I still haven't found a single bad review regarding a Nintendo game. The level of care and polish they put in every game is unbelievable. Seriously how can someone even compare Nintendo with other producers? The quality here is suuuuper high!

The Luigi's mansion games are great and a good change of pace from the usual frantic action from a lot of modern games. They force you to slow down and think about the maps and puzzles

My gf got me a nintendo switch with this game on it. Imagine our surprise when we learned that we can play together as gooigy. We loved it. I give it a 10/10 for the couch multiplayer and a 8/10 as a single player game.
Gotta love that dog animation when he's getting sucked in and out.
the physics and simulation in this game is crazy
I got this game a few weeks ago and am far enough in it to say that it is an amazing game on the switch and probably one of my favorite video games of all time
There may be Boss Ghosts, but they're still not as fun to catch as Portrait Ghosts were. I loved sucking up the portrait ghosts in the first Luigi's Mansion and trying to get the big pearls out of them, and then going to the gallery to see if I earned the gold frame. They took that excitement out of this game. I still loved this game, but I'll forever wish the portrait ghosts were back. I want to earn those gold frames again.

This is actually my first Luigi’s mansion game I have never played the last two and I can say this is SO much freaking fun like no joke definitely buy this game

So is it worth getting this game for singleplayer? Now I'm introvert so I never do local multiplayer. I *can* do online multiplayer but after Splatoon 2 sometimes it's nice to take a break from online. How good is the singleplayer content alone?
The problem is the at the end of the game, it doesn't safe the win! Also it leaves you at the rooftop save so you can't collect the rest of the boos or gems, I also wanted to go into the collection myself and see king boo in it!
Finally, someone gets it. The Endgame SUCKS!!!

I'll be honest, I didnt like the writing in this review. It was just too much. Zion (zeon?)did a good job with the narration though. Anyway, Luigi's mansion is going to be a great game.

The script seems to be made with Alex's talking style in mind. I don't think there's anything wrong with the script or the narrator outside of a mismatch
I think the intro where he was explaining how it’s Alex’s review sounded very passive aggressive
I just don't think Zion is talented. I turn off all videos he makes. He may be a great guy, but I don't like watching him. He isn't good at his job.

Zion, I’m going to be honest, when you first came on the scene I was like.... “well... he’s no Alex”. But I have to admit, that now, when I load a Nintendo Life video and you are the voice or face of the video I’m genuinely thrilled. You had big boots to fill (which I’m sure even you will agree based on your incredibly honest video a few weeks back) but you have easily and seamlessly merged yourself in to one of the NL crew. I think your content is great, your script is spot on and your tone and delivery is also second to none. I think you deserve an awful lot of credit and the NL team made a great choice in choosing you to feature content on this channel. Keep up the good work sir, I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos and hearing your thoughts and I absolutely look forward to seeing more content from your good self... you thoroughly deserve the credit sir.

It was strange that Alex decided not to narrate this as there were places that matched his style such as discussing the lighting. Here’s an idea: have Zion write and narrate a review of a game.
After 3 games and a remake, Luigi is still scared of ghosts.
I suppose I'm a typical millennial. I grew up with Nintendo 64, dreamcast and later ps1, ps2, Xbox, Xbox 360, built a gaming pc , ps4, Nintendo switch etc. I've always loved video games. Give me violent shooters and give me cute innocent family friendly games I love them all. Playing this game last couple days has been reminding me of my childhood playing titles like donky kong 64 and super mario 64. Simple. Cartoonish and Hella fun

I like this review more than game explain and it’s not because he rated it higher it’s because Andre in game explain just kept comparing it to the first one which is overrated to me
Same! I feel like the first one is a bit overrated. The remake of the original made me replay the game, because it had an achievement system, but the Gamecube version was short and didn't really make me care for the game. It was Luigi's Mansion 2 that got me into the series in the first place and even though I played that before 1, the original still felt bland in comparison. Andre did compare it a bit too much to the original and put the game down for that, but I personally think that Luigi's Mansion 3 has raised the bar for the series. The first story didn't even have that much interesting arcs within itself.

The first one was great...for a launch title. The fact that you can beat it in an afternoon is a big deterrant but when I first played it when I was 12 or something, I loved it.
I hope you guys are right because I was really excited for this game but after watching Andre's review I have my reservations because his points seem valid. He said the music was forgettable which was one of the reasons I liked Dark Moon so much
The thing with the first game is that it arguably had a better overall vibe in terms of the music and atmosphere. And the portrait ghosts and their back story added to that. The second game did have interesting enemy types, and way more to explore, although the music and visuals were a bit meh imo. And I guess I’m one of the group of people who isn’t happy they went with dark moon’s vibe and atmosphere which feels very saturday cartoon-ish, as against dark and brooding. But from all the developer talks, and gameplay videos it seems they definitely tried to reach a balance between the first and second game in terms of exploration and enemies so I’ll give them that. I’m still going to get the game either way as it looks great to play, which is the most important thing.

