The gamestop stores in my area have not been displaying older generation games for about a year now. They don't seem to thrilled about having to print out list either..
@@keithkelso9872 After watching more of his content, I’d agree. Watched some episodes where he went around conventions, before they were open to the public. Buying up all the deals, which is pretty greasy.
I understand its GAMEstop but, them transitioning to a lot more collectibles has been great for my reselling adventures. Especially when something gets clearance down to like $5
As a long time collector it's slim pickings here. Resellers have wiped the shelves clean in my area. Looks like they're putting themselves out of business. They've bought everything they could make a buck off of. One store in my area has high end games marked double what they go for on ebay.
Both game stops in my town don't put out the older games anymore. They have all the PS3, Wii, 360 in the drawers and you have to ask for a list as of 2022.
I remember a time when gamestop didn't mark up based on secondary market value so you had a chance at getting a game for a decent price. Now they are just selling fakes for $80 and don't care. That second store you went to, those are the lazy owners I am used to...just throw it all on the shelf and mark it up to ebay prices regardless of condition and also don't check or care if correct game or game at all is in the case. My local pawn shop has discs stolen all the time, they need to put them behind the counter
Really cool seeing places I'm familiar with. My eye doctor is next to the CD game exchange and just a couple weeks ago I had checked out the game n groove after going to that arcade next door.
Been following you and other resellers for a while and dipping my toes in the deep end as of yesterday. Obtained a rather large PS3 collection With several of the top dollar titles. I'm to put the work in and make some money.
I don't know how you deal with the beep that the ebay scanner makes every time it always makes me so anxious in an empty store because it's so loud. Lmao.
Besides the lower qty on the Wii U Amazing Spider-Man, the other reason it's so coveted is it having all the DLC on disc. As with all Activision Spidey titles, they've also been digitally delisted.
A week or so ago, GameStop had a buy 5 games $4.99 or less for $10. Pretty good deal at $2 a piece, so I went searching for PS3 and XBOX 360 games mostly. One employee told me their store plans don't call for having them out (this guy actually found a nook and kept them out). Where they didn't have them out, I asked to get the list like you did, but how many people are going to do that? Those games are going to mostly just sit there and rot. Makes no sense.
Haven’t watched the video yet but funny story I remember trading in a game at gamestop that launched with the switch 1-2 and three months or something later I was able to 40 dollars store Credit. Even the worker asked how long has this game been out 😂 then the next day I looked up the store credit for it and it went down to 20
glad to see you've experienced the horrendous pawn shops that are in cincy. tried to negotiate on that Pokémon ranger about a month ago. Dude would not budge lol
Seems about right for the Cincinnati area pawn shops. My wife and I go almost every weekend and don't find too terribly much. A few of them we just don't go to as they never have anything worth while.
@@markh1358 I live nearby and haven't seen any pawn shops in Taylor mill. Most of the ones in Kentucky Individually price games anymore so I just go to Ohio.
Hey Caleb! Love the content you always bring for your viewers, keep up the good work! I was also curious, do you by chance have a playlist of the background music you use, provided for your video? Some of it is really catchy, makes me think they're all from video games.
I remember a past video where the pawn shop owners were searching ebay before they would name a price and you were bewildered. But don't you do the same before buying a game to get an idea what its worth is? Everyone is out there chasing the same nickel. Pawn shops (owners) are the sleaziest places (people) on Earth and just shy of second to car salesman for least trustworthy people.

Are you going to the too many games convention October 8-10 in Philly? I’ll be going on Sunday the last day. It’s my first game convention! I’ll probably bring a box of PS3 and Wii games in case you or any vendors there want to buy or trade. You can make a video of you buying my games if you want lol 😁
So The Sinking City might be a low risk, high reward investment opportunity. The developer & publisher of that game from the PS4/XB1 era had a very messy falling out over the last 3 years, & the developer finally got the rights back to their games, but they don’t have the resources to make physical PS5/XSX copies of their updated game. So the existing PS4/XB1 copies will be the only way to own that game physically, & that version can never be reprinted. It might be worth a flyer for when people trying to get complete PS4/XB1 collections going.
I am so confused every time I watch these videos. They are highly enjoyable but in comparison to the Uk the prices are way too high. A lot of the time games are between 2-7 times more expensive than in the uk sometimes even 10 times. Are these prices the norm in the Us?
North American region game stuff is way more pricey just the way it is alot of collectors this way I guess if I was doing my collection in other regions it would be dirt cheap
Good stuff. Question though: So on something like Shawn the Sheep for example… if you send it in at the higher price to Amazon and then a month or two later the price drops to that new price you mentioned around $28 on eBay, are you going to remember to keep tabs and change your prices on these games? I can imagine that would be overwhelming with several thousands of games on Amazon. Can you share your approach with this? For me I hardly have an opportunity to reprice because it’s overwhelming so some of my items get sent back after being on Amazon for a year or destroyed. I found eBay it’s easier to modify the price if you recognize items have been sitting a bit too long.
There is software available that will automatically adjust pricing based on manual or automatic parameters. If you are moving hundreds to thousands of items monthly tools like these are critical to your business.
