CHICKEN NUGGETS INGREDIENTS:
2 lb of Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, cut into pieces
1 Egg
1/2 cup of Milk
Salt and Pepper to taste
1-1/4 cups of Flour
1 tsp of Onion Powder
1 tsp of Garlic Powder
1 tsp of Paprika
Light Olive Oil for shallow frying
For the dipping sauce:
1/2 cup of Mayo
1/4 cup of BBQ Sauce
2 Tbsp of Yellow Mustard
2 Tbsp of Honey
Dash of Apple Cider Vinegar
Salt to taste

I have that same Bowl set, one of my best buys of 2023 that's for sure, nice and light weight, color matching Tops, Microwave and Dishwasher Safe. The recipe looks great, there's (OPIMH) "other people in my house" that would love to have these, I would have added a squirt or two of Lemon Juice to the Milk/Egg bath though (for a Buttermilk thing). Imagine a Double Dunk into the Eggs and the Flour yum yum. I HATE frying in my Kitchen, so I'll move it outside on my Grill. Thanks for the Recipe.
The way that I do my chicken nuggets is I grind my chicken breast using the fine grinding plate. The I take the ground chicken breast and dust it with cornstarch and then I seasoned it with poultry seasoning then I divided and roll it into balls and then flatten the balls out and then dip it in the egg batter and the and dredge them in the plinko bread crumbs and then deep fry them until they float until the golden brown. They look like the chicken nuggets that you get from McDonald's or buy out of the grocery store they're much more better because they're homemade and you don't have to worry about any of the preservatives.

I wouldn’t do this in an air fryer. Theirs no breadcrumb coating so could result in a chewy end result with not much crispies

Can they be frozen and then reheated in microwave?
I’ve never done it but I do refrigerate them then pop them in the toaster oven (or air fryer would work)for about 7-8 min to reheat them

I wouldn’t because the flour needs fat to brown and crisp. It’s not the same process as a breadcrumb coating
I am going to try these with almond flour so they are low carb. I'll let you know how they turn out!

When you cut the chicken it seems so firm and easy to cut 'straight'. When i buy chicken breasts they are always much more floppy. Why is that?

Thanks so much for this recipe! I noticed in both the video and on the recipe online you listed the ingredient as “milk”. Is it buttermilk, whole milk, 2%, skim? Does it not matter?
Milk means whole milk unless otherwise stated. Frankly, buttermilk would be great here as well. It helps tenderize the chicken.

Why are the raw chicken breast different in color?
My sister and brother-in-law love making chicken (or veggie) nuggets with the kids. The breading stage is a mess 'cause they're still really young, but they love cooking with us and seeing what goes into their food! That's how my sister and I were raised (my dad was a chef) so we try to pass it on! But yeah, sometimes we get take out. No shame in that! 😊❤

Around 160 degrees using a digital thermometer. Make sure it’s also golden brown too
What sides are y’all going to make with this?
I pop curly fries in the oven (frozen because im not ashamed! Lol) and a veg if you must but sometimes unnecessary
Carrot sticks with ranch dressing dip will probably be decent

not to be that person, but extra light olive oil has a lot of chemicals in it! i know it also has different nutrients than other oils, but i would just be mindful ❤️ otherwise, this is totally going onto my to make list!
I love the way you used real chicken and didn't blend and try to remake it❤❤❤. This is how chicken nuggets is supposed to be. The sauce I make a different version that I use in my wraps. Mayo, Ketchup and Parsley Flakes butttttttt that BBQ sauce is a must try. Love you Laura all the way from 🇹🇹
What do you mean by blend? I've never heard of that term but then again I don't usually look for a chicken nuggets recipe as I have my own that my family loves. Google just shoved this video in my news feed I because I ran out of buttermilk the other day which I use in my nugget recipe for a more tender chicken, and lighter crunch.
@@AKLove-sl1yy the blend the chicken, with flour and spices and then mold it small rectangle or square. Some put egg and breadcrumbs also.
@@riaallick5092 thanks for the explanation I was thinking that maybe you were meaning some people used ground chicken and blend it in the flour and seasonings which I would think would not be really easy having to shape each nugget. I think cutting a real piece of chicken into chunks is probably a little faster especially if you use a good pair of kitchen scissors that can come apart to get washed easily.
I’m really not a fan of that method, I’d rather just make chicken meatballs if I had to do that lio
