To everyone out there who may be struggling with this, my message is rather short: don't worry. I have been struggling with ectopic heartbeats for the whole summer, and it even came to a point where I would be apprehensive of going outside, knowing that my heart would produce that awful sensation. In October, we decided to adopt a cat, which we did. Funnily enough, ever since that cat to my life, all the issues that I was struggling with disappeared. I no longer have those sensations and even if I do, they go unnoticed like they usually do. The point is that if you are a healthy fit person, you should quit googling your symptoms, as it can later lead to panic attacks. For what it's worth, I had the same sensations four years ago when I was first admitted to the university. I told my parents that I was experiencing irregular heart beats, so they took me to a cardiologist who assured me that there was nothing to worry about and that it was all due to stress that I was getting from my studies. All you have got to do now is to try to relax.
@@jyotipandey5010 I get dizzy when I don’t have enough magnesium and mineral or spring water in my system try those and let us know if it helped. I been getting skipping heartbeats that’s why I’m On here. I seem to get them every time I’ve been going through really emotional stuff which has been a big part of my life lately and also get them when I’m dehydrated. Hopefully things calm down for good in my life I’ve found myself crying a lot this year it’s been rough.
The best way I can describe it is like when you go down a hill on a roller coaster and your stomach drops for a split second, but it somewhat lingers for a few seconds and makes me feel super aware of my heartbeat.
Yea like butterflies adrenaline feeling for few secs I know what you mean and I feel my heart doing that too and takes my breath away for a sec. Only happens when I’ve been really atressed
Thank you for this. My life has been miserable since December. I’ve gotten them off and on over and over and I’ve literally gotten down on my knees begging God to get my life back to normal. I ended up on this video and I feel so much better.
Why can't you be my personal cardiologist! I love mine don't get me wrong but you have a way of explaining these things and you are so reassuring! Thank you so much for making these videos!
Same, I wore a 24 hour holter and recorded 7000 PVC’s might cardiologist said it was the highest he had seen all year (11mths at that stage) got me very worried
I just turned 30 and bam out of nowhere. Been going on for a month and haven't been living my life which is heavily built around physical activity and sports. Wish they would go away. Hope you get better.
I've been suffering from anxiety and ectopics for 2 years now and sometimes I get terrfied and feel like I'm not going to wake back up, words cannot explain how hard it has been. I have been told they are harmless and had the scans but as you mentioned Its still easy to worry. Thank you for these videos, they really do help.
I've been suffering from Pvcs, the doctors have assured me they are normal. Although I'm overweight, and have diabetes, they assured me that they are harmless. I began to take magnesium taurate, which I've seen Dr. Gupta has mentioned in other videos, it gas minimized my irregular heart beats and flutters, but they don't come often.
I just want to thank you for doing these videos. They have truly helped me in dealing with my ectopic beats. I was surprised at how common they are and how little a problem they present to most people. It certainly felt like a matter of life or death when I first started getting them, and my gp and cardiologist never explained anything other than they were benign. I think the fear is what makes them so unbearable, and your videos will help reassure so many people. You're doing a great service.
Elextoon: I understand your concern. I wish we didn't have to experience these because they're debilitating to me due to the fact I have chronic anxiety and so my doc says is most likely the cause. I hate to leave home due to these and my doctor understands my issue and I'm thankful he hasn't put me aside as a mental case. lol. It's not fun. Good info here.
Through the years I've taken magnesium and they got rid of the heart palpitations and the thumping that happens to me but that's rare and a lot of mine is brought on from anxiety and depression and loneliness and worry and things like that that most people battle every hour of every day. You are the most amazing doctor I've ever have been honored to listen to thank you so much for your knowledge in your expertise.
Thank you, your videos are very, very good. Easy to understand. You are the first person to explain that if you have structurally sound heart then ectopic beats are not dangerous. I had a echo and they stated this, but these little hiccups are still a worry when they arrive out of the blue! Again, thanks for your time to record these videos.
