I'll give that marten credit, at least it figured out pretty quickly that the raccoon was more than a match and moved off to find easier prey. LOL, the raccoon legit gave it a, "You aren't seriously trying to square off against me" look. 😂🤣😂🤣
@@karmaakabane1113 No, Raccoons are only afraid of Wolves, Mountain Lions, Bears and Wolverines in the wild. Here in the states a healthy fully grown Raccoon can drive away a full grown Bobcat, Possum, or Coyote.

The fact that the raccoon has hands to hold him away from neck in addition to his teeth is what separates him from a fox or ground hog which would be in trouble.

Since martens are a member of the weasel family (mustelidae) they are very aggressive to other animals.
Mustelides are proper gutsy. To attack a raccoon requires balls of steel.

Groundhog or rabbit? yes. Red foxes prey on pine martens when they can.
