- I would recommend waiting to purchase a 2021 Dodge Durango with this particular radio in it. it is a buggy piece of garbage that constantly freezes and you have to reset it while you're driving if you want to be able to use your navigation or any of your Bluetooth features. it's dangerous, it's gotten me lost, it's almost gotten me into accidents and I'm sick of it. I've waited 9 months for a firmer update that never came during its promised time frame. I say to you Dodge, if you want this video removed from the internet. fix my f****** radio

Just traded my 21 Durango RT with 26,900 mi. on it for a quality made car.
I took the Durango into service for the two year's I owned it and suffered many problems, and the radio froze all the time, randomly lost sound, weather app never worked, suspension issues galore, tire issues, brake issues electrical issues. The dealers don't seem to give a damn. I will never ever buy another Dodge again. Toyota and Lexus from here on out brotha.

The fact that I have a 2022 brought brand new with no miles and it’s still not fixed grinds my gears some type of way I wanted this truck so bad and I love music but seeing people have the problem on a 21 and here I have a 22 I feel robbed smh
YES! Mine literally bugs almost everyday! It makes a thumping sound and nothing works. No radio, no car play, no blue tooth. Imagine paying $65,000 just to listen to silence. I do the radio reset and it doesn’t even fix it or factory. It’s horse shit!
I have a 2022 dodge durango I bought vehicle Oct 2022 after two weeks this probably started happening. I'm in the same boat as you. Jan 2023 the truck stayed at the dealer for 20 days. Now the month of February the truck has been there at the dealer to date for 25 days. I have 3800 miles on the truck. I'm going to get a lawyer at this point. Please if u are thinking of buy a dodge durango dont..
I'm done with Dodge. Besides the radio issue now, Dodge is selling their new vehicles $10,000 over MSRP. I just had to buy a work van and I did go to Dodge to look at the ram ProMaster. For the same exact price. I got a brand new Mercedes sprinter. Screw Dodge. I'm done
@keverdmann that's thats what they did to me as well 10,000 more added to the price I'm going back to mercedes benz
We need to do a class action law suit
It's back at Dodge again today. It froze yesterday upstate NY. I had to leave it froze and bring it back to Dodge on long island. The entire ride I had no control over my radio, my backup camera, my climate control. I had to do this because every time I bring it to Dodge they can never get it to freeze. I hope they actually do something this time. Although the guy told me there are no new radios available. The best they can do is give me a remanufactured radio. Terrific! I'm going to get somebody else's garbage!
@@NoFluffRC this happened to me once when it froze. And the a few times it reboots itself. I be mad as hell on a long drive with a new vehicle and no radio.

I'm going to post a follow-up video today on exactly the process you need to follow in order to get your radio replaced. I just got mine replaced this weekend and it seems to have fixed the problem.
I had audio problems, and now when I go into reverse, it goes back and forth between the back up camera and the menu, I’ve almost back up into other cars because It keep switching from from the camera when I’m not even pressing anything

Plays sound but the screen is black screen try tried the screen off button don't work
I ultimately got my radio fixed but I still have weird issues just like that. Sometimes I just need to reset it out of nowhere
The update is finally out, I called today and have an appt Friday to fix, I really love the truck but the radio blows ….. the recall is called Y25 according to the UConnect call in centre and when I called the dealer and quoted that it came right up … fingers crossed !!

I have a 2021 Durango RT no volume and no Bluetooth is the software update out?
@@franklopez8521 yes. I have not gotten it installed yet. But, I've heard from others that after the update issues still continue. 😫
I did the update 2 weeks ago at the dealer and now it does it more frequently. You still have to do the volume button hold for 20 secs for reset.
Picked up my 2021 the 2nd week of Sept. SAME ISSUES, same lack of proper response. I even got the same "we have no eta..." crap!
It just makes me angry that they keep selling these trucks knowing that they have this issue. How more people are not complaining I don't understand..
I forgot to ask. Are you using an Android phone or an iPhone? I have the Google Pixel 2 and 4. Both have the same issue with the radio
2400 miles and I have the same issue. 2021 here. Any update for you?
@@paulajenkins5979 Yes. They actually just released a firmware update last week. I have yet to get it installed but the dealer has the updates. Check with your dealer or go to uconnect website and see if your vehicle is eligible for the update

It's honestly sickening that they are allowing these cars to be sold like this. Check my other videos for how to fix it. I also posted in this video the solution. It's not fun, it's not nice. But that's how to get it done.
Wow this is exactly how i feel. Im going through the same thing with mines as well. They told me the same Crap.
I feel like they're waiting me out just to get to the point where I'm no longer under warranty so they can tell me to go screw.

Did you ever get it fixed? I ultimately did get it fixed under warranty. It just took a lot of back and forth with the freaking dealer.
I just got the car and they did the radio update today I experience the same issue radio audio on the right side only I did factory reset but now I lost the option to control the rear air control does not work anymore &$@@&&87&&
That's terrible to hear. I still haven't done my update I've been too busy to get back to the dealership. It's disgusting how they released these radios into the wild with all these freaking issues. But rest assured the controls will go back to normal. I did a radio reset once or twice and yes you lose control of a lot of stuff but it all comes back..
@@NoFluffRC Yes a thanks , later I turn on the car and the controls are back. I had a Chevy before but I tired to keep bring it to the dealer so I change brands. With this new technology cars relay to much with computers that you can’t do nothing to the cars anymore

5 months later and the radio issues continue. It's actually at Dodge right now. They're probably holding it for a week just to make it look like they did something so they can give it back to me to have the same f****** problems.
@@NoFluffRC Wife has a 19 Journey. Had similar issue. They replaced her radio and it's all good for the last 18+ months. I understand your frustration though. Still, I won't give up on my Mopars.

@@NoFluffRC Dont buy a new wrangler they have galvinc corrosion issues with the steel hinges on the aluminum door and hood panels...I traded off my 2019 wrangler because of this...its not a fixable issue they repaint and it returns again due to the two different materials...google it its a well known issue stay away from the new wranglers they still have not fixed the issues aluminum and steel dont play well together espeacially when they paint the doors with the hinges on and leave the 2 bare metals together underneath. buyers beware !

They're telling me the same thing. "WE have no eta on the update." I'm tempted to have the dealership give me a new radio...but the new radio will probably have the same issue. My truck doesn't have 2000miles on it. This shit is ridiculous
@@DeuceDigital I have 20,000 on mine. I drive a lot. I've only had it for 10 months. This f****** radio has gotten me lost distracted me well more than I would like and I'm sick of it.

@@DeuceDigital well when it freezes you can hold the power and tuning button down for like 8 seconds and the radio will reset. It still happens to me everyday however Uconnect did call me and let me know that their update is available and I have to bring it to the dealer. Just haven't had time.