@@YorkCardiology Hey doc. 30y/o male play sports all my life, run a mile almost everyday and lift weights. Eat pretty healthy and bam these arose out of nowhere. Been seen by and admitted and cleared but still happens. Im a firefighter and scared to get back out there
I'm a nursing student and I've learned about ectopic heart beats, but I never realized I had one until recently. My heart will skip a beat about every 20 to 60 seconds. It will then make a stronger beat, and then feel like it is trying to catch up with itself. I will periodically be able to feel my heart thud in my chest. I've never had any problems with it and I never really sat down to listen to my heart with a stethescope Very weird and surreal being able to hear something I've learned about in school happen to myself.
Wow i know you made this video 7 years ago, but ive been suffering with ectopics and this has really put my mind at ease and understand more. Thank you
How often do you get ectopics? I've had them almost constantly for the past three days. Seems to happen to me every several months. And they suck for sure
I’m so grateful that I found your channel. I’ve been suffering ectopic heartbeats every now and then and now i know that its totally harmless as I have it waaay less than 1000 skipped beats a day. I also found that my gastric problem cause this palpitation from one of your vid, and currently i’m on my PPI therapy. Thanks a lot! Your vids surely bring a peace of mind to lots of people
@@atiyakousarhongal7473 Yup. For example, I went into the ER with a heart rate of 143 as well as dangerously high blood pressure. My lips were white and my hands and feet were cold and pale. Docs discovered I had an ulcer that was causing me to bleed internally. I had to have a blood transfusion because my blood count was 6.3 which is considered life threatening (normal is between 12 and 15). When you are continuously losing blood from your body, you heart has to work overtime to get enough blood to the rest of your body. This can cause heart trouble, especially if it goes untreated.
Great video thank you. Mine started over a week ago. Scared the daylights out of me, hearing you talk about at rest vs active was really useful as every time they've popped up I've been relaxing.
Thank you for these videos, they have been a great help. My ectopic beats started (or I was aware of them) at the beginning of September this year; I had two personal problems back then, I must say I am usually quite anxious and I have obsessive thinking. At first, the ectopic beats were continuous, maybe 10 or more per minute and lasted for hours, maybe half a day. A little later it became somewhat constant, but perhaps one ectopic beat every 8 or 9 regular beats. About a month ago the problem stabilized and it was only noticeable before I went to bed, while I was reading and maybe after a meal. But since yesterday it has become something of 12, even 24 hours again, I have even notice I have just ectopic beats instead or normal ones! (I forgot to mention that they are the kind of the "lost beat"), in a continuous way. This was cut off with the help of a quarter of Valium. Anyway, maybe I will see a specialist, the problem is one of great discomfort and is an engine of a vicious circle of distress. I mention the Valium because in my case I'm positive that my ectopics are related to anxiety, even the simple fact of thinking about something that worries me, and now with the coronavirus there are too many things to worry about, the media does a great job! that single thought triggers the process. I binge weekends and that also serves to keep the ectopics away until Sunday, they simply disappear. Of course I tried to cut off the binge, and I did it for about a month, but that did not make any good, perhaps I should be more persistent in the future. To all those who suffer from this, my sympathy and best wishes for you to overcome this curse.
Same . Just got bunch of test and they said it would be worse if it was the opposite. Sometimes it feels like a fainted one and gets lower and feels like I’m dying
Carol you wont notice these skipped beats while running, the 2 main causes are stress and also a electrolyte imbalance meaning your magnesium / Potassium levels are low which control heart Rhythm if you are not experiencing dizziness, shortness of breath, nausea on a regular basis dont worry. Take a Magnesium tablet because it will control your heart beat also potassium so a Banana once or twice a day dont worry they are common.
Carol Take a vit B complex with a Magnesium supplement these 2 absorb each other the B vitamins maintain a healthy nervous system while Magnesium is calming it controls muscle function and importantly heart Rhythm.
