Glad to see you putting that practice last night into another good video! Thanks for putting the controller in, the part when it was zoomed in and repeated was especially helpful.
We need a Persona themed specific term to refer to the gun dash that only fans will get. Similar to shulks old monado purge (while in jump art, up throw up air)
I started up a play through of P4G since I just finished another play through of P5 a couple months back and don’t wanna burn out on it before The Royal. I collect PSP and Vita so I own portable versions of every Persona except 5 which I own on both PS3 and PS4. I figure PS3 version might get rare someday and wanted my little brother to be able to play it. Also sold my PS4 to my friend to buy a PS4 Pro and to get him to play P5. If a Switch version drops I’ll buy it. I imported the Japanese collectors edition of P3&P5 Dancing for Vita. I own a P5 Weiss Schwartz deck. I even went as Joker to a masquerade ball my girlfriend dragged me to. It feels weird to say but I’ve probably never identified more with a character in a game than I do with Joker and honestly I can’t even say why. He reminds me of myself at that age. I used to post that I wanted Joker in Smash on pre-launch Ultimate posts, but I never even once imagined that it’d be a possibility, let alone reality. I actually ended up feeling lukewarm about the game right at launch and money was tight at the time so I was considering waiting a couple weeks to get the game. Then launch day happened and Joker was announced. I ran out in fucking pajama pants to buy a copy at the midnight launch even though I knew I would have to wait for him. I didn’t expect 4.5 months though. That one hurt a bit. I played Sheik in Smash 4 though I cycled around with a couple other characters (Peach, Bayo, Roy) and could never settle on a solid main and Joker basically was exactly what I wanted him to be. For the first time ever I feel like I have a main. I’ve never liked a single character enough to be able to say that. It was hard when Ultimate released. I only played Bayo because she was good and openly admitted that to everyone. Sheik I felt like I could win 95% of neutral interactions and still manage to lose off of stray hits which made me iffy long term. Roy wasn’t that good in Smash 4 but I made him work. Peach was a little better but she has always been execution heavy. So in Ultimate the character I played only because she was good sucked and all the characters I secondaried were great and Wolf was in the game and replaced Sheik for me day one. But I still felt like I couldn’t stick with a single character. So I stopped playing. The day joker released was the first time I played in over two months and I don’t feel any urges to play another character. I’m set for the first time ever. I wonder if this is how people felt when if they actually liked that total annoying bitch Bayonetta. I feel like was one of the few people actually playing Bayo and calling for nerfs.
And #4 you can shoot another very low bullet by pressing instead of holding b that at certain ranges can help set up for openings due to how little lag it has from canceling on landing
Joker is now the only character who has an effective waveland. Nintendo, instead of nerfing this, just let us have our broken gun-wielding dlc character.
By the way, there is a faster, farther gundash. You do this by instead inputting another special input after the sh gun like a smash input (just like inputting samus super missile).
I can’t seem to make it. I short hop and immediately use Neutral-B and hold forward. The complete dodge animation shows up. The slide is not as consistent as yours, any idea why?
Yep, use shorthop next wait a few and the press b then slide forward. It's a little trickier but with practice is consistent. Or try customise your zl or zr to B.
I've got the input nailed down with like 95% consistency, but it's so strange to use this in games. Doesn't really pop in to my head as an option, so I find myself either doing no gundashes in a match or thinking "I should Gundash more" and forcing it into my play at bad times. Guess this is something I'll just pick up with experience.
You said he slides 3.5 meters and I can see that consistently... but I SWEAR it's happened three times now amd I'm struggling in frame by frame, he's gone 4 meters.
I can't get it =( Been trying in training over and over with no success. I can't figure out what I'm dying wrong. Going frame by frame, it looks like I'm firing the shot at the correct height but still getting a regular wave dash. Not at all sliding the way the video shows and the way I've seen opponents do it in matches. Help? EDIT: Got it!
I personally think we should call this technique gun dashing, then the act of using the gun to move and have intangibility frames gun dodging, and then call gun dodging in the air, gun air dodging. Just keep things consistent with wave dashing and air dodging.
@@jvyvyn If you spam this move, the shorter it gets to the point doing it is useless, also this move is useful in like 4 situations that are easily counterable. This wont get annoying at all
@@jvyvyn a) this is not even a very powerful option, it has a really vulnerable startup. b) even if it was really good, it's a movement option, not an attack. It isn't "spammed". c) by saying it's unfun to play against anyone who is proficient at the technical aspects of the game and that those aspects should therefore be removed, it is you who is unfun.
Im a sheik main for life and I will never insult her by switching over to this half-breed or any other character, despite how much better he seems on Day 3
If you are expecting props, don’t. The moment Joker was announced he was my main. Persona 5 is my favorite game of this whole generation, if not ever. I played Sheik as well and was going to play Wolf from week one until Joker but decided to just take the winter off and wait for him instead. I didn’t want to get too attached to Wolf and not be able to drop him for Joker if Joker sucked. Plus, Wolf got really popular and I didn’t want to look like a band wagoner. Sucks when the characters you like are too good and it just looks like you are playing whomever is good. Frankly though. I do miss Sheik’s tilts but that’s basically the only thing I miss.
man it feels so good to just glide around like the good ol' days and actually have it useful.
Man that's a powerful tool
Better nerf greninja
L1ttleWarrior13 This is ultimate.
Doodle Stank Better Nerf Megaman then
Shut the fuck up 😂😂😂
Dude just went from high tier to top tier
BARITB from top tier to top 10
Absolutely not
I cant wait till im top 10

