Thank you for sharing your real journey and progress. It is inspiring to see the progress of adults. I started just before my 40th birthday and progress has been very slow but rewarding. Keep it up and never quit. Focus on one aspect at a time. Try looking up more and not straight down at the ice.

Haha, yes, my instructors are always yelling at me to stop looking at the ice too! I'm so relieved to hear other adults also have a similar progress pace as me. :) It is definitely rewarding, and I try to accept every small accomplishment!

You are very sure footed. And studiously attacking each movement. I hope your coach told you to keep your head up. Once you can keep your head up, your posture will improve which give you a big jump in improvement. You’ll be amazed at the improvement you’ll see just my keeping your head up. You’re doing great.

Thanks! Yes, my instructors are always telling me to stop looking down at the ice! I have to remind myself each time I practice on my own!

You really do have the moves and look stable enough to put more speed and to move to next progressions!

Don't look at the ice. It's not going anywhere. Looking down makes you unbalanced. I know it's hard but trust your body to know what it's doing.
