I was interested until I found out, just like the tonal, they cripple the machine if you don’t pay the monthly subscription.
Thank you! This whole concept really pisses me off. It's all greed. I was reading on reddit that someone hacked into their Tonal and discovered that it has purposely under-powered hardware. Basically they offload the majority of the processing to cloud servers. Don't wanna pay? Sure, but now your $3K+ investment is dumber than a microwave. Not future proof at all! This technology can revolutionize healthcare for the better, but we're just getting more creative in ways to put up pay walls to access it. The only hope for this machine IMO is that their legal documentation mentions "altering software." So maybe these machines can be jailbroken to maintain full functionality. Honestly, I might look into creating my own startup for a Tonal copycat that you can install yourself, goes up to 200lbs per arm, has all the unique digital weight features, has offline capable hardware that syncs to your phone, and if I'm feeling frisky: MAYBE an OPTIONAL subscription for workout programs. This shit has got to stop.. greed will ruin us.
@@oxefit I completely disagree. Call it what you want. But it’s like paying each time you want your shoes tied. Your shoes still function as shoes, but they’d sure work a lot better if they were secure on your feet. Too bad you have to pay someone to tie them - even though you “own” shoes that have this ability, it’ll cost you so long as you “own” and use them.
I’m just upset because it’s so blatantly obvious. This pay wall stuff is alright for maybe streaming services and video games. But overvalued exercise equipment? Like Peloton’s stock value over the past three years!?… You’re gonna do what you want aside from what I say here. But your demographic is only so wide. I want to see OxeFit succeed. But nowadays, as things are, if you really want to be “different,” give your customers free choice to use their hardware how they want offline as well. You can make money elsewhere.

@@oxefit these comments are correct. At this rate I'm pretty much waiting for the off brand version of this device. 10 to 12 weeks to arrive means I have time to think on my decision. By the time resources become more available after this covid rut, there will be another off brand Oxefit
how does it "cripple" the machine if you can still do all the exercises and adjust the weight...? doesn't it just turn off guided workout and form tracking? doesn't seem crippled to me, just becomes a bowflex kinda thing
I am only looking at this because Tonal requires a subscription. Without a subscription they turn of the eccentric function. Is your machine crippled like this if you do not take the subscription?
I mentioned this on FB recently... There are multiple instances on this video (0:35, 0:58, 1:36)... It shows the arms shaking heavily... 1:36 vibrates heavily... They seem wobbly and unstable... I am looking forward to see some reviews before I order...
Such a great concept that I would love to have, it would work great in my small space of a home.
Of course, the same issue as Tonal, you require a subscription for it to be useful...
I hope you and Tonal figure out someday that you are missing a huge market... Such a disappointment
This is my issue too. Im buying a expensive workout machine but then i have to marry the company with a subscription. Does this machine disable all the hardware features when not subscribed, like Tonal does?
@@americanlatino9508 yeah this one too. There is a new brand coming out soon but I don’t know if it dies the same thing, it’s a full mirror mixed with a Tonal style.

People are stupid. I’m excited and I want this at soon to be 25. They upset saying it cripples the machine if you don’t pay for subscription, yet you pay for cable. You pay for takeout. You pay for delivery services. Some pay for po rn. You pay to get intoxicated. You pay for insurance you may never use. You pay to have simple food cooked you can do yourself and even worst you tip people who bring out the food not those who cook it. The subscription is constantly being added and improved. It’s over 250 workouts you can chose from any time as much as you want. You’re getting TECHNOLOGY, you can’t really put a set price on that. You’re getting convenience. You’re getting quality. Even if you think your doing harm by saying your going to tonal, you’re running into the same issues. Foolish. Just stick to a gym, personal trainer, or workout dvds. Nobody losing you.
They lose if everybody decides to stick to view TH-cam videos and cheap equipment from Amazon. At almost $6,000, we should be able to use the machine as we wish without the subscription.

Oxefit you have access to TH-cam for free advertising so why not make real videos? Look I want to see see the trainers exercises on the screen as customers use them. I care less if a football player tried Oxefit. I want to meet all the trainers and their backgrounds on how they are going to help the customers. Make videos showing and explaining the big blue screen. Show videos with all your trainers and program. Talk about what health and fitness professionals are bringing to the table for Oxefit customers.
Idk, I'm at the Moment deciding between this one here and the vitruvien. This one gives me more at the beginning, but I could never grow out of the vitruvien, at least naturally.
The most important question is, are you still going to be in business for years to support your customers monthly services?