Oh my goodness, this is so helpful. I just had an ECG due to feeling irregular heart beats. It came back showing benign EP topic heart beats, however I was still concerned and started to think they were getting worse. Your explanation makes complete sense. Thank you so much!!!
My ekg showed skipped beats. Echo was good and stress test ok. Even so I developed anxiety. 6 trips to the emergency room in two months. Finally after 9 months I'm getting back to normal.
Iv just been diagnosed with ectopic beats, now I'm suppose to have a scan of heart, but the cardiologist wasn't worried, but because I missed my appointment, will have the scan and if only my dr explained how you are explaining very thoroughly indeed!
hi I'm 52 and have been suffering with these since I was 19 it has always scared me and now I look back and have wasted all those years worring. but they make you feel horrible specially when they come out of no where if had a 24 hr thing on but never had a skip beat while wearing it . its so annoying. I've had echo done stress test all normal but it still happens and I'm still scared. what a waste if a life 30 years of worry and depression thank u for reading
MANDY SCOTT am 40 years old and i have exactly same problems. Many doctors said nothing wrong. Do sports (cardio) and everything is fine. But my heart still have extras and its extremely annoying. But if it happens very often u can have heart failure thats why keep visiting doctor regularly
I've had them for about 30 years, on and off. Supraventricular ectopics, apparently. Flecainide sorted them for a couple of years but now they are getting really bad again. I've just bought a Kardia monitor, so at least I can ecg at home and print off results to show doctors - they never happen if they ecg for a few seconds at the surgery. I had an implanted monitor until last year which did catch them, but as I said, they are getting worse and it's pretty terrifying when it's happening.
Can you explain your symptoms because I been having them for almost two year and every time I feel them gets me very scare because it feels like your blood stops flowing lightheaded and a little bit of sweating but is just when it happens like a second or two depending on how many times it skips a beat.
@@juansalgado8403 i had a 3-4 day EKG and it showed 70,000 so that’s around 20,000 a day. I can feel them, there constant. I also check them on an apple watch which at first i didn’t think was accurate bc there was so many (until i got the ekg)
One month before I went to a cardiologist he made ECG and test and he said to me that everything good with my heart the screen showed that my heart pumping very well , I went to cardiologist because one of my friend died by heart attack and 4 months ago , and really this entered me in a loop and all this years was so anxious and stressful and depressed and the death of my friend was a shock to me, and about 3 weeks ago I was so much stressful and anxious and I was arguing with someone , and was angry, in the night of that same day , I felt this pvcs for the first time , and here we goo start happen to me everyday 3 until 5 time of pvcs in a day , and this happen to me ax’s rly between the time when my rate of my heart a little high for example walking or doing something and while the rate of my heart wanted to slow down , exactly when I’m laying down , sometimes this pvcs came in a row while I’m resting , I have really so much anxiety and so much stressful worry all the time about my heart and other diseases, checking the sensation of my bidet if there is any symptoms , can’t sleep normally like people , panic attack sometimes , several time going to hospital , thinking that I’m going to die , , don’t know if I should go back to the cardiologist, even I saw him just last mounts, or this is just because of my anxiety and stress and I think even I have depression , no energy, afraid to go exercise , even I was a soccer player , while my life was an athlete, was running 2 hours without stop, but those 3 years my life flipped up down , I’m just 27 years old , but holding on my back a big responsibility , I don’t know , my life turned 360 degrees, anyway who read this, thank you for taking this time reading it, and wish you the good health, and patience is a solution for whom doesnt has any solution :)))
@@Tri_sanu actually they’ve gotten a lot better! I found they were very anxiety induced and once I managed that they almost completely went away. They still happen sometimes but knowing they’re not harmful really helps.
