    The doctors at the hospital mocking Beata's death as well as mocking Maya's condition was one of the most unprofessional and disgusting things I've ever witnessed from health "professionals". They don't care about the families, the patients, the pain, the sleepless nights. All they care about is the money they get from insurance and going on their little vacations. May this life and the next become their worst nightmare.

      it's something I have noticed with medical staff everywhere in the world. they deal on a daily basis with a lot, not to mention that some are working extreme overtime hours, and they reach to a point where they simply are desensitized. Patients are objects to them. Unfortunately, this sort of treatment was given to my poor grandma... there are very few doctors and nurses who don't lose their human touch so to speak

    • @Dr.S_G

    • @myrkvdr
      @myrkvdr 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @Rosispergia My grandmother's passing was also a result of the hospital staff's negligence. Though becoming desensitized is common in such work environments where death is almost a daily occurrence, that's no reason to mock or consider a human being under your care to be of no importance, much less when such human's life depends on your duty as either a nurse of doctor. I've met/know people who have been (and still are) exposed to human death on an almost "normal" basis (doctor and military), and yet their empathy is intact. Not once do they speak of the ill nor the dead as if their life wasn't worth saving.

      @@myrkvdr I know many doctors as I come from a family where all my siblings are doctors and it is very common to hear nurses and doctors and consultants not really care for their patients. It feels like a conveyer belt at certain hospitals as well, patient in and then out and then the next one. This isn't an excuse but this doesn't happen out of thin air, these people in these positions are given too much work and sure they are paid for it but it kills their empathy and kindness, not all of them but there is quite a few in every hospital.

      In that incident the judge appeared to be taking direct orders from his masters (the ultra wealthy’s attorneys). The Johns Hopkins lawyers was talking to the judge as if he was his boss & the judge immediately put his head down, toed the line & followed orders from his master. And the sad part, when Johns Hopkins appeals this settlement, there’s going to be hordes of judges eager to help Johns Hopkins scr3w this family even more than they already have. In the end, the family will only receive a tiny fraction of what the jury awarded.
      With these huge settlements it happens every single freakin’ time with the ultra wealthy and their bootlick!ng cronies wearing robes (aka “judges”). Always undermining the jury’s decision to protect the most vile, disgusting rich people in America.

This is something that you will NEVER understand till you experience it yourself and trust me it takes its toll never mind on top of everything Maya physically experienced there was the severe emotional distress that she went through being taken away from her family & as a result losing her mother.

My heart broke listening to this sweetheart cry out begging for someone to take away her pain there was several times where I was in that same situation wanting my mom to help me & she couldn’t even though I know if she could have she would have done anything to ease it. Our diagnosis are different but I understand & what truly made me see red is the “doctors” telling a little girl that HER feelings/pain weren’t real that she was a liar,instead of listening to her & Beata they tried convincing her that her mom was a horrible person and that everything she was experiencing with her body was all in her head,which I too have personally been told by a therapist(and even a close family member who I love dearly)who bc of his fancy doctorate degree felt he knew better than me & what I live with every day;I get it but personally nobody will know it better than the one living in the body that doesn’t cooperate so it really ticks me off when there’s these keyboard warriors over here hiding behind a screen who haven’t a CLUE about what it’s actually like living with a chronic illness come be in my shoes for awhile you’ll get humbled REAL quick.😅🫶

    I don't like her attorney's techniques. He keeps doing things he knows he isn't allowed to, saying things he has been directly told not to say, and not giving information as they are required by law to do. He comes off as disorganized and trying to pull something on the court. It almost feels like he is trying to get a mistrial (which he may well be since they tried to get SA added to the allegations but the trial had already started). This moment by the judge came after many warnings to them. He is frustrated, and rightly so, by their insistence in doing things they are not allowed to do. He is only hurting his client.

      Agreed. First time I heard him in court, I was surprised at how sort of bumbling and mumbling he came across. It also appears sometimes that he doesn't understand the rules of evidence. I'm not sure if it's just an act that he thinks will get the jury on his side (being the good-old-guy and trying not to appear too slick) or if he's actually not an experienced litigator.

    • @deaniemack
      @deaniemack 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +35

      Be patient and keep watching- he’s not as ill prepared as we think. The way he asks questions is often not a matter of getting the witness to answer it, but to get the JURY to answer it for themselves … he gets to rephrase (re-ask) important questions after multiple objections, and the jury begins to formulate their own conclusions. It’s kind of like the Pink Panther approach Lol. Stumbling on to the truth by “accident” and leaving a mess in his wake. The defense is aware but can’t do anything else but continue to object. I hope we’ll see his true measure when the defense puts on their case. Fingers crossed for Maya and her family.

Same with drugs, don't release them to private companies and their private rich families after we've paid for all the research.

Jack Kowalski - on behalf of himself, Maya, Kyle, and the estate of Beata - sued Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital for $220 million: $55 million in compensatory damages and $165 million in punitive damages. Carroll recused himself from a human rights case out of pure self interest (click my bio), in complete contempt for law (yes, stranger than fiction). It caused an instant lack of confidence in his mental capacity (intantly categorized as being of 'diminished mental capacity'). "I am so tired of how you're not telling the other side... information.
