    Paul, thank you for the updated video with Tonal! My wife and I have ours being installed 10 JUL 24, we can’t wait! We are converting one of our bedrooms to a gym. We also have a Hydro Pro, so I think between both machines we should have very effective workouts! Have you tried a Hydro? I will definitely look for you on the Tonal site. Stay safe, strong, and keep inspiring!

    I've had Tonal for about 3 years now and feel the same. It's where I've worked out exclusively since getting it. Nearly 18M pounds lifted and went from 150 lbs to 190 lbs. Best shape of my life. It's maybe the most life-changing purchase I've ever made.

    Life changing for me 2 1/2 years in. I'm interested in building muscle. 2 things that are amazing about tonal- ability to train past failure without a spotter and - ease of use in that there is no need to load weight or manage dumbells, set up for movements is about sliding the arms and pishing a button to select the resistance desired. Not just a home workout but one is able to do things that can't be done in a coventional gym.

Also being able to do it at hole reduced the friction of working out by a lot.

    It isn't going to be for everyone,but, Personally, after owning one for over 3 years if mine broke and was not fixable, I would buy a new one and still want to use the subscription. It adds enough value to my life that it is worth every penny to me. I tried custom workout for 3 months based on a workout program I bought but then went back to the Tonal coached programs, it was way better. For me the flow and less thinking and more lifting works better.

    My wife and I bought a Tonal from some friends that only used it a few times for $2K earlier this year. We got all the accessories included and paid the extra money to tonal for it to be professionally relocated to our house and it’s been a game changer. I was lacking that missing element of going back and forth from free weights to digital resistance and my gains in muscle mass and strength have been incredible. Definitely one of the best purchases in fitness equipment we’ve ever made. The cherry on top is that my company will reimburse me after one year for the membership and I’m basically only going to pay half after reimbursement.

  • @SurferDave1313
    @SurferDave1313 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Three years in and still the best money I've ever spent. And now they announced Tonal 2 with 25% more digital weight. I'm 6'2" 190 lbs and I gotta wonder who are these guys that need even more weight? Maybe there are one or two lower body moves, where I max out, but it's rare and it's not a comfortable lift by any means. Even got my wife to regularly lift on Tonal and she never lifted weights prior to purchasing Tonal. It's truly a phenomenal machine with only one flaw that I've found. The pins that lock the arms in as you slide the arms up and down are prone to fail since the pin end is only press fit on. They are easy to repair on your own and I purchased after market pins which have a screw on end so problem solved. I've noticed the Tonal 2 even mentions that they strengthened the pins. That said it's not that big of a deal and if you move the arms a bit more gently, you likely won't ever encounter this issue.

    Does Tonal allow for X-Reps (extended reps at the end of a set with a 4 to 6 inch range of motion until failure) without the unit thinking you are cheating the range of motion? I like to do X-Reps (invented by Steve Holman & Johnathan Lawson) at the end of each set after pushing to positive failure. It would be great if Tonal was able to do it without turning off the weight because it thinks you're struggling with the weight.

    I have a couple of questions?
    1 do you get to still use the weight setting even after the subscription is up as in can you still adjust the weight after the subscription is up
    2 will it save the custom workouts you made even after the subscription is over?
    3 pretty much all my questions are about what features you get after the 1st year mandatory subscription? What stays and what fully goes unless you repay for a subscription?

    I'm writing this because I don't like it when people say it replaces a gym membership. I think the Tonal is great and strictly on a workout level, yes, it's a great alternative to the gym. But it is far more expensive than any gym I've ever used.
    The convenience is fantastic. I work from home full time, and having it so close makes it easy to keep a schedule - this is most consistently I've worked out in my entire life. A negative for me has been keeping it working, I'm scheduled for my 4th repair in a few days. All 4 times were issues with the same arm, that they are replacing finally.

    I've had my Tonal for two months, and I absolutely love it. The gym was getting so annoying. People sitting on equipment while playing on their phones. Others circuit training and getting angry when you try to use a station in their circuit. I can now get a great workout in my home. • @EdwardsNH
    @EdwardsNH 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Losing the dynamic workout modes is bull. I've been training elite level athletes for over 35 years... I'm not at all interested in the workouts. Yes, the monthly fee makes sense when you add in the trainers, but it sure as heck does not make sense for tracking, and absolutely is just a rip-off that you need it for the dynamic workouts modes. That's a pretty hefty monthly fee.
    I'm lucky enough to be in a position where I can pay it, but I find it hard to recommend when they lock it up without a subscription.
    Currently, there is a very limited field of products like this... it's an amazing piece of equipment. But as the competition starts to pile up, I'm hoping they relax a bit on things like locking up features that don't cost them anything to keep running
