Absolutely! I believe there are several sloth sanctuaries throughout Costa Rica, but we urge you to look into the organizations, their missions, and their practices to ensure conservation and animal protections are at the forefront of their intent!
Yeah seeing that makes it worth spending a bit more extra money, cause they probably need money to keep the sanctuary alive and going. The food, enclosures, medical care and other things the sloths and those babies need all costs money. Sloths are one of the cutest, very interesting and docile animals EVER and they all deserve help if they need it and I'm glad you guys shared it. Were you guys allowed to touch the Sloths and if not why? Usually other rescues and sanctuaries, even some zoo's allow you to even give them hugs 🤗 Some rather want to give ya a hug than eating a treat and that's so adorable ☺
Thank you for watching and for your feedback! We agree! Anytime we can help save a species from human interference, the better this world becomes. If our tiny bit of financial assistance helps, I'd do it all over again! Sorry for the delay in re spending - a YT glitch that we just got straightened out!
I strongly suggest looking up Ameena Shelling’s article for the dodo (“Famous Sloth Sanctuary Is A Nightmare For Animals, Ex-Workers Say”). Most of these sloths have severe bowel obstruction due to being given boiled vegetables instead of leaves. They have multiple sloths in overcrowded cages in the private staff-only areas. Overgrown canines and nails piercing their skin due to lack of enrichment… two vets quit and brought their evidence to the dodo because Costa Rican law enforcement won’t do anything about it
You know... Sorry, but I'm that guy who corrects everyone's grammar and things they don't know... WRONG Champ!! It's two toed & three toed! NOT fingers!!! Don't believe me? There's this thing called Google.. Just helping ya out..

Great video! Would love to see the Sloth Sanctuary someday!

Great job videoing and editing! Every interesting content. It looks like a fabulous excursion!
Barbara Carter - it was...21 days in the Caribbean! Longest vacation of our lives!
We got to meet and hold sloths in Roatan Honduras.. They are so cute and gentle.. Thanks for the share..😀👍
You bet...we fell in love with them!
I hope someone explained to him about the giant prehistoric sloths, thats what the statute is about
We did not know about the prehistoric sloths! We loved the tour and felt much more educated about the species. Thank you for watching!
Is it necessary to keep them in cage?
meow meow - That’s a good question to email “The Sloth Sanctuary.” I don’t have the answer to that one...there email is “Contactus@slothsanctuary.com”
I hope they don’t have too many excursions to see the sloths. Humans carry germs and sloths need peace and quiet.
I can see your point, although this sanctuary was very careful! Thanks for tuning in!

And there’s this thing about actually going to the compound and “listening” to the professionals and not relying on the Internet 😬
