    That Sounds Terrible is the best channel name EVER

    nice: surprised at how good the MWAC sounds. I have the Key & Gate and am really impressed with it. I still wish it had a slower release time at quieter volumes. Apparently the newest version has an extra control for this. Bummed I didn't get one of those!

      Yeah, I’m curious how the new revision of the K&G is. I may need to look into one.

    I have the MWAC and have loved it, but how did it compare to the Lichtlaerm Key and Gate in the room? I've thought about switching to the Key and Gate, but not sure if its actually worth it or not?

      Im actually in the process of doing an updated video on them, but the K&G is tighter, but I felt the MWAC is a little more sensitive. Either one is fantastic to have in your setup.

    If money were no object would you prefer Guptech MWAC or The Key & Gate???

      I prefer the MWAC due to how sensitive/reactive it is. Feels more natural, it doesn’t feel like a hard gate, like a Killswitch or mute button being pushed, it doesn’t do that which is good for my style.

      @@Johnmannish I haven’t used the ISP to give a fair comparison.

    Any differences between the SUN and the MWAC you could notice?

    • @thatsoundsterrible
      @thatsoundsterrible  ปีที่แล้ว

      In my opinion, the MWAC is more sensitive to the key input (better touch response), more transparent and less signal loss.
      The Sun gate has an internal switch to be Range (threshold) or key in. But I always felt it would lose some top end no matter which setting I tried.
      Both are fantastic, but the MWAC is my preferred choice.

      Thanks man, I own a TC sentry and I have been pretty satisfied with it so far but wanted to tey something newer. Would you say the MWAC can do the tight fast staccato gating? A la Messhugah for example

      @@niemand5627 never tried it to be honest, for my needs I’ve never pushed the knob really past 10-o’clock. It removes the noise perfectly for my punk/alt rock riffs.
      That said, there isn’t a way to adjust the release/hold time. So i couldn’t tell you a definite yes or no.