I’m 22, and have 20,000 ectopic heart beats every single day. An abnormal ekg came back 5 years ago but it was not looked into enough. I’ve always had a fast heart rate but recently it’s gotten worse resulting in 2 ER visits. Going as high as 165 at rest - I am extmeeley worried for my health but am trying to stay strong. It never ends for me. It’s constant, 247. I recently had a procedure that I’m sure exaserbated the ectopics even more. I did not know I had ectopics before I chose to go through with this procedure and wish I knew beforehand bc they’ve only gotten WORSE since after I had that done 2 months ago. I really appreciate your resources and videos. I watch them when I get scared
I’m 38 Ive been suffering from this for as long as I can remember. I’m also B- blood type, no idea if there is a correlation, I remember my pediatrician telling my grandmother that I had a heart murmur when I was a child and that it could go away with age, but it never did. They do seem to happen more when I’m at rest. Its what prompted me to search this up. I usually feel this flutter or thump in the left side of my throat. It does seem to be getting worse , they don’t happen everyday but I can tell they are worse at certain times in my life, especially if I’m stressed or sick. I lose my breath quite quickly even if I hardly exert myself. I do have a feeling that my lifestyle could be making things worse. And I want to start exercising more if it won’t worsen things. I really feel fortunate to have found your videos. I was laying in bed everything was pretty much fine then that happens and it’s so startling, this time it was a bit worse than it usually is and seemed to linger a bit longer. Its just so frightening. Again, thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much. I wish I had discovered these videos years ago. I’ve been to many cardiologist and none of them have been able to tell me what my palpitations are or how to deal with them. Now that I’ve watched your videos I have clear understanding and can sleep well at night!!!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for your support- it would mean a tonne if you’d consider subscribing to the channel. Also I try and do some regular broadcasts via WhatsApp on +44795131008
I've had PVC's for over 20 years, getting progressively worse as I got older (63 now). Two weeks ago I gave up eating any kind of sugar/honey/sweeteners and my PVC's have improved probably 75%, almost immediately. I had tried magnesium- didn't help at all. But giving up sugar seems to be making a big difference. Might be worth giving that a try if you are frustrated with PVC's as I was.
When mine does it i always think I'm gonna die Its like... Me: Shooting hoops My heart: loading.... THUMP BA BAB AB BA ba dump ba dump ba dump Me: haha i win this round Kobe: But did you?

Thanks Dr. Gupta for your very informative video. In essence if one has a strong heart, then not to worry of ectopic heart beat. Strong heart means ejection of 60 per cent which will be revealed by ECHO CARDIOGRAPHY.
Very well explained doc. The best answer i ever got to my querry mind on ectopic and palpitations. you're such a young and brilliant card. Thanks for your time doctor!
Its tricky with the exercise, because i get more when i exercise in cause of the increased fear of getting them while having a high pulse. Anxiety is crazy!
Hi ive had a heart flutter since i was teenager. I still get them now at the age of 34. They can be very scary at times because they can happen when you least expect it. Im a healthy 21 year old and recently got told I have an irregular heartbeat, I have a strong heart though. Im getting a holtor monitor and ill be sure to get the other tests you mentioned because it is upsetting even though they said Im fine from the 1 minute EKG. Thanks Doctor! I just got diagnosed with this last week, and it's been constant every couple seconds for 8 days. I'm only 36 and tried everything at home to fix it. Quit caffeine, lowered my stress, no help. Getting a Zio heart patch now.