Imagine gun being land cancellable. You have melee Joker now.

Ooh, that ones actually really good
I got one that nobody will ever get:

Thanks for the vid. I found myself using the dash to get in, which did not work half the time on aggressive players. These are some good uses.
Good stuff trixx. I’ve been practicing this since yesterday. It feels amazing to have it down

Wow the slide to down tilt looks hella useful. Thanks for the video bro
Holy Shit i love this character
this was actually really useful especially the visual representation at 1:48
And #4 you can shoot another very low bullet by pressing instead of holding b that at certain ranges can help set up for openings due to how little lag it has from canceling on landing
I also found out later that you can use your double jump before you touch the ground which can be useful too. Learning every day 👀
Oh crap this is op
Quick! Nerf greninja!
Gunrobadics that’s what I call it.
This is really good to know! I rarely use gun other than getting on stage or edge guarding. I will definitely practice gun stalling
Gunkata

Joker even without Arsene is one of the best characters in the game. Arsene just makes him broken.
Hey man just found your channel, you make some dope content and I love all of your stuff! Keep up the awesome work
This is actually really fun to do, thanks
Good video! This is such a cool technique
Damn your outro animation and end card are beautiful
Wavebouncing the gun and holding the stick to slide looks cool.
PERSONAlly I like it
Joker has been out for almost an entire year...
How have I never heard about this!?

Does somebody knows how to cancel his down gun while in air?
Good video! Hopefully this tech will be even further advanced in the future
I'm calling is sliding slinger
And Kirby can do it too
Great video, informational and not horridly boring like some smash tubers in 2019. Except online montages that shit is fake.

What's the input for the most effective, long range one?
Forward back jump back b back then hold forward?
No one gonna bring up the fact this man either got really big hands, or a really small controller.
Both
Damn... I keep whiffing the input and doing side b instead
He just has a waveland
0:25 also worth mentioning you have the fourth option of double jumping out which is useful in a number of scenarios.
never saw someone actually using y+z to do a short hop
can we see buttons on screen instead of hands?
oh u cant? XD
makes sense
Quell Dieu buy me a PC and I'll do it every time
I didn't know they added dante from devil may cry in this game
i keep having trouble with the second part , he short hops and shoots but when i go for the wave land he air dodges to the right
I don t understand ... can someone tell me the combinaison pls ?
I run, short hop and do the gun stale (I call it the wave shot)
i still can't do it lol
