6k players? Y'all must be new to fighting games because that is a lot of players. Every fighting games has a drop off after just a few weeks of launch. Nobody commits to playing fighting games online after a while. It's just too sweaty. Look the numbers again. Sparking Zero has 11k players right now meanwhile Tekken 8 and Guilty Gear Strive has 7k and 3k~ players online. These two games were the top 3 of Evo competitions last year. Street Fighter 6 has 20k and all time peak of 70k. All of those games are doing really well in the fighting game community. Also these charts only show PC players too. So going off a number of online players isn't really indicative of anything.
@@r-6-j294 I literally have hundreds of games in my steam account that is older than a decade. holidays are coming up and you expect me to regularly take time out of my days to play the game and keep it "alive"? eat my ass.
good chunk of missing characters, a huge list of missing potential outfits and accessories, and bunch of missed opportunities with alternate stories game was insanely overhyped and the devs need to be more diligent and efficient with their updates i thoroughly disagree with your balance ideals, although if the damage difference between characters was less drastic, that'd be agreeable. But the idea of the balancing is that a 1-3DP should almost never lose to a 10DP unless there's a HUGE skill gap. Almost all S+Ranks are capable of manhandling new players with 1-3DP characters. I'd say that's a fair balance.
I love this game, however, they constantly overexaggerate many things. Take the character count for example. They say it's 182, but half of them are transformations of characters (you can literally power up from the base form). Also the online is mid, I think if they fix the online, it'll help majorly.
About characthers, they should had use the Raging Blast route. Just had One Goku and Vegeta for Z+Super that can transform to all their form. Make customizable moveset just like Raging blast because 1/3 of all Goku moveset is the same kamehameha and you can't do anything else.
They said the same thing about Tekken 8, Black Myth Wukong, and Elden Ring. When the DLCs come out, that number is gonna jump up again. Also, it doesn't help that Ranked is extremely toxic and full of Android sweats. Customisation (or lack there of) is disappointing. Lack of legacy characters and stages. No stages for Local Multiplayer (which most people played long time ago). Episode Battles finish really quick.
the game is a month old , there is only so much content a game can have and the FGC in regards to traditional fighters has already solved why this happened years ago with Fighterz which was also the most played steam game upon release. After a month most casuals and most people will have played the game death in terms of single player content and once that's finished all that's left is ranked and player match lobbies, Ranked match and online play in any fighting game WILL ALWAYS have a skill barrier that requires players to actually train and get better at the game to see results and gain some time of reward from reaching a certain rank this game IS NOT a party game and it IS NOT an EVO contender but there is a learning curve and a skill journey which is what is found in ANY COMPITENT GAME that you as a player can embark on if you choose and THAT is where the infinite value of any particular game comes from and its why a traditional fighter can be 5+ years old but still see a large amount of people continue to play the game despite there being no new content added in. the 100k+ people who have dropped the game have dropped it because ultimately they've gotten they're moneys worth from the game and don't see a need to play it anymore. even if on launch there was even more content than what was initially packaged we'd still be having the same conversation because Anime games always have SHARP declines in player bases and interest after launch, the fact that the games aren't competitive and don't have a league also massively reduces the overall interest in the games over time. heck even look at all of the biggest channels in the anime gaming community and you'll quickly notice that outside of big game launches when they have to do daily videos like ranked matches or just general gameplay they don't pull that many views relative to their subscriber counts, its only when a big release like this comes around that they start to pull in the kind of numbers that are appropriate to their channel sizes like having 900k subs but barely doing 20k views is not a good metric but that's just the nature of their channels. Sparking Zero will be fine in the long run and if its anything to go by because this game is being published by Bandai Namco it means it will continue to get supported for the next couple of years with DLC and potentially live service features which the numbers have already proven games that have live service features that LS will keep a games player base steady and continually engaged with the game vs having nothing and people having no reason to return (which is why FighterZ is dead with only the core and hardcore communities keeping it alive)
I was online earlier wit like 400k players on, what u mean?! Lol they shouldve just made it balanced like fighterz did mostly. Then u could be your favorite characters and be competitive while having fun.
DP points is already a good way to balance strong characters to weak characters! The issue is that some characters are too strong for their dp points. One good example is people choosing to go with super vegito instead of vegito blue because ai strike makes super vegito better!
You don't get it! It's just a fighting game. After story mode, you jump online for some rank battles. Then after a few hours you realize you're done. Simple. Not much to do other than kick ass and get ass kicked 😂😂
Yes you expected the population to be on PC when the games were mainly on ps2 and Xbox that’s like saying oh why isn’t god of war the most played game on steam rn 😐😐😐😐😐
Yall taking the game seriously you want a boring "balanced" game where yamcha could smack ss4 gogeta, play fighterz. Not every game needs to be competitive.
ITS ONLY BEEN OUT A MONTH YALL RUN TO THESE GAMES SO FAST AND AINT NOBODY EVEN GET TO PLAY THEM YET LOL, IT'S ALOT OF PEOPLE THAT HAVENT EVEN GOT A CHANCE TO PLAY IT YET
This is normal. I played when i got it but life is busy. Most people that got it are adults with jobs and families. You think we all gonna be stuck playing? Besides is not a failure amounting the numbers they sold. So shtfup
Bro are you srs???? It's a NON LIVE SERVICE 1V1 FIGHTING GAME TF DO YOU EXPECT?????? It's obvious after a month only the "real" fighting game community remains thats how it goes with every fighting game, this game just peaked very hihh bcs it's dragon ball hype but in the end not many people love pvp fighting games
Imma be honest I refunded it. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Yamcha die in a slideshow, and I couldn't believe my ears at how bad the voice acting was compared to past games and the anime. They charged so much for this game that the quality should have been a lot higher. Imo xenoverse 2, fighterz, and Kakarot were much better games and cost less. I'm not saying sparking zero is bad because it's good, I just couldn't wrap my head around how it cost more than the other dragon ball games I've been playing. It felt like a scam.
It’s normal, it just came out, dlc multiple at that are coming throughout at least the next 7 or 8 years and the game is fine. Annoying at times yes especially ranked but that’s just ranked for ya. It’s a literal skill issue(in the literal sense) if you’re not good at the game. You can and will get better with practice, yes it’s annoying to face a lot of op characters but they are lore accurate especially with how much damage they do to specific characters. Power scaling is weird and dragon ball is awesome. There is no situation. None of the characters need to be balanced. This game is fun and any and yes I mean any character can beat any character with enough skill involved. The definition of dragon ball itself. Train get stronger, rest, eat and sleep plenty too rinse and repeat and you’ll be havin fun and getting strong in no time. 🗿❤
the problem is the series got inflated with alot of new comers that dont understand the maguic of the game and havent given the game the time. its not about winning online battles. the game is about emersion and using your creativity. bt3 was unbalanced asf but guess what nobody cared we used to host tournaments have a lil gentlemens agreement (no exploits) and we would have fun. but these days gamers cant even enjoy a body of work for what it is without tearing it down.
This game performs more favourably on consoles especially on PS5 as its the platform with the biggest fighting game community as well casuals. Too bad for xbox players tho since this game is not cross progression with steam or PS it will be dead soon enough unless bandai add crossplay.