I am a big Tonal guy. I need to see more of this. I may be a future convert. So 10-12 weeks before any actual consumers will receive the first roll out meaning there wont be any real consumer videos until late spring. If this company is smart they will flood TH-cam with videos and not make the early marketing mistakes that Tonal did. I am starting to feel Tonal might not be built to last for those that use it daily. This thing looks tough. Oxefit, you need a Tonal guy to test this thing out? Give me a call.
They sold me a little bit on that due to their other product. The $42,000 XP1. That thing's a freaking monster. I'm sure this one, at a fraction of the cost, isn't as sturdy as that beast. But it still looks pretty solid.

It doesn't 'cripple' the machine if you don't pay the subscription. The only reason you get the machine is because of the subscription. Do you realize how expensive that machine is to manufacture? Their margins at a price of 4k aren't huge. Most of their profits will come from the system's reasonably priced subscription. It's practically an entire smart gym that folds up against the wall. That being said, it also only goes up to 250lbs. So I'd need more equipment or a gym subscription to lift more than that, which ruins the selling point completely for me. I'll just spend 4k on taking up a bunch of equipment that can't be turned off~

So other than the cardio and the 50 extra lbs what can this thing do that tonal can't and what's the warranty on this thing and what does it cover and for how many years? I can tell you this. They did a major level up with this, and not having to bolt it into the wall like the Tonal
250lbs isn’t a lot. Is there plans for a heavier resistance system?
Constant cable resistance tends to be 20-25% heavier due to the lack of gravity and weightlessness generated by momentum. Therefore, 250lbs on our machine will feel heavier than traditional barbell weights. In the future, there will be implementations to increase the maximum resistance further. Come check it out!
How high would a ceiling need to be to fit this?

Until we move in the future, there's only one place in the house we could fit this, but it would absolutely have to be folded away when not in use.
How large is the foot-print when it's folded up?
What is the height requirement for the system? The only place I can put this has a ceiling of 6'7" and I don't know how tall the equipment actually is.

I been looking into Tonal and was going to order one this weekend. However an add for this popped up. I see very very limited information. I'll call i guess. Several questions not answered.

Surprised it only goes up to 250 lbs. Tonal I get as it might rip off the wall, but this thing doesn't have that problem.
@@oxefit Oh yeah I get what you're saying and agree completely. I never come anywhere close to the 200 lbs limit on Tonal. I just hear a lot of people complaining about that limit and figured it wouldn't be as big of a problem with OxeFit.

These were scripted questions. Answer this: can I have access to MY sensors and memory, on MY machine, without paying a monthly subscription?
Because if the answer is YES, then I'm in!
Only cloud-based features (the ones that cost you money to operate) should be disabled, like lessons, updates, etc. Memory of resistance\programs I built or already downloaded, mobility sensing, etc... Those should be kept operational with no subscription.
These days, instead of creating something that justify a subscription, companies just take away features that could easily be there without one. Just like my fridge doesn't require a subscription to sense the temperature or dispense ice\water, so does any non-cloud based features in your machine.

So I'm out. The machine has memory, and you're not allowing me to use it. It has movement\balance sensors, and you're not allowing me to use it. These are things I PAY FOR if I buy it.
If you sell the machine for a price that doesn't include all the electronic hardware ($1500), then go ahead, disable it when I opt out... But you can't double charge me for something.

it looks like a great machine sold at a great price. Kind of reminiscentof my first 8 inkjet printers. Only $30 plus ink. Oh but that ink'll cost you thousands.
again this looks like a great machine. But seriously, at a time when costs of everything needful is exorbitantly high, who can be sure they'll have that extra $40 per month for much longer. This thing will just be an expensive reminder in the corner. It's not that it's not a nice machine, and it's not that there aren't people who can jailbreak this machine like we jailbreak our phones. I expect there may be a robust aftermarket if enough are sold.
@@spearsboy4 From what I understand, if you stop the subscription everything still works in freestyle mode but in the Tonal they disable numerous functions if you cancel your subscription, most important the eccentric function (Which to me makes it next to useless).

Tonal has a real competitor now....
It does, but this is huge compared to tonal and a little more expensive. It’s definitely cool though. There’s a few more things you can do on here than on tonal.