Thank you for this information... I've had this problem for about 5-6 years now. I am currently 30 years old, I don't recall having this issue when i was young, but in my early to mid 20's, I started having Ectopic episodes once in a while.. I was very obese and heavy an thought maybe being over weight was the cause, so I decided to do something about it. To date, I exercise 4-5x a week, and it did help... somewhat. But I still have it, it still happens once it a while... averaging 5x or less a day, lasting no longer than a minute... then returning back to normal. But today was the most I've had Ectopics in a ever... I lost count but I've had it for nearly 6-7hrs randomly every minute to once every 5 minutes. I don't drink coffee, or caffeine, as I ruled those out being bad for your heart. I grabbed a stethoscope, as I was always curious to what happens with my heart as it happens but never could catch it... Just now as I listen, when it happens I hear my heart stop, then i get large pounds slowly *thump, thump* sometimes 3 thumps in a row, then goes back to normal... during every thump, Id feel week, light headed.. as if I'm out of breath. I knew i had some abnormal heart beat for sometime, but never knew what it was actually called... I should have seen a Doctor sooner, but I always brushed it off due to it going away... an thought I was just too stressed. Now that i found this video, it has helped me a lot, I'm going to see a cardiologist.
Sounds like a flutter or to me. I get the same thing and have for 20 years as I mentioned above. My echo and stress test were normal again as they were in 2004. I was put on Atenolol in 1997 for it because nothing showing on the holter monitor. It actually doesn't stop them but reduces the frequency so you don't feel it as strong. Hopefully everything was good with your visit.
@@KiJiHoon I have episodes once in a while. It's AFib. But I'm on Lisinopril low dose. An I take L-arginine daily. I rarely notice anything anymore, it's mostly normal. But every so often, maybe twice a month I'd get an episode. Definitely not as often as it used to be.
Thank you for explaining ectopic beats, My cardiologist never explains in a way that I understand and stops my fears,, My heart is good on the echo cardiogram but the ectopics scare me so thank you for taking your time to do this TH-cam video and other videos
This was very useful as I suffer from these. was on betta blockers but side affect of nightmares was not nice. Now on Diliazem and they have abated the ectopics to some degree.Thank you for your clip.
I am getting them every day and they don’t bother me much during the day but when I go to bed I can really feel them! Been going on for about 6 months now and it’s scaring me. I’m seeing a cardiologist soon for a check up. A quick GP ECG didn’t show them. Blood pressure normal. Not sure why these are happening. I’m 67 and usually very fit and healthy. You have described exactly what happens. Thank you for this information. It is invaluable to me.
It is scary. I had mine for over five years. That is until, a few years ago when I got rid of them. It was a long journey, but I cam through the otherside.
What would a cardiologist's opinion be on a patient with Mitral Valve Prolapse having ectopic beats? I've heard yes and no about MVP being a "different kind of normal," So one being diagnosed with MVP, would they be considered to have a "structurally normal heart," (other words, not something to worry about) or could ectopics with MVP become/be a problem?
I suffer from these randomly sometimes a few a day sometimes one every couple days. Sometimes they make me feel slightly dizzy for a moment or I’ll feel a thud and almost like my stomach drops. I usually have them at rest and it causes my anxiety to go nuts. I’ve had an echo stress test all is normal and a holter all is normal. Neither result made them any less startling to have. I cried watching this, I am so glad for you and this information. I felt as though I wasn’t being heard or they were blaming anxiety. I’ve been taking magnesium and that seems to help as well. I have IBS and often wonder if there is a correlation between them. Thanks for the information, you’re so appreciated for it.
Anxiety probably triggers that sometimes. Bad eating habbits maybe. After all the crazy chemotherapies Ive had, its a wonder my heart beats at all 😂❤😅 whew! 😂 your videos are awesome! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎉 ❤❤❤❤❤ Thankyou, sweet man! 😊
I've been getting them for about a week now.. I've had them before (10yrs ago) over a few days these videos have been quite educational and helpful.. I've been motivated to start making changes to my diet and activity levels.. I also know a cardiologist so will definitely have a chat.
Ectopic beats are horrible for sure, especially when your heart is thumping a bit fast. Only those of us that have had it know the awful feeling they produce. They do create a lot of anxiousness which makes the problem worse. Mine started happening when I was about in my early 30s. Had it for about 30 years now and I’m still around! Sometimes I find if I eat certain foods my heart speeds up and then they start. So all I can say is, don’t let your heart scare you
I had this twice in span of 4 years, and both the times because of heavy pressure in stomach due to gas and constipation in morning when I got up, and it went off when I did a brisk walk, First time I did ECG, 2D ECHO, which all were absolutely normal.
