    On the original 'Will The Circle Be Unbroken' album, there's a snippet where Merle Travis says to Doc Watson about his Gallagher guitar "That guitar rings like a bell".

    It sounds amazing - tone, punch, mid, and bottom end; and it’s beautiful. Wow! Excellent!

    I love what Gallagher and you guys did there, and I love the appellation! Very very nice guitar, I’m sure somebody will not be disappointed. Yes, that is a player’s guitar.

    Sounds amazing, perfect balance of low, mid, high and mellowness. Great projection without sounding too jangly.

    25th subscriber channel-supportive LIKE; 144th view about to have happened. Still would've preferred a clear pick-guard, leaving all the top wood exposed. Great tone.

    Good sounding guitar. Since I can't see any defects, it looks good to me. How might it compare to an Eastman E20D-MR'-TC in voice? Thanks John and Jeremy.

    Hey, for fun, pull out the prewar D28 you have and go head to head with it.

    That's some of the lightest rosewood I've seen on a guitar, thought it was mahogany at first.

    Where do I get one? Special order from Gallagher? I've always wanted a Gallagher. This seems to fit the bill

    Not bad sound to this guitar. But too over of price for plastic binding Guitar
    For $1000 dollar less one can get D-28 Modern Deluxe with Real Wood binding and sound Great. My 3 Boutique Custom 10 String Irish Citterns have wood binding & inlays to them for that same price tag. ( Love the video's Guys and say Hi to Jerry Rosa too :)

    Roewood Bracing. Did I read that correctly??

    • @duspar1
      @duspar1 ปีที่แล้ว

      It looks like “& Madagascar Rosewood” was inserted later in the composition and the word “bracing” accidentally appeared twice. Rosewood would be a poor choice for bracing, and they would not be able to say it was braced/voiced like a prewar Martin of this was truly the case. I’m assuming it should be Adirondack-braced, but it’s not specified here anyway.

      @@duspar1 it certainly "sounded" a little strange and caught my eye. Thanks T eh

    Tough price point. You can score a used D28 Authentic series around that money.

      You can get a D28 Authentic, but no truss rod? I'd rather have a soft V-neck.

      Too much for folks who prefer to buy Chinese made Eastman’s over American made instruments.

    • @jordangunit3078
      @jordangunit3078 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Factor cost of high end materials and paying an American wage for a skilled set of builders to spend many many hours constructing an instrument. What do you think they deserve to earn for the masterfully built instrument? If you want factory guitar prices, buy a factory guitar, or a foreign made one with cheap Asian labor. I understand it seems like a lot, but these guys earn their price. I understand there needs to be affordable guitars out there, but guys like Gallagher build to a standard of quality, not a price. JUst my opinion.

      For comparison-sake: at 1/4 of that price (2012 price) I think my Martin D-1/GT sounds just as good to my ears. Your mileage may vary.

      As Ettore Bugatti once said, "nothing is too beautiful or too expensive". Someone will buy it because it is worth it to them. What I think you meant is, "priced too high for me".

    • @billdedrick1914
      @billdedrick1914 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@brandonhahn7789 No I did not mean that.. It is priced too high for what it is...After buying it, if you wanted to sell it right away, you would lose a considerable amount of money.. It is not a Martin..Similar to buying a China assembled Bourgeois Touchstone for $3000. Never will have an attractive resell price. It is what it is.

    • @charlesbolton8471
      @charlesbolton8471 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@billdedrick1914
      Just because something doesn’t have an “attractive resell” doesn’t mean it isn’t worth its price. Just because YOU might buy something with the intention of reselling down the line doesn’t mean others won’t buy the same thing with the intention of keeping it for life.
      As a resident of TN who lives near where Gallagher guitars were originally and where they are currently built, I know quite a few Gallagher owners (both original and new ones) and not a single one of them has any intention of selling their guitars. These guitars are definitely keepers and worth every penny of their price.