I can't imagine a game made to be unbalanced as fuck being a great online game anyway. Oh well, still looks incredible.
Ppl got lifes to do, the game is good, dtop whining for engagment
Thats not the case, people are leaving for weeks to play something else because the game lacks game modes and is unbalanced
Nah. 90 PERCENT within a MONTH of release? The game need fixing
@@trehundobeatz6359 Every fighting game is like this lmao
@@leonardoasaro1832 not really. Tekken, sf6 hell even storm connections wasnt like this lmfao💀

I wonder if Japan likes Sparking Zero.
Thats a Good Question. Some guy telling me They dont have to Add Gohan black\ What if Characters but player Count is Dropping
Sparking Zero at is core is a party fighting game, a game you play with your friends where you just mess around having fun DBZ battles.
1hr ago there was 557,147 ONLINE all platform players
Dude it’s been out a month and people are acting like it’s been out for a year
good chunk of missing characters, a huge list of missing potential outfits and accessories, and bunch of missed opportunities with alternate stories

good chunk of missing character? Lol what?
Good chunk of characters missing ??? Mf out of the 120 characters in this game most of us only see the same 10-15 online.
Overhyped idk This game is literally what it told us it was.
BT4 thats all this game was
You are just expecting too much.
@Kai-jn7pn it's supposed to be BT4 yet it's missing all OG DB, super 17, nova shenron, and some others like great ape goku, king vegeta, fasha.
I like sparking zero, but I only ever play it with friends. I find myself returning to fighterz a lot more, though.
That’s a wild plummet
Very sad. The game is so good
No its not, most people dont even beat games these days
@CyrusIsntIt needs more Game modes and Raid Boss Coop Modes

Tekken 8 yes, but Wukong nd Elden Ring you are definitely wrong on as they are completely different types of games.

nerf instant sparks so youre only allowed to spam ki blasts and combos. ults shouldnt be allowed
atleast not twice in a row
They really dropped the ball with online mode. If there's a lot of lag in a timing based game, the game is broken. I just stick with offline mode.
The Honey Moon is over.

No it’s not. All the casual have effed off and I am happy