Had the same question. Mine gets more pronounced after exercise. After 5 minutes feels like it stops longer than normal. Then the ectopics are more frequent. Sleep for me resets it.
Thank you for your video I saw my doctor to day after I had my ecg she checked my blood pressure she said very good then got the printed copy and said I have topic beats nod said it is not dangerous no nothing to worry after seeing your video I feel better thanks
I have been told at the ER that they think I have SVT all my test were normal besides my heart beating at 168 for 30 minutes I have to go see a cardiologist but I’m so scared I’m going to die from this but I’m scared I’m going to die if I get surgery as well Every time I have an ectopic beat it scared it’s the end This feels like a death sentence

I am 47 years old, 1.74m x 68kg, I don't smoke, I don't drink alcohol, I eat quite healthy and I usually bike 150Km / week, 10Km / week running. I consulted a cardiologist because a month ago "a sensation of strange movement on the side of the heart" appeared and that even at times it seems to be touching the esophagus. This happens ONLY in moments of low pulsations, that is to say when one is relaxed ... before going to sleep ... watching a movie on the couch. The cardiologist very confidently diagnosed "typical symptoms of extrasystoles." He sent me to do an EKG and ECO cardiac color Doppler, Complete blood count / Hepatogram / protein-gram, B12, Iron, cholesterol, etc, which were normal. The Dr ruled that "a healthy heart" is not a cause for concern and that I try not to give it any importance, unless they are extremely frequent, which is not my case today. I wonder: Do I need to do more study, or am I sticking with my gymnastics pace despite these sporadic "weird" beats that occur at rest? They don't happen every day, sometimes 2 ... 3 appear. days in a row and then 2 ... 3. days are not. I do not have Neither tiredness, nor dizziness, nor fatigue. Chest pain, I had only a couple of days in the beginning but it was very mild and I attribute it to the fear/uncertainty/anxiety produced by this sensation never before perceived in my body. Best regards.
Hey, if you're still suffering from these, try taking a full tablespoon of "Feroglobin" it's a vitamin medicine taken through the mouth and does not require a doctor prescription, it took away my ectopic beats completely, I used it for a week, I'm guessing it was a vitamin deficiency or something.
I've had this for years but I'm 53 now. They're causing tiredness, shortness of breath, some swelling in my face, headaches, etc. My ecg is always good, but I also have pulsatile tinnitus with wooshing sounds. This is driving me NUTS. It is now effecting my life.
Terri I’m 50 have same problem. 7000 PVC’s in 24hr holter. I get the shortness of breath, headaches, tinnitus too. Don’t know if they are related to the PVC’s or if the shortness of breath with strange feeling in center of chest is caused by the ectopics or if it’s just asthma or GERD - which I might have
Beatroot Beatroot Beatroot I experienced an ectopic heartbeat for 4 months and was adviced on TH-cam to take beatroot. I took it for only 2weeks and i have a normal heartbeat now ❤
I developed ectopic beats 4 years ago, missing perhaps one beat per 12 beats. Then 8 months ago I suffered my first SVT. (Diagnosed as AVNRT). The ectopic beats also increased in frequency. I went on to experience a total of 34 SVT’s over the subsequent months. (I even recorded one SVT in the act of resolving back to sinus rhythm on my Apple6 watch!). But by carefully noting what bodily actions appeared to ward off threatened SVT’s, I developed a daily breathing protocol. Over the next few months the incidence of both SVT’s and ectopic beats reduced, and my resting pulse (which had been quite low all my life) rose by 20%. I have had no ectopics and no SVT’s for the last 12 weeks. (My cardiologist seems confused, I am very happy!).