I'm pretty bummed out that the music didn't get touched on at all. That was one of the things I was worried about the most because the second Luigi's mansion game didn't hold up to the original's soundtrack, but I won't fault someone for not caring about the soundtrack of a game as much as I do.

Philip Wybenga gamexplain is a great news source but terrible reviewers. Also have garbage takes and opinions just go on the their Twitter and be disappointed
Philip Wybenga they compare things way too much to other games and get a completely skewed balance with much more subjective than objective. You need both for a good review
@@Archway-9 then in this case this review was also heavily imbalanced with glowing positivity, not spending a single moment on regular combat or any shortcomings the game might have. A review is meant to be subjective, and if it's part of a series, contextualize the experience and mechanics. There is no such thing as an objective review.
Imo weakish combat isn't really a bummer, since I enjoyed dark moon, and really the only "fun" fights in the first game are the portrait ghosts.
The writing in the review wasn’t the best but was good all around. This review in general though was way better than GameXplain if I’m being honest.

Bought this yesterday and actually loved it. This is the first time I’ve played one of these games.
For someone who has 60 to carefully spend on a game would you recommend it. I'm considering either this or Pokemon but Pokemon is seeming meh after everything. I never played the first 2 but wanted too

This game honestly looks amazing and I can't wait to play it! The only thing I'm a bit disappointed about is that it runs at 30fps. I honestly expected this game to reach 60fps. But I doubt it'll really bother most people. I'll be picking it up as soon as I can

i cant wait to play this amazing game in the Switch of my Cousin and my future Switch with better battery life.
The combat is kind of a bummer, the slam should have some type of cool down, or like a "timing" thing like in BOTW when you can strongly attack an enemy from behind for a few seconds.
But the rest of the game is just full of charm
It looked like there was a cool down in one of the clips.
Besides the timing, I'm thinking slamming decreases your bar, so you can only use it when at least it is 51%, costs 50% bar, and randomizes enemy direction. Still theoretical, so dunno how it would actually work

It is a must own but no where close to sword/shield that should be everyone's priority. LM3 is on the back burner for me. Might wait a few months after I'm done with sheild

About 4 hours in and loving it so far. Haven't played the one on the DS but loved the first one on GameCube... this game is a great build up on the series 👍
I think it kinda hold my hand more than I'd like for it too, but I bet that'll quicky end when I get deeper into the game pass the borderline tutorial sections woven into the gameplay.
EDIT: Now if only they start on making a solid Wario game. Preferably a platformer but Wario ware had a social place in my heart as well.
This is a great game, the final boss is extremely hard though, and some puzzles in the game may have you stuck for literally days maybe even weeks lol I’m not even kidding. I remember 1 part of the game i could not figure out and was stuck for days trying to figure out what to do…I eventually turned to google and cheated lol. I had to because i was soooo frustrated I wasn’t able to even think straight and i knew I wasn’t gonna be able to figure it out by myself. If your wondering what part… its the level where you’re on a movie set… that level is SERIOUSLY HARD. There is no way any kid would be able to get past that level without any help. Im am adult and i play ALOT of video games and always have my entire life and i wasn’t able to figure out parts of that level. The developers definitely didn’t slack when making the levels hard to figure out.

I love Luigi's Mansion, but I honestly wouldn't buy it unless I had friends to play it with online. Obviously it's main function is the single player campaign, but personally, after I finish that, there's not much else for me to do (Besides each floor's gems this time around).
I still play Luigi's Mansion 2 every now and then with my friends just so we can play the Scarescraper mode because we loved it so much. Every single time we played felt like a slightly unique experience (Except Polterpup, which is 100% chance of crying yourself to sleep finding and catching that doggo)
Kirby Hypno ehh haven’t played it yet but I really depends on how good the story is. I think it being pretty linear is a huge disadvantage. The original was so good it’s one of those games you can beat then play again a year later and it still feels fresh
Surprised the game runs at 30 FPS. Kinda odd for a Nintendo Switch game. (Yes, I know not all games for Switch run at 60) I’m guessing that the smooth animation and lighting is an illusion to make the game seem like it’s running at 60. It still is a beautiful game.

Gameplay doesn‘t really sell me. But it may work out in a linear environment with very interesting and beautiful set pieces. Could be a fun game for a weekend.

Replayability: non existent
It took me two days to find all the gems on all the floors and it was just too easy for me and for me dark moon was my favorite the replayability is still non existent but It was challenging for me at least and it took me a few months to complete it. The scarescraper is irritating to manage and when I beat king boo I was left with an empty feeling wishing for more that's just my thoughts though what do you think?
I'm sorry to be a bother but I do have one suggestion, whenever it's not Alex doing the review, could he still do the "Hello there lovely people!" please? Like I clicked on this video partly because I wanted a review of Luigi's mansion, but also because I wanted to be called a lovely person, and now I am a bit lost and sad.
