto 5 times to Santiago. This Thursday I walk again with my 14 year old daughter. I came across your videos, trying to get myself in the right mood. Her and I will be walking the coastal the whole way. (I’ve already pre booked many places, because it will be the high season, and she’s 14… I’ve walked in the winter a couple of times. Very different atmosphere, but worth it. Bom Caminho!
Thanks for your comment! Wow, 5 times! I'd like to go in September next time. It's great that you have this walk with your daughter. Enjoy your journey! Bom Caminho!
I encourage you to consider making the volume of narrations equal to the volume of the music so that the viewer is not needing to constantly adjust the volume up, down, up down, up etc. After about the third time many people just click through to another video. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

The one thing that gets on peoples nerves is pronunciation, especially when a video is presented as a guide or base of knowledge… please do your homework on pronunciations (Al-berg-ay not Al-burg-you)
Looks like I spent too much time enjoying the albergue's hospitality and not enough practicing my pronunciation! Thanks for the tip, I'll work on it for the sequel: 'Pronunciation Adventures'!
@@Ilia.justtravel You sound like one of those people that can never accept criticism of any description. Obviously some spoiled rich kid with a privileged upbringing. Probably an American. FYI it is pronounced ALBERG.
In my video, the pronunciation of 'albergue' isn't correct. The right way to say it is Al-berg-e. Thanks for understanding, and enjoy the content! 😊

Very nice. And look at the SUNSHINE! We had rain, rain, rain in 2019.
Yes, I was lucky. But I think that the Camino even in the rain was an interesting experience for you.

Bom Caminho!
BTW, the Spanish "ñ" corresponds to the Portuguese "nh" so, before the border, expect to find indications as "Caminho de Santiago"