Hello doctor. Thanks for your crystal clear explanation. My aunt got diagnosed to have ectopics. Ventricular bigemini. Our cardiologist. Didn't say anything except wrote a betablocker and sent us home. We were worried😣 your video was encouraging as well as orientation was so good. She has a EF of 75 percent. Age 59. Echo cardiogram showed grade one diastolic dysfunction. 24 hour ECG 20 average missed beats. Ventricular bigemini. Planned to do stress test. She has sign of syncope after 9 pm IST. Post working hours. Has sign of fatigue. Palpitations. Breathless. Sigh breaths.. Sleep less more than 5 years. Do share your opinion.
You break down information so well. You're patients are very lucky to have you. I do have a question about ectopic heart beats and sleep apnea. Is there any correlation? I suffer from sleep apnea, and recently had another sleep study because I feel like my CPAP is not working for me anymore. Plus... I have been trying to loose weight and I am down 40 lbs. I would assume symptoms of my sleep apnea would improve with weight loss. I often wake up from what feels like a thud in my chest which I am thinking is an ectopic heartbeat. But it's hard to tell, maybe I stopped breathing from the apnea. I dunno. My recent sleep study evidently went well and they said CPAP seems to work well with me. I feel like I wasn't having those symptoms during the sleep study... of course 🙄. I am scared I have a CHF or perhaps my heart is on it's way to developing CHF. I'm in my early 40s and feel like the cardiologists I've seen just tell me it's probably stress and sleep apnea. I dunno. Thoughts?

So, what about soft plaques? A CAC scan is useless when it comes to measuring soft vulnerable plaques and those are the plaques that rupture and cause heart attack and stroke in a majority of cases. Calcified plaques are stable unless there is severe inflammation and even then, it would be the soft plaques that are more of concern. Oh, BTW, I am a functional medicine practitioner with over 30 years of practice.
@@Total_Body_Fitness_USA Based on the statistics above, and chatgpt, and that I've read that the vast majority of deadly ruptured plaques are from deeply narrowed arteries, I would guess that severe narrowing always comes with high cac scores, but that the ruptured sections happen to be ones with non calcified plaque (which then cause downstream problems because the calcified sections are so narrowed)
So great you are feeling better.

I was surprised at how common they are and how little a problem they present to most people. It certainly felt like a matter of life or death when I first started getting them, and my gp and cardiologist never explained anything other than they were benign.
This has truly been the most helpful and reassuring video I have ever seen on TH-cam. Thank you so very much for your time and expertise.
Thanks for taking the dangerousness and worry out of heart phenomena!
Great video thank you. Mine started over a week ago. Scared the daylights out of me, hearing you talk about at rest vs active was really useful as every time they've popped up I've been relaxing.
Thank you, that had made things so much clearer. I only have them when hungover or anxious. Your video has made me feel safe.
Damn. I wish just a quarter of a Valium would affect me.
Did you ever get this sorted? I feel like my eptopic beats are constant at the moment; had them for about 2 days so far.

Do you mean during exercise or after exercising?
And what about if it gets worse at night because mines does
Had the same question.
I have been told at the ER that they think I have SVT
all my test were normal besides my heart beating at 168 for 30 minutes
I have to go see a cardiologist but I’m so scared I’m going to die from this but I’m scared I’m going to die if I get surgery as well
Every time I have an ectopic beat it scared it’s the end
This feels like a death sentence
I'm there with you. I'm 30 thousand dollars in debt because no health insurance and the doctors haven't helped me at all. My cardiologist is a twat. I've been to the hospital 20 plus times.

Very bad skipping heartbeat (34 to 50 bpm) seems to be 98 % normal now after taking 200 mg of magnesium citrate 2x day for 2 weeks. I will continue this forever. 😁😁 thank yoy Doctor 👍👍😎
I thank God for you, Doc. All that needs be said.✌️
I get them if stressed or anxiety related but always best to get it checked often.
