im 36 years old and i want to marry her ... such a good playing and what a face was made as the music by gods ... when youre musician its hard to see female players , and very rare one that play good ... yet whit an angel face as that is crazy
Tell me about it! I'm 74 and have played guitar since I was a teen (but only folk music in those days). When I was 24 I started to learn flamenco from a guy who learned in Spain. I messed with that for a number of years, without learning much music. Finally decided to start playing classical. Wish I could play as well as she does. I'm working through the Bach 1st Cello Suite Prelude now. It's coming along well, but she's way ahead of me! I should have started playing classical when I was young instead of wasting time with folk music.

Julia - Thanks for sharing your rendition of La Catedral. I am in the process of learning this piece myself, and it is very helpful to hear your interpretation of it. I also can appreciate the time and dedication required to perform such a demanding piece which you play with such beauty and ease. It is a lovely expression of who you are, and who you are becoming. I would also venture to say that Agustin must be proud to know that his masterpiece lives on through performances such as yours.
This young lady is simply outstanding and this performance is superb. From my perspective, her technique is flawless. Each note rings out and her tone is just wonderful. I'm sure she'll be world famous in years to come.

Dear Julia, your interpretation of La Catedral, especially Allegro Solemne is by far the best one I've ever listened. The pace is just right, not too fast, not slow either. Most versions online are way too fast in my opinion. Your pauses for a breath between parts is very nice, I don't like people playing this piece as if they're rushing to finish. I've given up playing guitar since my college days. After listening this, I've started playing again, and just finished Allegro Solemne now! Thank you...

I think it's such a pity that there are a couple of negative and critical comments below made obviously by negative , spiteful and petty individuals who have nothing else to do but pour negativity over something so beautiful. This is a young girl who is obviously extremely talented playing a very technically demanding piece . I am also a guitarist and I would dream of playing to this level - it is fantastic and what an achievement for someone so young . I personally think the piece is interpreted beautifully and it is beautifully played . It is so depressing to see some comments below criticising this performance with apparent self-absorbed superiority picking holes in this to bring it down .. congratulations to you Julia on an outstanding performance and every success to you .

Bravisimo! Honestly, this is superlative... I've heard this performed by dozens, and this ranks among the very top. You not only played it at an engaging tempo, you nailed the feel.

I really appreciate this interpretation. Thank you for this video, indeed, enjoyed it. I believe that some critics here exaggerate when they state that it lacks understanding of the emotion / tempo of the parts. She has a strong basis that many young players miss: a fluent, rock solid classical rhythmic expression. A composition matures when played often. It reminds me of a master class with Julian Bream about the first prelude of Villa Lobos. Some students are so focused on the emotional expression of the lower melodic line that they completely ignore the strict rhythmic pattern of the upper strings (it remains Latin, you know). Playing something melancholic, romantic without drowning in too much rubato is not easy. John Williams does this quite well. Wonder how Julian Bream would have played this, but as far as I know there are no such recordings/video.
