- I buy a lot of stuff from GameStop. Like, A LOT of stuff. One of the perks of that is getting a lot of rewards points. Like, A LOT of rewards points. This video is about taking those points and flipping what I get from GameStop to purchase an item I've been dreaming about for some time: the Dragon Quest Edition Switch.

That bidding last minute is the best strategy ebay wise. I learnt it the hard way once on a case xx. Now I bid the last 10 seconds every auction! 🤷🏻♂️ another reason is I often bid on things and change my mind after winning so doing it last minute is the best way to make myself follow thru lol
Awesome pickup man! I used to own mint cib copies of Snatcher, Popuful Mail, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Magic Knight Rayearth, Keio Flying Squadron, Crusader of Centy, Chrono Trigger, and more rpgs for snes, saturn, Genesis, cib collections of 3do and 32x, etc ... But sold everything 😭
Now my grail is a sealed Zelda Wii U console. Not quite as good, but still happy with it.

Cool video, Caleb! I completely agree with you about buying something that makes you happy! I just recently spent $800 on a pair of shoes, something I always said I wouldn't do, but they were a grail of mine and a shoe that I've wanted for years! Nothing wrong with spending money on something materialistic every now and then.

Yep, the 8 hours was still necessary though because my points were all tied up in unusable coupons
For some reason Dragon Quest makes me so emotional. Holding that switch and controller would no doubt make me burst into tears

I used to work at a travel agency where you could only use 200 dollars in value when exchaging promotional points and only on each purchase, so most likely game stop has a similar limitation.

I recently did a shell swaps to make a diablo and s monster hunter edition switches but that's crazy i had no idea my dragon quest edition was worth that much. Makes me appriate it more

Recently started watching your videos and I've been inspired to do some resale of my own. I've been in and out of game exchange about as much as the employees have and I happened across the metroid prime trilogy in the most mint condition possible the day it hit the shelf. Not nearly the most valuable game in the Nintendo collection but by far the most beautiful. Good stuff here man.
I think my jewel, even if it's not that expensive is a complete perfect copy of Nightmare Busters for SNES

Well I would say that my holy grail collection piece I own is a copy of teenage mutant ninja turtles Turtles against H.A.T.E. Dvd that I have seen a few sold listings ranging between $90 and $280! Which I believe I technically got it for free because I got it in a huge lot for $70 and sold pretty much everything I didn’t need for about $20 more then what I paid for the lot!

@@PhoenixResale what made it a pretty awesome score was the fact that I found it on Mercari! The disk did need to be resurfaced a little bit because it was either dirty or had very lite surface scratches because it did skip a little on the 1st episode of the disk but now it plays perfectly with no issues! So have you ever found some amazing deals on Mercari for either your personal collection or resell?

I finally bought Panzer Dragoon Saga for the Saturn. I always wanted that game but I waited because they wanted a $100 for a sealed copy in 2002. I ended buying a loose copy for $250 a few years ago.

Great work. I do bits of buying and selling but mainly console's. I bought a backwards compatible ps3 for £40 with 3 games. Flap was missing of it. I had a ylod ps3 sitting about so took the flap of it and put it on that 1. Sold yhe console for £100 a couple days later and traded the games in for £5. So £65 profit. Will put that towards my xbox mini fridge. Paid £20 deposit already so only got to put £5 to it now

That Switch isn’t worth $900 the big deal is the box not the console if you compare the dragon quest 11 to the PS4 dragon quest 11 the PS4 is all blue it looks like dragon quest 11 the joy cons is what’s different you can just buy the joy cons separate and put them on any other switch you won’t be able to tell the difference if you wanted a dragon quest X1 console your should of bought the PS4 one the problem just it’s not a pro
