    Patrick, you seem so authentic and genuine. I honestly wish you much happiness on your guitar journey. You’re the real deal. Keep on putting out teaching videos. Thanks for sharing this and stay in contact with Billy.

    They are part of who we are and they are a member of our family only to be passed 😊down from generation to generation. Thanks for sharing this little part of you.
    Maybe your daughter will play it one day.

    Thank you for sharing your story. Beautiful sound and gorgeous look! I talked to David Mathis about a week ago. He is building me a Custom G-70. Will be finished in about 3 months. I can’t wait to hold it in my hands!

    I hope we all have that one 'guitar' that is priceless to us, regardless of cost. My Bedell 1964 carried me through the hardest time in my life and I can never replace it. I know how he feels.

      I got my “one” (a Running Dog mini-jumbo, redwood/koa) 17 years ago. Last month, I flew with it, for the first time ever. On the return flight, I had to gate-check it. The airport LOST it, for a half hour, by sending it to the wrong baggage area. Anyone could have just picked it up and walked off with it. Never again. I have other guitars for flying.

    Your Luthier did a very nice repair on the hole ,I dont like guitars with built in electronics and wont buy 1 ,JP has the right idea about K&K pure mini pickups and they are Passive so no battery compartments and no ugly sound deadening EQs cut into the side

    I can explain it for you: The tone, balance and playability is perfect. My G-70 is the same way. I am thrilled every time I play it.

    I bought my D-35 new in 1978. The only acoustic I own. It is as much a part of me as my arm. I have a muscle disease that has robbed me of the ability to play her. But she is mine. For now. Someday, my sons. In reality, we only accompany them for a time. They are as timeless as a Stratovarius. They can be rebuilt and live far past our lifetimes. Others will play her, but some of my ashes will be inside her when they do.

    How do you feel about it as compared to your Boucher?

    • @michaelwebster8389
      @michaelwebster8389 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've got 3 guitars that give me inspiration to play and fiddle, and work things out - my BG-52 Boucher, and my D-18 GE, and my D-28 - which I think has the Englemann spruce top. So long as the strings are reasonably bright, you can just sit there long periods being inspired to work things out, and just enjoying the tone of the guitars.

      That sounds like a really great guitar btw: - of course...