Same. I get the beat beat beat..... Beat! Scary but also notice it's more when stressed and anxious.
What do ya do to make them better
Chad Janz sounds familiar the only thing that works for me is time. They will show up for weeks then on day they just disappear. Been playing this game for 15 yrs now
Whenever I see a doctor about my PVC, I feel like doctors don't give a shit about how pvc's make me feel. I appreciate your video it is convincing and this vide made me feel heard about my problem.
Thanks for this wonderful information about ectopic heartbeats. Your videos are great! 😎
Hi I also have ectopic heart beat since in my mid 20’s and now Im 44. I noticed that since I started taking fish oil supplement it lessen my ectopic heart beat. Do you think fish oil helps?
I was taking fish oil and stopped when I ran out. I'm going to start taking them again and see if it will help my fluttering
Magnesium helps.
thank you Dr. Gupta, its really very useful information.
Clear, excellent information. THANK YOU!
So incredibly helpful. Had ectopic beats all my life. Never with exercise yet nobody has asked that question. I probably should have mentioned it.
Structural changes in the heart are secondary to the electrical abnormality producing ectopics/ arrhythmia in most of the cases.....
Thank you so much for this video! I have been diagnosed with etopic heartbeat!
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this video. It's given me reassurance that I'm OK. Unlike the information I've been struggling to get out of my GP, 24 hour ecg, results back doc said in was getting beats every 1 min and I'd will take 7months to see a specialist, only another 6 months to go haha. Anyway thanks again.
Dr gupta sir very clearly and easily explained the ectopic beat problem a great video thanks and good wishes u r render great service to heart patients

The cardiologist very confidently diagnosed "typical symptoms of extrasystoles."
He sent me to do an EKG and ECO cardiac color Doppler, Complete blood count / Hepatogram / protein-gram, B12, Iron, cholesterol, etc, which were normal.
Thank you. These videos mean so much to me.
it started when i was 18 years old im now 20 and i still have them, i got like every test possible. still is very annoying.

Beatroot
I experienced an ectopic heartbeat for 4 months and was adviced on TH-cam to take beatroot. I took it for only 2weeks and i have a normal heartbeat now ❤
Wow really. Trying
Yeah, it worked like magic for me
@@Naaquamy Beetroot worked for me too. I drink a glass of beet juice most days.
@@hotsonny505 glad to hear that
Hi all commenters did anyone get cured from this? :-) after trying beetroot or someother thing
What breathing routine did you learn?
Thank you so much doctor Sanjay your a real Saint I'm going to get these test done so I can live without fear
Do share your opinion.
invaluable info, Dr, thanks very much! 🙌
Makes sense .. I’m just sooo sick can’t even walk in a grocery store so sick they think it could be this but don’t know much more yet I’m only 25
You break down information so well. I dunno. Thoughts?
Very useful information...
clearing my doubts...
I have these it started after a very anxious situation. I also have ibs due to stress.
Upshot: calcium score trumps everything else.
If you have calcium score of 0, you have a very low mortality rate due to cardiovascular of 0.1 - 0.2 percent, irrespective of other risk factors (ie with full roster of risk factors it’s still is only 0.26%)
If you have high calc score, you have ten times higher risk, at 1% to 2% per year (1.1% for no risk factors and 1.7% with all risk factors)
Interplay of Coronary Artery Calcium and Risk Factors for Predicting CVD/CHD Mortality: The CAC Consortium, 2020
Try Biotin! basically healed me from ectopics/flutters! (and magnesium)
Does this really work 🙏 what magnesium did you get,was it just you standard one ?
@@jasminebratton3757 Magnesium Taurate. I take 600mg daily after eating. Thats the main thing. Make sure you have good sleep too.
@@pierremovimento5494 do you take it in the evening ?
Sir is there any relation between cervical spondolysis and ectopic heart beats?
You sure explain this so well...really appreciate it! And it all makes sense too.
