every summer with my grandchildren I teach art, sewing, cooking class and we do charity work. We made your nugget recipe.We always vote and grade on ,ease ,looks and taste. At the end of summer they invite Mom and Dad to dinner and an Art show. It's a long ways to the end of summer but I have a feeling this is going to be the winner, thank you
I made homemade chicken nuggets last year they was so good. Taste better than store brands. You taste the real chicken in the nuggets when it's made from scratch.

I made these yesterday! Taste just like the real ones!!! (I made them in the air fryer) Sweet n sour sauce was delicious as well! Pretty close to the real one. (But I used passion fruit puree)

I tried this tonight. Things I wish I'd done: Freeze after shaping, use cold water and double fry. I think it would've been amazing. Still good, and the errors were from not paying attention. Thank you for sharing this recipe. I took a photo of them and they're pretty, but I can't post it on TH-cam. :-(
Have you tried freezing these after cooking to see how well they reheat? I would love to make these in bulk and freeze so we could have a few nugget lunches on standby :)

This recipe SMACKS I bought a 10 pound bag of chicken breast when the threat of a meat shortage was looking over the horizon... But then there was no meat shortage and I was stuck with 10 pounds of subpar chicken. I got through most of it but the last 2 pounds was just too depressing to even think about lol. Luckily, TH-cam recommended this video to me. Despite having no cornstarch, i threw it together, and, like I said before, it smacks. It's so good. McDonald's wish they could. Thanks for the recipe!!! I'm subbing right now!

I have been living off of a bite here of whatever is left on my kiddos plates, a protein shake there, boiled eggs, avocado toast and coffee.😬 After prepping, cooking, filming, editing, social media handles, cookbook and homeschool, I just want to hide in my closet and sleep. 😂 I will try to put something on the to do list to help you out. 😊
Since the original McDonalds recipe for the nuggies and the sauce is based off of a chinese/japanese method, when frying for the second time increase the oil temp to 375. This way, excess oil is driven out of the par-cooked nuggies leaving them extra crispy and not soaked in oil. Dont be afraid to sub half of the salt with MSG.
the original chicken mcnuggets recipe had dry curry powder.. that was why it became so popular because it combined well with the hot mustard, BBQ, and sweet n sour dipping sauces. double frying is more logical to me because I know they get their nuggets par cooked and frozen, so technically they twice fry it too

My grandma used to make "plum sauce" with just apricot jam and white vinegar. I loved it, and seeing this made me so happy!

You don't have to double fry, but if you want a McDonalds nugget, they're double fried, so do yourself the favor. Fry it twice.

The wet batter didn’t work for me it cause the nuggets to inflate and become bigger I tried again with dry batter and it worked perfectly
That’s because of the baking powder. Maybe you added too much baking powder in yours
